You can redeem SBI Card Eternal points through the SBI Card website or mobile app for catalogue items, e-vouchers, physical gifts, or—where your card is eligible—statement credit. Sign in, check the points expiring this month, and place a redemption before the last day of the points’ 24th month. Website: sbicard.com → Rewards → Redeeming Reward Points. App: More → Rewards → Redeem.
What you need to know before redeeming
Eternal reward points belong to the SBI Card on which you earned them. They are not a general SBI Card balance that can be pooled across cards, and they cannot be transferred to another customer loyalty programme unless SBI Card specifically permits it.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Only the primary cardholder can submit a redemption.
- Your KYC information must be updated.
- The account must not be overdue, suspended, blocked, cancelled, or terminated.
- Physical gifts are sent to the registered address, so check that address before ordering.
- The Rewards Catalogue changes over time. Stock, voucher denominations, categories, and point prices can change, so confirm the live details at checkout.
If any of these conditions is not met, the redemption option may be unavailable even when the account shows a points balance. An additional practical check is to make sure you are looking at the card that actually earned the points; a second SBI Card’s balance cannot be substituted at checkout.

Redeem points on the SBI Card website
The official web route uses the Rewards Catalogue. Keep the item, voucher terms, delivery address, and points cost visible while you complete the order.
#1 Best Overall
- Open sbicard.com and sign in to your SBI Card account.
- Select Rewards.
- Select Redeeming Reward Points.
- Browse the current Rewards Catalogue.
- Open the item you want, select Redeem now, and confirm the request.
Save the confirmation details after submitting. If you are using points that expire soon, do not leave the order at the cart stage: the redemption is not complete until you confirm it. Before clicking the final button, check the item description, the number of points deducted, any stated delivery condition, and the address shown for a physical product.
Redeem points in the SBI Card mobile app
The app places redemption under the More menu rather than on the main card screen.
- Sign in to the SBI Card Mobile App.
- Tap More in the bottom menu.
- Choose Rewards, then Redeem.
- Add the products or vouchers you want to the cart.
- Tap Redeem Cart, then Checkout to place the order.
Review the number of points being used and the delivery details on the checkout screen. The app and website should show the points that are due to expire in the current month after you log in. If the menu is not visible, confirm that you are signed in to the primary cardholder profile and that the card is in good standing.

Statement credit
Statement-credit redemption reduces the outstanding balance on the eligible SBI Card rather than sending a separate shopping voucher. From 1 April 2026, SBI Card’s stated policy generally requires requests in multiples of 4,000 points and limits statement-credit redemption to 60,000 points per card per calendar month. The cap and multiple are subject to the exceptions SBI Card lists for particular cards or situations, so check the redemption screen or current terms before submitting.
A redemption fee of ₹99 plus applicable taxes is charged for a batch-processed statement-credit request. The fee is charged once per batch per day, not once for every point or item in that batch. A statement credit therefore changes the card balance; it is not the same as money deposited into a bank account. Verify the eventual posting on the card account and retain the confirmation if the balance does not update as expected.
Cash requests
SBI Card’s FAQ says to request cash redemption by writing through sbicard.com/email or by calling the helpline. The FAQ does not present cash as an automatic bank transfer available from every catalogue screen; ask SBI Card to confirm whether your particular card and request qualify, how many points can be used, and how the credit will be posted.
Do not treat a voucher order, a statement credit, and a cash request as interchangeable. They have different processing routes and, for statement credit, a defined monthly cap and points multiple. If you are close to an expiry date, ask about processing time before relying on a cash request, because an enquiry alone does not redeem the points.
When SBI Card Eternal points expire
SBI Card states that reward points are valid for 24 months. Unused points expire and are forfeited on the last day of their 24th month. For example, points earned on 15 January 2025 remain valid until 31 January 2027, according to SBI Card’s 2026 explanation.

The earning date controls the deadline, not the date on which you happen to open your statement. A point earned at any time in January 2025 therefore has a January 2027 expiry at the end of that month. Redeem before the displayed deadline rather than waiting for the next statement to generate. The deadline applies to the points, not to the date you first notice them in the app.
How the calendar-month example works
The January 15 example illustrates SBI Card’s month-end treatment: the point remains available through January 31 two years later. Points earned in a different month follow the same 24-month pattern, ending on the last day of that later month. Because a redemption can involve a delivery window or a separate voucher expiry, submit the order with time to spare instead of attempting it on the final day.
How to see points expiring this month
SBI Card says the current-month expiring balance is shown after you log in to the website or mobile app, and the same information appears in your monthly statement.
- Open your logged-in SBI Card website or app account.
- Find the rewards or expiring-points view and note the balance marked for expiry in the current month.
- Compare that balance with the points required for the item, voucher, or statement-credit option you intend to use.
- Submit and confirm the redemption before the last day of the points’ 24th month.
A practical routine is to set a monthly calendar reminder for the day you review your statement. Check the expiring-points line every month, especially if you earn points irregularly or hold more than one SBI Card. The points remain tied to their original card, so review each card separately. A reminder is only a prompt to check; the logged-in balance and statement are the records to use when deciding what must be redeemed.
Fees, limits, and account restrictions
| Rule | What SBI Card states | When it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Redemption fee | ₹99 plus applicable taxes for a batch-processed request covering physical products or statement credit | The fee is charged once per batch per day |
| Statement-credit points multiple | Generally 4,000 points per request multiple | Applies under the policy in force from 1 April 2026, subject to listed card exceptions |
| Statement-credit monthly cap | 60,000 points per card per calendar month | Applies from 1 April 2026, subject to listed card exceptions |
| Fee on voluntary closure | The ₹99 fee is waived when the account is voluntarily closed and is found closed on the fee-posting date | Relevant when redeeming around a planned card closure |
The fee rules do not turn points into a cash-equivalent price. Before confirming, compare the points deducted, any fee and tax, and the actual usefulness of the reward you will receive. The fee is associated with a batch-processed request, so grouping eligible items in one daily batch may avoid multiple daily charges; confirm how the live checkout groups your request.
Choosing between vouchers, physical gifts, and statement credit
When the catalogue offers several routes, use the characteristics below rather than choosing only by the headline points price.
| Route | Processing target | What you receive | Key checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| E-voucher | Best-effort delivery within 5 calendar days | A voucher certificate or code | Read the certificate’s own validity and expiry dates after delivery |
| Physical gift | Best-effort delivery within 15 calendar days | A product delivered to the registered address | Confirm the address and item terms before ordering |
| Statement credit | Posted under the applicable statement-credit process | A reduction of the eligible card balance | Check eligibility, the ₹99-plus-tax batch fee, the 4,000-point multiple, and the 60,000-point monthly cap from 1 April 2026 |
| Cash request | Timing is confirmed by SBI Card for the request | A cash redemption handled through SBI Card’s email or helpline process | Ask whether your card qualifies and how the credit will be posted |
The five-day and 15-day figures are best-effort targets, not guaranteed arrival times. If your points expire soon, an option with a longer delivery window creates more practical risk than a route that can be confirmed immediately. A voucher also creates a second deadline: its printed expiry may be earlier than the time you expected to use it.

A decision checklist
- Need speed: An e-voucher has the shorter stated delivery target, but it still needs to be used before the certificate’s own expiry date.
- Need a specific item: A physical gift may suit you, provided the catalogue has stock and your registered address is correct.
- Want to reduce the balance: Statement credit can be useful when your card is eligible and your request fits the 4,000-point multiple and monthly cap.
- Considering cash: Contact SBI Card first; the email or helpline route is not a universal instant-cash button.
Delivery and voucher checks after redemption
E-vouchers
SBI Card lists best-effort delivery within five calendar days. When the voucher arrives, verify the certificate number, value, applicable terms, and printed validity or expiry date. The voucher’s deadline is separate from the 24-month life of the points that bought it. Store the message or certificate safely until the value has been used, and check filtered or spam folders if the expected email is not visible.
Rank #3
Physical gifts
Physical gifts are listed for best-effort delivery within 15 calendar days and are sent to the registered address. If you have moved, update the address through SBI Card’s account-servicing process before ordering. A delivery failure caused by an old address is different from points expiring, so resolve the address issue before spending points. Keep the order confirmation so support can identify the shipment if the target window passes.
What happens if you plan to close the card?
If you voluntarily close the card, SBI Card says you have 30 days to redeem the points. Points not redeemed within that post-closure window lapse. Submit the redemption promptly after closure rather than relying on the normal 24-month schedule.
The redemption fee is waived when the account is voluntarily closed and is found closed on the fee-posting date. That waiver does not extend the redemption window or make points transferable to another SBI Card. If you are planning closure, review each card’s expiring balance before requesting closure, then keep the post-closure confirmation and redemption record.
Troubleshooting common redemption problems
The Rewards option is missing
- Check that you are signed in as the primary cardholder.
- Confirm that the account is not overdue, suspended, blocked, cancelled, or terminated.
- Check whether KYC details are updated.
- Try the website if the app is not displaying the Rewards menu, or the app if the website is unavailable.
The statement-credit option will not accept the number of points
From 1 April 2026, eligible cards generally require 4,000-point multiples and are subject to a 60,000-point per-card, per-calendar-month cap. Adjust the request to the permitted multiple and check whether you have already reached the monthly cap. Card-specific exceptions can change the result.
The item is unavailable or the point price changed
The catalogue is dynamic. Return to the live catalogue and check another available option; do not assume that a previously seen voucher, denomination, or product remains in stock. SBI Card’s catalogue is the place to verify the current price and terms, not an older screenshot or a listing seen elsewhere.
The points disappeared before you ordered
Review the statement and the expiring-points view for the original earning card. Points can be forfeited on the last day of their 24th month, and points from separate cards cannot be combined to recreate an expired balance.
A physical order has not arrived
Allow the best-effort 15-calendar-day delivery target, verify the registered address, and then contact SBI Card through its account support channels with the redemption confirmation. For an e-voucher, use the five-calendar-day target before escalating and check spam or filtered messages for the certificate.

A simple monthly workflow that prevents expiry
- Open the SBI Card app or website when your monthly statement is available.
- Record the points expiring in the current month for each SBI Card you hold.
- Choose a route: e-voucher for speed, physical gift for a specific item, statement credit for balance reduction, or a cash request if SBI Card confirms eligibility.
- Check the points cost, delivery terms, account eligibility, and any fee before checkout.
- Submit the redemption and retain the confirmation.
- After delivery, record any voucher expiry date or verify the statement-credit posting.
This workflow separates two deadlines that are easy to confuse: the points’ 24-month expiry and, for vouchers, the certificate’s own printed expiry. It also prevents a common mistake—assuming that placing an item in a cart, sending a cash enquiry, or opening a statement automatically uses the points. The confirmed redemption is the action that matters.

They are valid for 24 months and are forfeited on the last day of the 24th month. SBI Card’s example says points earned on 15 January 2025 remain valid through 31 January 2027, so the relevant deadline is the end of the earning month two years later.
Where can I find the points expiring this month?
Log in to the SBI Card website or mobile app and open the rewards or expiring-points view. SBI Card also includes the current-month expiring balance in the monthly statement.
What is the statement-credit limit in 2026?
From 1 April 2026, eligible cards generally allow statement-credit requests in 4,000-point multiples, with a limit of 60,000 points per card per calendar month. SBI Card lists exceptions, so confirm the rule shown for your card.
Is there a fee to redeem points?
A ₹99 fee plus applicable taxes applies to a batch-processed request for physical products and statement credit. It is charged once per batch per day. SBI Card waives that fee when a voluntarily closed account is found closed on the fee-posting date.

What if I am closing my SBI Card?
Redeem within 30 days of voluntary closure. Points not used in that window lapse, even if their ordinary 24-month period had not ended. The closure-related fee waiver does not extend the 30-day period.
Bottom line
Use the website path Rewards → Redeeming Reward Points or the app path More → Rewards → Redeem, and confirm the order rather than leaving it in the cart. Check the current-month expiring balance every month. Redeem before the last day of the 24th month, or within 30 days after a voluntary card closure. For statement credit, apply the 1 April 2026 rules—generally 4,000-point multiples and a 60,000-point monthly cap—and account for the ₹99-plus-tax batch fee.
