Coteccons Construction JSC (HOSE: CTD) reported FY2026 revenue of VND34.34 trillion and net profit of VND788 billion for the year ended June 30, 2026. Both figures exceeded broker forecasts published before the results. At its FY2026 annual general meeting, the company set FY2027 targets of VND42 trillion in revenue and VND1.05 trillion in net profit. Shinhan Securities’ November 2025 estimate
Shinhan Securities initiated coverage on November 10, 2025, with a BUY rating and a VND108,900 target price. Its FY2026 revenue forecast was VND30.112 trillion. The report is a dated broker opinion: the target price depends on the assumptions in that report and is not company guidance or a current valuation consensus.
KB Securities’ earlier estimate
KB Securities’ earlier FY2026 model projected VND27.649 trillion of revenue and VND664 billion of net profit. The later reported revenue and profit were above those estimates, illustrating why an estimate must always be read with its publication date and compared with the subsequent actual.
Is CTD’s backlog large enough to support FY2027 growth?
Backlog visibility improved sharply, but execution is the key test. Coteccons ended FY2025 with VND35.353 trillion of backlog after winning VND29.1 trillion of contracts. Coverage of the FY2026 AGM later put backlog at about VND70 trillion and cumulative new awards at VND60.3 trillion. These figures indicate a substantial order book relative to the VND42 trillion FY2027 revenue target, yet backlog is not revenue until projects are started, progressed and recognized.
Contract intake was not uniformly stronger: newly signed contracts in Q1 FY2027 were estimated at VND14.52 trillion, down 25% year over year. The company attributed the change to stricter selection of customers and projects. That may reduce low-quality work, but it also means investors should track new awards and backlog conversion each quarter instead of extrapolating the headline backlog.

Which markets are expected to drive CTD revenue?
Reported growth drivers include a recovery in residential construction, public investment and infrastructure spending, and foreign-direct-investment-led industrial demand. Repeat business with major developers was important in FY2025: more than 70% of successful-tender sales were repeat sales, according to Coteccons.
Shinhan’s segment view for 2025 placed revenue at approximately 70% residential, 20% industrial and 10% infrastructure. Its model projected 2026 infrastructure revenue of VND2.757 trillion. The mix matters because project timing, margins, payment terms and working-capital requirements can differ substantially between residential, industrial and infrastructure contracts.
What could cause CTD earnings to miss the target?
Materials and subcontracting costs
Shinhan identified raw materials and outsourced services as dominant cost categories. Higher prices for sand, stone, cement and other inputs can compress gross margin when contracts do not allow costs to be passed through quickly.
Execution and collections
Revenue recognition and cash collection can move on different schedules. Coteccons’ chairman summarized the risk this way: “For construction companies, completing a project represents only half the journey with the other half depending on their ability to collect payments from customers.” Receivables, provisions for doubtful accounts and operating cash flow therefore deserve as much attention as reported profit.

Selective contract intake
The Q1 FY2027 decline in newly signed contracts may reflect discipline, but a prolonged reduction would eventually limit future revenue. Compare new awards with project completion rates and the age and quality of receivables.
What do CTD’s margins and balance sheet show?
Coteccons’ audited FY2025 release reported a 3.28% gross margin and a 2.14% operating margin. Total assets were VND29.701 trillion, while debt represented 10% of total assets. These figures provide a baseline for assessing whether growth is being achieved with stable profitability and manageable leverage. A larger backlog is less valuable if margins deteriorate or working capital consumes cash.
