Verdict: do not assume Fxprime is a legitimate broker. The name alone does not establish that a regulated firm operates the website, accepts deposits or provides trading services. Without a confirmed legal entity, regulator reference number and website matching an official register, Fxprime should be treated as unverified and high risk rather than as a safe broker.
This is especially important if the contact came through WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, a dating site or an unsolicited phone call. Fraudsters regularly use convincing broker names, copied registration details and professional-looking trading dashboards to obtain deposits.
Is Fxprime a scam or a legitimate broker?
There may be more than one business, website or trading service using a name such as “Fxprime”, “FX Prime” or “FxPrime”. Those names are not enough to identify the company behind an account. A genuine broker should clearly disclose:
- its full legal company name;
- its registered office;
- the regulator that authorises it;
- its licence or reference number;
- the exact website and trading entity covered by that authorisation; and
- how client money is held and withdrawn.
If Fxprime has not supplied these details, or supplied details that cannot be independently matched to an official regulator’s register, do not deposit money. A website showing a company number, licence number or regulatory logo is not proof of authorisation. Clone firms routinely copy those details from genuine businesses.

How to check Fxprime in the UK
For a UK customer, the first check is the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Financial Services Register. Search the legal company name and the reference number—not just “Fxprime”. Then compare the result with the broker’s website and contact details.
- Open the FCA Register directly rather than using a link supplied by the broker.
- Search for every legal name and FCA reference number quoted by Fxprime.
- Confirm that the firm is authorised for the specific services it offers, such as arranging investments, dealing as agent or operating a trading platform.
- Compare the registered address, telephone number, email domain and website shown on the register with the details you were given.
- Check whether the firm is listed in the FCA’s warning list.
The result must match the exact firm contacting you. A genuine FCA-authorised firm can still be impersonated by a clone. Conversely, a company appearing on Companies House is not necessarily authorised to provide investments or foreign-exchange services.
Warning signs associated with an Fxprime investment scam
| Warning sign | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Guaranteed profits or “risk-free” forex trading | Real leveraged trading can lose money. No legitimate broker can guarantee returns. |
| Pressure to deposit immediately | Scammers use urgency to stop customers checking the firm. |
| Requests to pay tax, insurance or a release fee before withdrawing | These are common advance-fee tactics. Legitimate withdrawals are not normally unlocked by sending another payment to a personal account or crypto wallet. |
| Contact through WhatsApp, Telegram or social media | These channels make it easy to impersonate firms and move conversations away from accountable support systems. |
| Payment to an individual, crypto address or unrelated company | The payment recipient may not be the regulated broker shown on the website. |
| Remote-access software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer | This can give the caller access to your banking, email or trading accounts. |
| A trading dashboard showing profits but withdrawals failing | Fake platforms can display invented balances and trades while demanding additional deposits. |
| Recruitment through a “mentor”, influencer or referral partner | The person promoting the service may not be authorised to give investment advice or arrange investments. |
Why a trading account balance is not proof of legitimacy
Fraudulent trading websites can show live-looking charts, account statements and apparently profitable positions. Those displays may not represent trades placed in a real market. The practical test is whether a customer can withdraw funds without paying an unexpected additional charge.

Do not send more money to recover an existing balance. A demand for “tax”, “AML verification”, “liquidity”, “commission”, “insurance” or “account-unlocking” money is a strong scam indicator. Legitimate tax liabilities are generally dealt with through the relevant tax process, not by transferring a fee to a stranger’s bank account or cryptocurrency wallet.

If a broker is properly authorised in the UK, customers may receive certain protections depending on the legal entity, service and product. These can include client-money rules, access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and possible Financial Services Compensation Scheme protection if an authorised firm fails and eligible assets are missing.
These protections do not cover:
- losses caused by falling currency or CFD prices;
- poor trading decisions;
- guaranteed returns that were never real;
- an unauthorised clone firm; or
- money sent to a scammer impersonating a regulated business.
Authorisation also does not make leveraged forex or CFD trading safe. These products can produce rapid losses, and a broker’s regulatory status must be checked for the particular service being offered.

Fxprime fees, leverage and trading conditions
Do not rely on a review, screenshot or sales call for information about spreads, commissions, leverage or withdrawal fees. Before opening an account, obtain the broker’s legal terms and check:
- the minimum deposit and whether it is refundable;
- spread and commission schedules;
- overnight financing or swap charges;
- maximum leverage and margin-call rules;
- withdrawal processing times and payment methods;
- whether negative-balance protection applies;
- the legal entity responsible for the account; and
- the jurisdiction whose complaints and compensation rules apply.
Unusually high leverage, guaranteed bonuses and “managed accounts” promoted by an unlicensed person are reasons to stop rather than reasons to deposit more. A broker may also impose legitimate identity checks, but those should not require surrendering passwords, one-time banking codes or control of your device.

- Stop paying. Do not pay a withdrawal fee or send money to a supposed recovery agent.
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately. Ask whether a card chargeback, bank-transfer recall or fraud process is available. Speed matters.
- Secure your accounts. Change passwords from a clean device, enable two-factor authentication and contact your email provider and bank if you shared login details or security codes.
- Remove remote-access software. Have the device checked if someone controlled it remotely.
- Save evidence. Keep website addresses, emails, phone numbers, wallet addresses, payment receipts, screenshots and chat logs.
- Report the matter. UK residents can report suspected fraud to Action Fraud and report an unauthorised financial firm to the FCA.
Be cautious of anyone who contacts you afterwards promising to recover the money for an upfront fee. Recovery scams often target people who have already lost money.

FAQ
Is Fxprime FCA authorised?
The name “Fxprime” by itself is not enough to establish FCA authorisation. Check the exact legal entity, reference number, website and contact details on the FCA Financial Services Register. If those details do not match, do not deposit.
Can I trust an Fxprime trading account showing profits?
No. A web-based dashboard can display invented profits and trades. The decisive practical test is whether funds can be withdrawn without paying another fee, tax or deposit.
Does FSCS protect money lost to Fxprime?
Not automatically. FSCS protection depends on the authorised entity, product and circumstances. It does not normally compensate ordinary trading losses or money sent to an unauthorised scammer or clone firm.

What if Fxprime asks me to pay before withdrawing?
Do not pay. Requests for tax, insurance, verification, liquidity or account-release fees are common advance-fee fraud indicators. Contact your bank or card provider immediately instead.
Where should I report a suspected Fxprime scam?
In the UK, report suspected fraud to Action Fraud and report the firm or website to the FCA. Also notify your bank, card provider and any relevant cryptocurrency exchange.
The Bottom Line
Fxprime should not be treated as a proven legitimate broker unless its exact operating company, authorisation and website can be independently verified. The absence of a clear register match, unsolicited contact, guaranteed returns or a demand for more money before withdrawal are sufficient reasons to walk away. If you have already paid, stop communicating with the promoter, contact your bank immediately and ignore fee-based recovery offers.
