ForexCT Review: Scam or Legit Broker?

ForexCT should be treated as unverified until its exact legal entity, current ASIC licence, website and payment details match independent official records. Here are the checks and scam warnings that matter.

Verdict: I would not deposit money with ForexCT until its current legal entity, Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), website and withdrawal arrangements have been independently verified. ForexCT has been associated with an Australian forex and CFD trading business, but a historical brand name or an old claim of ASIC regulation is not enough to establish that the website or people contacting you today are authorised.

The key distinction is between the ForexCT brand and the specific company accepting your money. A clone website can copy a broker’s name, logo, licence number and trading platform. If you were approached unexpectedly, promised fixed returns or asked to pay a fee before withdrawing, treat the offer as high risk.

What is ForexCT?

ForexCT has appeared online as a forex and contracts-for-difference (CFD) broker serving Australian traders. These products are leveraged derivatives: you do not usually own the underlying currency, share or index, and a relatively small market movement can produce a large loss.

That description does not answer whether a particular ForexCT website is legitimate now. Broker authorisation attaches to a named legal entity, not simply to a trading name. Before considering an account, identify all of the following:

#1 Best Overall
4X Trading Journal for Day Traders | Trade Log Book for Stocks, Forex, Options, Crypto | 12 Week Plan with 80 Trades | Trading Accessories | Neuroscience Based with Guided Trading Plan | Traders Gift
  • BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
  • THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
  • NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
  • RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. Log energy, sleep and mindset before the open; grade every trade A to F on whether you followed your plan, not on whether it won; then face the pattern every weekend with START / STOP / IMPROVE / CONTINUE. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.
  • BUILT TO LAST, ARRIVES GIFT-READY: Vegan-leather hardcover, 100gsm bleed-resistant paper, two ribbon markers and an elastic closure band. Bound to lay flat so you're not fighting the spine while you write. 189 pages, 5.75" x 8.5", carries in a bag. Ships in a premium gift box: the gift every trader in your life actually wants.
  • the company’s full legal name;
  • its company or business number;
  • the current AFSL number, if it claims to be Australian-regulated;
  • the exact website domain and email domain;
  • the bank or payment account receiving funds; and
  • the legal entity named in the account agreement.

If those details are missing, inconsistent or supplied only by a salesperson, do not send money.

Is ForexCT regulated?

Claims that ForexCT is “ASIC regulated” should be checked on the official ASIC registers, not accepted because they appear on the broker’s website. ASIC’s professional registers allow you to search an AFSL holder and inspect its licence status and authorised activities.

Use the ASIC professional registers and search both “ForexCT” and the legal entity named in the terms and conditions. Confirm that:

  1. the licence is current rather than cancelled, suspended or expired;
  2. the licence holder is the same company contracting with you;
  3. the permissions cover dealing in derivatives or foreign exchange, rather than an unrelated financial service;
  4. the website, telephone number and email address match the register or the firm’s independently verified details; and
  5. the licence has not merely been copied by an unauthorised clone.

A search result alone is not conclusive. ASIC warns that scammers can impersonate authorised businesses and use genuine licence details. Contact the firm using details obtained from an official register or regulator, not the number in an unsolicited message.

Warning signs that the ForexCT offer may be a scam

Warning sign Why it matters
Guaranteed returns or “risk-free” forex profits Leveraged trading is inherently risky. A guarantee is a sales tactic, not a normal feature of a legitimate broker.
Contact through WhatsApp, Telegram or social media Fraudsters commonly use private messaging to build trust and move victims away from independently verifiable channels.
Pressure to deposit immediately Urgency prevents you from checking the licence, terms and withdrawal process.
Payment to a personal bank account, crypto wallet or unrelated company The recipient should be consistent with the regulated legal entity and account-opening documents.
A small successful withdrawal followed by a larger deposit request Scams may permit an early withdrawal to encourage a much larger payment.
Tax, verification or “unlocking” fees before withdrawal A demand for money to release your own balance is a major fraud indicator.
Remote-access software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer It can give the caller access to your computer, banking session or authentication codes.
Only cryptocurrency deposits are accepted Crypto transfers are difficult to reverse and provide weak consumer protection.

Can you trust the trading platform and account balance?

No. A working login or MetaTrader account does not prove that a broker is genuine. A scam operation can display fabricated balances, provide access to a simulated platform or route trades internally without giving you a real contractual claim to the stated funds.

Do not assess legitimacy by looking only at spreads, leverage, charts or an apparently professional dashboard. Before funding an account, read the client agreement and find the exact provisions covering:

  • who holds your money;
  • whether you are trading CFDs or another derivative;
  • how prices are formed and orders are executed;
  • withdrawal conditions and processing times;
  • complaints and dispute resolution;
  • negative-balance protection, if any; and
  • the governing law and legal entity.

Marketing claims about “institutional liquidity” or “advanced execution” are not substitutes for authorisation and a credible legal agreement.

Forex and CFD risks that are separate from fraud

Even if the broker is authorised, forex and CFDs can be unsuitable for many investors. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Costs may include the spread, commission, overnight financing, currency conversion and inactivity fees. A position can be closed automatically when your margin falls below the broker’s requirement.

Regulated CFD providers generally display a standardised percentage showing how many retail clients lose money on their accounts. Treat a high loss percentage as a serious suitability warning. Never borrow money to trade, and do not confuse a profitable demonstration account with evidence of a reliable strategy.

How to check ForexCT before depositing

  1. Write down the exact domain. Do not use a link from an advert, email or message. Type the address manually and look for misspellings, extra hyphens and unusual domain extensions.
  2. Identify the legal entity. Find it in the footer, terms, privacy policy and account-opening documents. A trading name by itself is insufficient.
  3. Search ASIC. Check the AFSL holder, licence status and authorised activities. Save a screenshot or PDF of the result.
  4. Compare contact details. Independently sourced telephone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses should match. A copied AFSL number with different contact details is a clone warning.
  5. Check complaints options. For an Australian financial firm, ask which external dispute-resolution scheme applies and verify the answer independently. Do not accept an invented ombudsman name.
  6. Verify the payment beneficiary. Do not pay a person or an unrelated overseas company when the contract names an Australian licensee.
  7. Test the withdrawal process. If you already have an account and can do so without paying additional money, request a small withdrawal. Never pay a further “release” or “tax” charge to access funds.
  8. Start with no deposit. If the broker cannot provide clear legal and regulatory evidence before receiving money, walk away.

What to do if you have already paid

Stop sending money. Do not pay recovery agents who promise to retrieve the balance for an upfront fee; recovery scams often target people who have already lost money.

Contact your bank or card provider immediately and explain that you may be the victim of an investment scam. Ask whether a card payment can be charged back or whether a bank-transfer recall is possible. The faster you report it, the more useful the payment trail may be.

Secure your accounts if you shared passwords, identity documents or one-time codes. Change reused passwords, enable multifactor authentication, remove remote-access software and contact your email provider and bank. Keep the website address, messages, wallet addresses, receipts, account statements and call records.

In Australia, report suspected investment fraud to Scamwatch and notify ASIC through its consumer reporting channels. If you are outside Australia, report it to your national financial regulator and law-enforcement or fraud-reporting service.

Advantages and disadvantages if the broker is genuine

Possible advantage Important limitation
Access to forex and CFD markets from one account These are leveraged products, not simple savings or investments.
Online trading and charting tools A professional platform does not guarantee fair dealing or solvency.
Potentially competitive spreads Spreads can widen during news, low liquidity and volatile markets.
Demo-account practice Demo execution and psychology may differ from live trading.
Australian regulatory framework, if genuinely applicable Protection depends on the licensed entity, product and circumstances; it does not cover trading losses.

Final assessment

ForexCT should not be treated as automatically legitimate merely because the name has an online history or someone claims ASIC regulation. The safe verdict is unverified until the exact current entity, AFSL permissions, domain and payment destination match independent official records.

If those checks fail, or if the contact promises guaranteed profits, applies pressure, uses private messaging or demands money before a withdrawal, assume it is a scam and do not deposit. If the checks pass, remember that authorisation only addresses the broker’s regulatory status; it does not make leveraged forex and CFD trading safe or profitable.

FAQ

Is ForexCT a scam?

The brand name alone is not enough to give a reliable yes-or-no answer. Treat any current ForexCT website or representative as unverified until its exact legal entity, current AFSL status, domain and payment details are independently checked.

Does ForexCT have ASIC regulation?

Historical claims of Australian regulation should not be relied upon without checking the current ASIC professional registers. Confirm that the licence is active, belongs to the contracting entity and covers the relevant forex or derivative service.

What is the biggest warning sign?

A demand for an additional tax, verification, insurance or unlocking payment before you can withdraw is one of the clearest signs of an investment scam. Do not pay it.

Can a legitimate broker contact me on WhatsApp?

A message on WhatsApp does not prove fraud, but unsolicited investment approaches through private messaging deserve extreme caution. Verify the firm through official regulator records and contact channels before responding or depositing.

What should I do if ForexCT will not let me withdraw?

Stop paying, contact your bank or card provider immediately, preserve all evidence, change any exposed passwords and report the matter to the relevant regulator and fraud-reporting authority. Be wary of recovery firms asking for an upfront fee.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: Do not regard ForexCT as a verified broker on brand recognition alone. Check the exact legal entity and current ASIC authorisation before depositing, and walk away from guaranteed returns, urgent payment demands, crypto-only funding or fees required to release a withdrawal.
