Best tech and PC hardware deals 2026 — deals on GPUs, CPUs, SSDs, and more

The best August 2026 PC hardware values include Radeon, Intel Arc and GeForce GPUs, Ryzen CPUs, Samsung SSDs, monitors, prebuilts, laptops and more. Here are the effective prices and key buying cautions.

Deal snapshot: The strongest values in this roundup are the $399.99 Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, $414.99 Ryzen 7 9800X3D, $249.99 Intel Arc B570, $249.99 Gigabyte M27Q2 monitor, and $99.99 1,000-watt power supply. Prices were checked on August 9, 2026, and are listed in U.S. dollars. Retailer pricing, stock, promo codes, and rebates can change without notice.

The best purchase depends on what you are upgrading. A graphics card usually has the largest effect on gaming performance, while a CPU bundle can reduce the cost of a new build. Storage and monitors are easier to buy opportunistically, but a large advertised discount does not automatically make a product good value.

Graphics card deals

GPU prices are the area where comparison shopping matters most. The cheapest card is not necessarily the cheapest way to reach your target resolution, and a low sticker price can hide a rebate or a card with too little VRAM for the games you plan to play.

Best options under $400

  • Intel Arc B570 10GB — $249.99 at Newegg. The ASRock Challenger 10GB OC is down from $275.99. It is a sensible entry point for a new gaming build if you want more memory than many 8GB alternatives at this price.
  • Gigabyte RTX 5050 Windforce OC 8G — $289.99 at Amazon. This card has 8GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus, PCIe 5.0 support, and a listed 2,587MHz clock. It is a straightforward budget Nvidia option, but 8GB may be a limitation for some future games at higher settings.
  • Intel Arc B580 Onix Odyssey 12GB — $299.99 at Newegg. The price is down from $339.99 and the card provides 12GB of memory. Check game compatibility and current driver performance before buying an Arc card for an older game library.
  • MSI RTX 5060 Ventus 2X OC — $339 at Newegg. This price requires submitting for a $20 rebate card. Treat it as a $359 purchase until the rebate terms, deadline, and fulfillment process work for you.
  • Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB — $399.99 at Newegg. Several models, including Gigabyte Gaming, Asus Dual, ASRock Challenger, and Sapphire Pulse versions, are listed at this price. The 16GB capacity makes this one of the more flexible midrange choices.

Higher-performance GPU deals

  • RTX 5060 Ti 8GB — $415 to $419.99 at Newegg. MSI Ventus 2X OC Plus is listed at $415, while the Ventus 3X OC is $419.99. Compare cooler size and warranty before paying extra for the larger model.
  • Radeon RX 9070 — $569.99 at Newegg or $579.99 at Amazon. The ASRock Challenger is the lower-priced listing; PowerColor Reaper costs $10 more at Amazon.
  • Radeon RX 9070 XT — $679.99 at Amazon. The Gigabyte Gaming OC is down from $739.99. The XFX Quicksilver version is $709.99 at Newegg, so the Amazon listing is the better headline price.

The RTX 5090 market is difficult to justify on a component budget. The lowest reported standalone price is $4,399.99, while an Alienware Area-51 desktop with an RTX 5090 costs $4,779.99—only $380 more. That system includes a Core Ultra 7 265K, 32GB of DDR5-7200, a 1TB SSD, a 240mm liquid cooler, and a 1,500W 80 Plus Platinum power supply. For a buyer who genuinely needs an RTX 5090, the complete system deserves comparison with the card alone. For everyone else, it is a reminder not to mistake scarcity pricing for value.

CPU and processor bundle deals

Ryzen 7 9800X3D — $414.99 at Amazon. This 8-core, 16-thread chip is the clearest standalone gaming CPU deal in the list, falling from $479. If you already own a compatible AM5 motherboard and DDR5 memory, buying the processor alone avoids paying for parts you do not need.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D — $333.99 at Amazon. The older 8-core, 16-thread AM5 processor is listed below its former $449 price and boosts up to 5GHz. It remains a potentially better total-system value than the newer chip if the saved $81 goes toward a stronger GPU or larger SSD.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D bundle — $458.99 at Newegg. The package includes the processor, an MSI Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard, and an MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 240mm AIO cooler. The listed former price is $618.99, implying a $160 saving. It does not include DDR5 memory, so budget separately for RAM.

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming OC 16G Graphics Card, 16GB 256-bit GDDR7, PCIe 5.0, WINDFORCE Cooling System, GV-N507TGAMING OC-16GD Video Card
  • Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
  • Powered by GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
  • Integrated with 16GB GDDR7 256bit memory interface
  • PCIe 5.0
  • WINDFORCE cooling system

There is conflicting motherboard naming in the source deal report: its headline identifies the board as an MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi, while another passage calls it B860. Verify the live Newegg listing before purchasing or relying on the board’s exact expansion-slot specifications.

Intel alternatives include the Core i7-14700KF for $359.99 at Newegg and the Core i9-14900K for $469.99. The i7-14700KF has no integrated graphics, while the i9-14900K has 24 cores—eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. These can make sense for workloads such as rendering or heavy multitasking, but account for motherboard, cooling, and power costs rather than comparing CPU prices alone.

SSD and storage deals

SSD discounts are worth checking carefully because storage prices have been under upward pressure from supply constraints, tariffs, geopolitical conditions, and data-center demand.

ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card
  • AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
  • OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
  • Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
  • Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
  • A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
  • Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB — $249 at Amazon. The drive is rated for sequential reads up to 14,700MB/s and writes up to 13,300MB/s. Some deal copy has shown a conflicting $206 figure; $249 is the supported current price.
  • Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB — $399.99 at Amazon. Listed down from $679.99 and working out to about 17 cents per GB. This is the more attractive capacity if your build needs room for several large games.
  • Samsung 990 Pro 2TB — $389.99 at Amazon. It is listed down from $639.99 and rated for up to 7,450MB/s reads and 6,900MB/s writes. For gaming, the lower-priced 990 Pro may deliver better value than paying more for benchmark-leading sequential speeds.
  • Samsung 9100 Pro 4TB — $1,033 at Amazon. It is discounted from $1,359.99, but the absolute price is still high. Buy this capacity for a genuine storage requirement, not simply because the percentage discount looks large.
  • Samsung T7 portable SSD 1TB — $219.79 at Amazon. The USB 3.2 drive is rated for up to 1,050MB/s reads and 1,000MB/s writes. It is useful for backups and moving a game library, but it is not an internal replacement for every desktop workload.

Monitor deals

MSI MAG 321UPXB QD-OLED — $599.99 at Best Buy. This 32-inch 4K monitor is $130 below its listed $729.99 price. It supports up to 240Hz, a quoted 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time, HDR True Black 400, variable refresh rate, USB-C, and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Its three-year warranty includes OLED burn-in coverage, which is an important detail when comparing it with cheaper OLED displays.

For less money, the Gigabyte M27Q2 is $249.99 at Newegg, down from $279.99. It uses a quantum-dot display, supports a high refresh rate, and is listed as Nvidia G-Sync compatible. The Samsung Odyssey G30D 27-inch is $184.99 at Amazon, down from $229.99, with a 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response-time rating.

Competitive players can consider the Alienware AW2524HF for $499.99 at Dell. It is a 25-inch, 1080p IPS esports monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate. That refresh rate is most useful when your system can consistently produce very high frame rates; it is not a good reason to pay extra for a slower GPU.

Asus Zenbook A14 $899.99 Snapdragon X Plus, 14-inch FHD+ OLED Lower-cost thin-and-light laptop

The ABS desktop has the lowest entry price, but its 32GB of DDR4 is an older memory platform than the MSI Codex R2’s DDR5-6000. The MSI costs $359.01 more and adds a 2TB drive, so compare the value of that extra storage and memory before choosing. For laptops with Snapdragon processors, confirm that your applications, games, peripherals, and drivers support Windows on Arm.

Power supply, memory, and peripheral deals

ASRock Steel Legend SL-1000G — $99.99 at Newegg. This fully modular 1,000W supply is 80 Plus Gold certified, ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1-ready, includes dual 12V-2×6 connectors, and carries a 10-year warranty. It is a strong upgrade candidate for a power-hungry GPU, but do not buy a 1,000W unit merely because the wattage is on sale. Check the graphics card maker’s recommendation and your complete system load.

The listed TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan DDR5-6000 16GB kit is $239.99 at Newegg, down only from $247.49. This is a 2×8GB kit with CL38 timings and Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO support. At this price, verify the listing carefully: a 16GB kit is a tight fit for a new gaming PC, and the discount is only $7.50.

How to judge whether a hardware deal is genuinely good

  1. Set a total budget. Include the motherboard, RAM, cooler, power supply, operating system, monitor, shipping, and sales tax—not just the headline component.
  2. Compare the effective price. A $339 GPU requiring a $20 rebate is not the same as a $339 GPU discounted at checkout. Check promo-code requirements, account restrictions, rebate deadlines, and exclusions.
  3. Check price history. Use PCPartPicker and CamelCamelCamel to see whether the “was” price is a meaningful recent selling price.
  4. Match the part to the rest of the system. A premium 4K monitor is wasted on a system designed for 1080p, and a high-end GPU may require a larger PSU, case, and cooler.
  5. Check capacity before speed. For most gaming builds, a 2TB SSD can be more useful than a faster 1TB drive, and 16GB of RAM may be less comfortable than 32GB even when the smaller kit has a sale label.
  6. Review warranty and return terms. This matters especially for OLED monitors, rebate-based purchases, marketplace listings, and open-box hardware.

FAQ

What is the best overall GPU deal in this list?

The Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB at $399.99 is the strongest midrange value shown because it combines a sub-$400 price with 16GB of VRAM. The Intel Arc B570 at $249.99 is the lower-cost option, while the Radeon RX 9070 XT at $679.99 targets higher performance.

Is the $458.99 Ryzen 7 9800X3D bundle a good deal?

It can be, especially for a new AM5 build. It includes the CPU, an MSI Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard, and a 240mm AIO cooler, but it does not include DDR5 memory. Verify the exact motherboard model on the live Newegg listing because the deal report contains conflicting B850 and B860 references.

Are these sale prices guaranteed?

No. These are retailer prices checked on August 9, 2026. Stock, coupons, account requirements, rebates, shipping charges, and tax can change. A rebate price also requires submitting the claim correctly and waiting for fulfillment.

How can I avoid overpaying for a PC component?

Compare the effective checkout price across retailers, check recent price history with PCPartPicker or CamelCamelCamel, and calculate the cost of the complete upgrade. Do not rely solely on an advertised percentage discount or the manufacturer’s MSRP.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Bottom Line

For a balanced gaming upgrade, start with the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB at $399.99, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D at $414.99, or the Ryzen 7 7800X3D at $333.99 depending on whether you need a GPU or CPU. The Samsung 990 Pro 2TB at $389.99 is arguably more practical for gaming than paying extra for a smaller ultra-fast drive, and the Gigabyte M27Q2 at $249.99 is the sensible monitor value. Before ordering, confirm the final price, rebate conditions, stock, warranty, and compatibility with your existing parts.
