The advertised $630 discount on Dell’s Tower Plus with an RTX 5060 and Core Ultra 7 265 was a historical offer, not a verified current deal. HotHardware reported on February 24, 2026, that Dell was selling the desktop for $1,219.99 against a stated estimated value of $1,849.99. Dell’s pages checked on October 4, 2026, do not confirm that same configuration or price as a current offer.
Is Dell’s $630-off RTX 5060 deal still available?
There is no evidence that the February offer remains available. HotHardware reported the $1,219.99 price on February 24, 2026, and calculated the $630 reduction from Dell’s $1,849.99 estimated value. The article itself called that estimated value optimistic, so the difference should not be treated as a verified saving against a typical market price. HotHardware’s original deal report provides the historical details.

Dell’s current USA product page still lists the Tower Plus Desktop, model EBT2250, and offers the RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 and Core Ultra 7 265 as configurable options. Its preselected configuration is different from the reported deal build. Dell’s RTX 5060 desktop results page also lists the Tower Plus family, but that does not establish that the February configuration or discount is active. Check the selected components and checkout total before comparing prices.
What configuration did the historical offer include?
HotHardware described the February 2026 Tower Plus EBT2250 with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, Intel Core Ultra 7 265, 16GB of DDR5-5200 memory in a 2×8GB arrangement, a 1TB SSD, and a 460W power supply. Those are the reported offer specifications, not a guarantee of what Dell currently supplies or lets buyers select. Dell’s Tower Plus product listing is the place to verify a live configuration.

Dell explains that its displayed “Starting at” price is the lowest price for a preconfigured base setup with recommended services, or the recommended starting configuration price during customization. Selecting other components or support services may change the total. See Dell’s RTX 5060 desktop results page for its current family listing; the starting price is not a quote for the historical deal build.
Is this Tower Plus suitable for 1080p or 1440p gaming?
HotHardware characterized the RTX 5060’s 8GB of GDDR7 as generally suited to 1080p gaming and some 1440p gaming, while noting it is not a benchmark leader. That is an assessment of the graphics card, not a published benchmark of this complete Dell desktop. Game, resolution, graphics settings, and other system components affect actual performance.

What to check before buying or upgrading
Compare the real checkout total
- Confirm the exact CPU, GPU and VRAM, memory capacity and speed, storage, operating system, and included support.
- Compare the final price for the same market and a currently available configuration, rather than relying on Dell’s estimated value or a dated starting price.
- Check stock, delivery terms, warranty coverage, and the seller before treating another desktop as a direct alternative.
Account for the power supply
The reported build had a 460W power supply. HotHardware said that could constrain upgrades and reported optional 750W and 1,000W supply upgrades at $50 and $100, respectively. It calculated a pretax total of $1,269.99 for the deal configuration with its recommended 750W option, using the prices reported in February 2026. Verify that Dell currently offers those options, their prices, and compatibility before budgeting an upgrade.

HotHardware also reported an HP OmniDesk at Best Buy for $1,299 in February 2026, with the same CPU and GPU class, 16GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and 2TB of storage. That build had more storage and slightly faster memory than the reported Dell configuration, but its quoted price and availability are historical. It is not evidence of a current alternative; verify a live equivalent listing and total before comparing.
