A new BRABUS G-Wagon is not simply an expensive Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Depending on the version and market, it can cost roughly three times as much as the Mercedes-AMG G 63 used as its foundation.
The clearest current U.S. example is a BRABUS 800 priced at $576,170 before sales tax, registration, and delivery. In Germany, a factory-listed BRABUS 800 is priced at €602,494.62 gross, while the limited-production BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition is listed at €709,560.82 gross. Those figures are starting points for specific vehicles, not universal all-in prices.
How much does a BRABUS G-Wagon cost?
“BRABUS G-Wagon” can describe several very different purchases. It may mean a complete vehicle built by BRABUS, a Mercedes-AMG G 63 fitted with selected BRABUS parts, or a regular G-Class wearing aftermarket or replica styling. The price depends heavily on which of those you are actually buying.
For a new, fully specified vehicle, the current documented prices are:

| Vehicle | Documented price | What the price means |
|---|---|---|
| Mercedes-AMG G 63 | $195,500 MSRP for the 2026 model year | U.S. base vehicle price before destination, options, taxes, registration, and dealer charges |
| BRABUS 800 | $576,170 | Specific U.S. configuration, including $45,930 in customs duties and fees; excludes sales tax, registration, and delivery |
| BRABUS 800 | €602,494.62 gross | German factory-listed vehicle price, ex works Bottrop |
| BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition “1 of 30” | €709,560.82 gross | German factory-listed price, ex works Bottrop; limited to 30 units worldwide |
Mercedes-Benz’s current U.S. page lists the 2027 AMG G 63 at $198,750 MSRP. That is useful context, but the BRABUS U.S. specification sheet uses a $224,040 base-vehicle figure, reflecting the particular vehicle and pricing document rather than the basic 2026 MSRP.
BRABUS 800: the price breakdown
The U.S. BRABUS 800 Deep Green specification provides an unusually useful breakdown:
| Cost item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Mercedes-AMG G 63 base vehicle | $224,040 |
| BRABUS conversion | $306,200 |
| U.S. customs duties and fees | $45,930 |
| Total before sales tax, registration, and delivery | $576,170 |
Using the 2026 G 63 MSRP of $195,500 as the comparison point, the documented BRABUS 800 configuration costs about $380,670 more, or approximately 2.95 times the Mercedes’ MSRP. That comparison is not a simple “conversion cost,” because the BRABUS figure includes a specific vehicle specification, customs charges, and equipment that may not be included in a basic G 63.
The German BRABUS 800 listing is quoted at €506,298 net and €602,494.62 gross. “Net” and “gross” are not interchangeable: the gross figure includes the applicable German tax shown in the listing, while the ex-works wording means transport and other costs after the vehicle leaves Bottrop are additional. A U.S. buyer also needs to account for import-related charges, local sales tax, registration, and delivery.

Exterior and chassis equipment
The listed vehicle includes a BRABUS WIDESTAR conversion with extensive carbon-fiber components: front and rear fascia attachments, fender flares, a Powerdome hood, grille attachment, roof attachment with LED headlights, mirror caps, side strips, spare-wheel cover, and license-plate holder. It also receives an illuminated BRABUS grille logo, exterior emblems, blacked-out trim, and special exterior paint.
Large wheels are a major part of the visual package. The BRABUS 800 uses forged 24-inch Monoblock M wheels, with 10J wheels at the front and 12J at the rear. The listed tires are 295/30 ZR24 at the front and 355/25 ZR24 at the rear. Those low-profile tires and oversized wheels may increase replacement costs compared with a standard G 63, although the supplied research does not establish a specific tire or insurance premium.

The interior is fully reupholstered in BRABUS Masterpiece leather with Shell Design quilting and Double-B embossing. Leather covers the dashboard, door panels, center console, steering wheel, pillars, floor, and trunk. Carbon-fiber details appear on the steering-wheel clasp, paddles, handles, pedals, and entrance panels.
The package also includes illuminated BRABUS door sills, a Masterpiece key cover, an indoor car cover, and a BRABUS Weekender bag. These items contribute to the vehicle’s presentation and exclusivity, but they do not add utility in proportion to their cost.

For that premium, the Rocket Edition adds a more heavily re-engineered powertrain and limited-edition equipment:
- 4.5-liter BRABUS Rocket 900 V8 conversion
- Forged pistons, custom crankshaft, special connecting rods, high-pressure fuel pumps, and larger BRABUS turbochargers
- Revised engine software and freer-flowing exhaust hardware
- 900 horsepower
- 1,250 Nm headline torque, electronically limited to 1,050 Nm for everyday drivetrain protection
- Claimed 0–100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds
- Electronically limited top speed of 240 km/h, or 149 mph
- 24-inch Monoblock II EVO Platinum Edition wheels with carbon aero blades
- Adjustable sports springs
- Rocket Edition carbon widebody components
- Bespoke Masterpiece leather and Alcantara interior
The 900 therefore buys more than an additional 100 horsepower. It also buys a larger engine, more specialized mechanical components, additional carbon-fiber work, bespoke trim, and scarcity. Even so, the power increase does not transform the G-Wagon’s basic function: it remains a luxury SUV with extraordinary performance rather than a fundamentally more useful vehicle.
Why the advertised price may not be your final price
There are several reasons not to treat a BRABUS listing as an all-in purchase quote.
- Check whether the figure is net or gross. The German listings show both. A net price excludes the tax represented in the gross figure.
- Identify the delivery basis. The factory listings are ex works Bottrop. Transport, export arrangements, delivery, and local registration are not automatically included.
- Separate customs charges from taxes. The U.S. BRABUS 800 example includes $45,930 in customs duties and fees, but still excludes U.S. sales tax, registration, and delivery.
- Verify the exact specification. Paint, interior, wheels, mileage, and options can make one BRABUS listing materially different from another.
- Get the final invoice in writing. Availability and final specifications are handled through inquiry-based sales rather than a normal online checkout. Confirm the vehicle, VIN, mileage, conversion components, delivery terms, and every excluded charge.
For personal-finance purposes, the important number is not the headline price alone. A buyer should build a total acquisition budget that includes the vehicle, taxes, registration, shipping, import costs, insurance, maintenance, tires, and a reserve for expensive specialized repairs.

No. An advertisement can use “BRABUS G63” even when the vehicle has only selected BRABUS parts. A body kit, wheels, exhaust components, badges, or replica parts do not prove that the engine received a BRABUS conversion or that the cabin is a genuine Masterpiece interior.
Before paying a premium, ask for:
- The original BRABUS invoice
- The conversion or build sheet
- The vehicle identification number and history
- Documentation of the engine conversion and software
- Evidence that the wheels, exhaust, bodywork, and interior are genuine BRABUS components
- Maintenance records and confirmation of who will service the modified vehicle
This distinction matters particularly in the used market. Classic.com reports an average price of $330,971 for its W463 post-facelift Mercedes-Benz Brabus category, with recorded sales ranging from $155,000 for a 2020 G 63 with a BRABUS body kit to $980,000 for a limited 2023 BRABUS G800 SOMO 1 of 10. Those are older W463-generation market results and should not be used as a direct valuation for a new W465 BRABUS 800 or 900.

Does a BRABUS G-Wagon justify the premium?
Financially, the answer depends on what the buyer values. The BRABUS 800 supplies a complete, coordinated package of power, carbon bodywork, forged wheels, exhaust hardware, and bespoke interior work. The 900 adds engineering depth and limited production.
It does not, however, deliver three times the transportation utility of a G 63. The premium pays for factory-level customization, engineering, rarity, materials, and brand presentation. A buyer focused on performance per dollar may find the standard AMG G 63 more rational. A buyer focused on exclusivity and a specific finished specification may consider the BRABUS premium the point of the purchase.

How much more expensive is a BRABUS 800 than a Mercedes-AMG G 63?
Using the 2026 G 63 MSRP of $195,500, the documented $576,170 BRABUS 800 configuration costs about $380,670 more, or approximately 2.95 times the AMG’s MSRP. The comparison is affected by the BRABUS vehicle specification and included customs charges.

How can I tell whether a used G-Wagon is a genuine BRABUS?
Request the BRABUS invoice, build sheet, VIN history, and documentation for the engine conversion, wheels, exhaust, bodywork, and interior. A G 63 with BRABUS-style badges or selected parts may not be a complete BRABUS vehicle.
