If you added value to Flazz from a BCA account, that top-up is a separate account transaction. The official materials available do not establish one universal BCA statement description for either an MRT fare or a Flazz top-up, so you should not expect every account to display a fixed label such as “MRT Jakarta.”
To identify an unfamiliar entry, first work out which payment route you used: Flazz, a MyMRTJ or other app payment, a QR ticket, QRIS Tap, or a card or QR payment at a station counter or machine. Then inspect the record for that route. A Flazz ride is recorded against value held on the card; a bank-account-funded top-up is the account activity most likely to appear in BCA account transactions.

What a Flazz MRT fare does to your BCA records
MRT Jakarta accepts bank-issued electronic-money cards, including BCA Flazz, for fare payment. BCA describes Flazz as a payment instrument that stores value on the card and deducts that value when you use it. At the gate, the fare is therefore taken from the balance already loaded onto Flazz.

That mechanism is different from paying directly with a debit card, credit card, or bank-transfer instruction at the gate. The BCA account may have supplied money when you topped up Flazz, but the ride itself consumes the card’s stored balance. As a result, a passenger can have a valid MRT journey without seeing a new, matching debit in the ordinary BCA account statement for every trip.

The account-funded top-up is a different event
When a BCA account funds a Flazz top-up, money leaves the selected account to add stored value to the card. That funding transaction is separate from the later fare deductions. One top-up can pay for several rides, and one ride can use value that was loaded days earlier or through another supported channel. Matching a single MRT trip to a single bank-account line will therefore often be impossible unless the top-up and ride happened close together and the amounts happen to align.
BCA’s Flazz tutorial shows transaction details after a successful top-up. Use those account and card records together: the bank record establishes the funding movement, while the Flazz record or balance history relates to the card’s stored-value use. The sources do not specify a universal text string that BCA must use for the funding entry.
How the main MRT Jakarta payment flows differ
The station action, location of the money, and record you should inspect depend on the payment method. The following table keeps those routes separate.
| Payment flow | What happens | Record to inspect |
|---|---|---|
| Tap a BCA Flazz card at the gate | The fare is deducted from value already stored on Flazz. | Flazz card balance or transaction details; the cited official materials do not establish a standard BCA account-statement descriptor for the fare. |
| Top up Flazz from a BCA account | The chosen BCA account funds a separate addition of stored value. | The BCA account transaction and the successful top-up details shown in BCA’s Flazz information; exact statement wording is not specified. |
| Buy a ticket at a station counter or machine | MRT Jakarta lists card and QR payment options for ticket purchases. | The card or account used for that purchase, rather than assuming it is a Flazz gate deduction. |
| Pay through MyMRTJ or another digital method | The app handles the payment using the funding method selected there. MRT Jakarta notices list app choices, including blu by BCA Digital among available options. | The app’s payment record and the underlying funding account or wallet. The sources do not state how each method appears on a BCA statement. |
| Use QRIS Tap | MRT Jakarta describes using a supported banking or wallet app on an NFC Android phone and tapping at a station gate. The operator says this option was introduced at MRT Jakarta from 30 October 2025. | The app or wallet transaction connected to the tap; no BCA statement label is established in the operator notice. |
How to identify an entry you do not recognize
1. Reconstruct what you did at the station
Start with the physical action, not the wording of the statement. Did you touch a Flazz card to the gate, present a phone, scan or buy a QR ticket, or pay at a counter or ticket machine? Also note whether you added Flazz value before travelling. This simple timeline prevents the common mistake of treating every MRT-related payment as the same kind of charge.

- Compact for travelling
- Card tap: investigate Flazz stored-value records first.
- Phone or app payment: check the app and its selected funding source.
- Counter or machine purchase: check the bank card, account, or QR wallet used at that point.
- Recent top-up: compare the top-up amount and time with the BCA account entry, without assuming that the ride itself generated that entry.
2. Check the Flazz information separately from the bank statement
A Flazz ride is a card-side deduction. Look at the card’s available balance and any transaction detail that your BCA tools provide for Flazz. BCA’s published tutorial confirms that successful top-ups can display transaction details; it does not promise that every individual MRT fare will be reproduced as a line in the linked current or savings account history.
If your card balance is lower after a journey but no corresponding bank-account debit exists, that is consistent with the stored-value model. It is not, by itself, evidence that a bank transaction is missing.
3. Match any BCA account movement to the top-up
For an account entry that you think relates to MRT travel, compare its date and amount with the time you deliberately loaded Flazz. A match supports the explanation that the entry funded stored value. It does not prove that the same amount was charged as a fare: the money can remain on Flazz and be spent on multiple journeys.

Do not infer a fixed merchant name from the fact that the top-up was intended for MRT travel. The available BCA and MRT Jakarta material does not define a single statement descriptor for all customers, channels, or account types.

4. Check the app or wallet when you used a digital route
MyMRTJ payments, QR tickets, and QRIS Tap are not the same flow as a Flazz tap. Open the payment history in the app or wallet used at the station and identify its funding source. If that source was a BCA account, the account record reflects the app’s payment process; the official material reviewed does not say that it will be labeled uniformly as an MRT fare.
What you can and cannot infer from a BCA statement
No universal “MRT Jakarta” wording is established
The reviewed official sources list accepted payment methods and explain how Flazz works, but they do not publish one mandatory BCA statement string for MRT fares or Flazz top-ups. A line may use wording determined by the account product, payment channel, processing route, or internal posting format. Treat any visible description as a clue to investigate, not as a guaranteed template that should appear on every account.
A statement line does not prove which station or journey created it
Even when an account entry is clearly a top-up, it generally identifies the funding event rather than each later gate passage. Stored value can be used after the top-up, by more than one passenger if the card is shared, or for purposes other than a particular journey. The sources do not provide a station-by-station or ride-by-ride BCA statement format.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDo not assume a posting delay
No fixed posting interval for MRT fares or Flazz top-ups is established in the cited material. Avoid deciding that an entry is missing merely because it does not appear immediately, and avoid promising that it will arrive after a particular number of hours or days. Compare the records available in the relevant card, app, and account systems before escalating.

Understanding each MRT Jakarta payment option
BCA Flazz
Flazz is the stored-value option most likely to cause confusion about a BCA statement. The card is accepted for MRT Jakarta fares, but the fare is deducted from the card’s balance. A BCA account appears in the story only when it supplies a top-up or is otherwise used in a separate payment step. You do not need a new smartphone to tap a physical Flazz card at a gate.
Station counters and ticket machines
MRT Jakarta notices describe card and QR payment choices for ticket purchases at stations. That is a purchase transaction, not necessarily a Flazz stored-value deduction. If you used a bank card or QR wallet at a counter or machine, investigate that instrument’s transaction history instead of searching only for a Flazz top-up.
MyMRTJ and other app payments
App-based payment can involve a different merchant-processing path and a different funding source from a Flazz card. MRT Jakarta’s notices list digital options, including blu by BCA Digital among the available choices in the cited notices. The existence of a BCA-related app option does not establish how a resulting payment will be described in a separate BCA bank statement.
QRIS Tap
QRIS Tap is a gate-level option described by MRT Jakarta as available from 30 October 2025. The operator’s flow uses a supported banking or wallet app on an NFC Android phone, which the passenger taps at the station gate. This is distinct from tapping a physical Flazz card, and the operator notice does not provide a BCA statement label for it.

Practical examples of matching records
Example: one top-up, several rides
Suppose you add value to Flazz from your BCA account on Monday and take three MRT trips later in the week. Your account may show the Monday funding transaction, while the three fares reduce Flazz’s stored value. Looking for three separate MRT debits in the bank account would use the wrong payment model.
Example: an MRT-related account entry with no remembered ride
An unfamiliar entry could be a Flazz top-up rather than a fare. Check whether someone else with access to the account or card loaded value, whether the card was topped up for future travel, and whether the amount matches a deliberate top-up. The statement wording alone cannot establish a universal MRT origin because no standard descriptor is published in the official material reviewed.
Example: a ride with no matching BCA account line
If you tapped Flazz and the card had sufficient value, the absence of a new BCA account debit is expected under the stored-value description. Check the card balance or available Flazz transaction details. If you instead used an app, QRIS Tap, or a counter payment, follow that method’s record and funding source.
When to contact BCA
Contact BCA when the card-side information and account activity cannot be reconciled, a top-up appears unsuccessful despite an account debit, or you need help with a Flazz-related complaint. BCA identifies Halo BCA as a complaint channel for Flazz matters. Have the date, amount, payment route, and the wording visible in your records ready, but do not publish or disclose full card numbers, account numbers, passwords, one-time codes, or other credentials when asking for help.
Describe the issue precisely: distinguish a suspected Flazz top-up from a suspected MRT fare deduction, and state whether you used a physical card, an app, QRIS Tap, or a station purchase. That distinction lets support investigate the correct ledger instead of treating every MRT-related event as a direct BCA account charge.
A reliable checklist for future trips
- Note the payment method used at the gate, counter, machine, or app.
- If you used Flazz, record that the fare came from stored value on the card.
- If you topped up from BCA, retain the account entry as evidence of the funding event.
- For app or QR payments, check the app or wallet history and its selected funding source.
- Compare dates and amounts without expecting a fixed “MRT Jakarta” descriptor or a guaranteed posting time.
- Escalate unresolved Flazz discrepancies through Halo BCA with transaction details, while protecting personal account information.
The key test is where the value was held immediately before the ride. Value on Flazz is spent at the gate; money in a BCA account is transferred when it funds a top-up or another payment route. Keeping those two events separate explains why an MRT journey may affect your Flazz balance without appearing as a direct fare debit on your BCA statement.
