It has operated through an offshore company and has presented itself as regulated in Seychelles, but that is materially weaker protection than FCA authorisation. UK consumers should be especially cautious: retail binary options have been banned in the UK since 2019, and an offshore platform does not provide the protections normally associated with a UK-regulated investment firm.
That does not automatically prove that every Ayrex account or contact is fraudulent. It does mean that “regulated” should not be treated as equivalent to safe, and that anyone approached by an Ayrex representative should verify the exact legal entity, website and regulatory status before sending money.
What is Ayrex?
Ayrex is associated with short-term binary-options trading. A binary option typically pays a fixed return if an asset is above or below a specified price at a predetermined expiry time. If the prediction is wrong, the trader usually loses the amount staked.
This is very different from buying a share, fund or ETF. You do not normally acquire the underlying asset. You are making a short-term prediction about the direction or level of a market, with the platform setting the payout and expiry terms.
#1 Best Overall
The structure creates an obvious disadvantage: the possible payout can be smaller than the amount lost. For example, risking £100 to receive a £180 total return if correct produces an £80 profit on a win but a £100 loss on a loss. The trader would need to win more than half of those trades simply to break even, before considering other restrictions or execution issues.
Is Ayrex regulated?
Ayrex has historically been linked with Reliantco Investments Limited, an offshore company associated with Seychelles regulation. Ayrex has stated that the business was authorised by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority.
That is not the same as being authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. A Seychelles licence does not give a platform permission to offer regulated investment services to UK retail customers, and it does not provide the same dispute-resolution, supervision or compensation framework as an FCA-authorised firm.

- Whether the regulator lists the company as active.

Do not rely on a licence number copied into an email, WhatsApp message or sales presentation. Search the regulator’s own register and compare the contact details there with the details supplied by the person contacting you.

Can Ayrex legally serve UK customers?
The UK banned the sale, marketing and distribution of binary options to retail consumers in 2019. The ban covers the fixed-return binary-options product itself, not every form of trading or every derivative.
Consequently, a UK resident should be highly sceptical of any unsolicited offer to trade binary options through Ayrex or another offshore platform. Moving the service offshore does not turn a UK retail binary-options offer into an FCA-protected investment.
Check the FCA’s Financial Services Register and its warning list before depositing money. A firm not appearing on the register may be unauthorised for UK business; a warning may identify a known clone or unauthorised operation. The absence of a warning is not proof that the firm is safe.

Does Ayrex have normal investor protection?
You should not assume that money deposited with Ayrex benefits from UK protections. An offshore platform generally does not provide:
- FSCS compensation for investment-firm failure;
- access to the UK Financial Ombudsman Service;
- the safeguards attached to an FCA-authorised investment firm;
- UK client-money rules in the form a UK customer may expect; or
- a straightforward UK enforcement route if a withdrawal dispute arises.
Even with a regulated broker, compensation schemes do not cover losses because a trade went wrong. With binary options, the most likely financial risk is the product itself: losing the stake after an incorrect prediction. A compensation scheme would not normally reimburse poor trading results.

Why Ayrex reviews often mention withdrawal problems
Withdrawal complaints are common across high-risk offshore trading platforms, although an online complaint alone does not establish what happened in a particular case. Typical problems include:
- requests for identity or source-of-funds documents after a withdrawal is submitted;
- bonuses with turnover conditions that prevent immediate withdrawal;
- fees or “taxes” demanded before money is released;
- accounts restricted after a payment dispute or chargeback;
- long delays with no clear written explanation; and
- sales staff pressuring customers to deposit more to unlock an account or recover losses.
Some identity checks are legitimate anti-money-laundering requirements. The warning sign is not simply a request for documents; it is a demand for additional deposits, cryptocurrency, gift cards or an upfront release fee.

How the trading model works against inexperienced users
Binary options can look simple because the interface may offer only two choices: up or down. The simplicity is deceptive.
| Feature | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Fixed expiry | A small price movement at the wrong moment can produce a total loss. |
| Fixed payout | The payout may be lower than the stake, creating a negative expected return unless the win rate is unusually high. |
| Short timeframes | Noise and spread changes can dominate any underlying investment thesis. |
| Platform-controlled terms | The platform may set expiry times, payout percentages and available markets. |
| No ownership of the asset | You do not receive shares, dividends or fund units when predicting an asset’s direction. |
Regulatory warnings about binary options have repeatedly highlighted the potential for fraud and rapid losses. A polished app, live chart or prominent logo does not change the mathematics of the product.
How to check whether an Ayrex contact is genuine
- Do not use the link in the message. Type the company’s known web address yourself or use a bookmark you created independently.
- Check the exact domain. Look for substituted letters, extra hyphens, unusual top-level domains and websites that imitate the brand.
- Find the legal entity. A brand name is not a regulated company name.
- Check the regulator directly. Search the FCA Register if you are in the UK, or your national regulator if you are elsewhere.
- Call using independently sourced details. Do not trust the telephone number in a cold call, email or social-media profile.
- Reject remote-access requests. No legitimate broker needs you to install AnyDesk, TeamViewer or similar software so an agent can “help” you withdraw money.
- Never share security credentials. Do not provide passwords, one-time codes, card PINs or full banking login details.
Ayrex-branded social-media accounts and individuals claiming to be account managers deserve the same scrutiny as any other unsolicited investment approach. A company logo and copied regulatory wording can be reproduced cheaply.

What if you have already deposited money?
Act quickly, but do not send more money to a supposed recovery agent.
- Stop trading and stop making further deposits.
- Request a withdrawal through the platform and save screenshots of the request, balance and transaction history.
- Keep emails, chat logs, phone numbers, wallet addresses and payment confirmations.
- Contact your bank or card provider using the number on your card. Ask whether a card dispute, chargeback or transfer recall is available.
- If you paid by bank transfer or cryptocurrency, tell the provider immediately; recovery is harder and never guaranteed.
- Report suspected fraud to Action Fraud in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Police Scotland in Scotland, and the relevant financial regulator.
- Change any password reused elsewhere and enable two-factor authentication on email and banking accounts.
Be wary of a second scam. Fraudsters often contact previous victims claiming to be lawyers, regulators or recovery specialists, then demand an upfront fee.
Ayrex: advantages and disadvantages
| Potential attraction | Important limitation |
|---|---|
| Simple up/down interface | Simple mechanics can conceal a negative payout structure and very high loss risk. |
| Access to short-term markets | Short expiries encourage speculation rather than long-term investing. |
| Low apparent starting deposit | A small initial deposit can lead to repeated pressure to add more. |
| Offshore regulatory claim | Offshore authorisation is not UK authorisation and may offer weaker practical recourse. |
Final assessment: scam or legitimate broker?
Calling Ayrex an ordinary “legit broker” would be misleading. It has been presented as an offshore binary-options platform associated with a Seychelles-regulated company, but it is not the type of FCA-authorised UK investment platform many readers mean by a legitimate broker.
For UK consumers, binary options are prohibited for retail sale, and an Ayrex-branded offer should therefore be treated as a serious warning sign. For customers elsewhere, the relevant question is whether the exact Ayrex legal entity is currently authorised in that customer’s jurisdiction and whether the protections are meaningful.
Best Value
Our conclusion: do not deposit money with Ayrex unless you have independently verified its current licence, legal entity, territorial permission and withdrawal terms. Avoid it entirely if the contact was unsolicited, if you were promised guaranteed returns, or if someone is demanding more money to release funds. A regulated offshore claim is not enough to make a high-risk binary-options platform suitable or safe.
FAQ
Is Ayrex a scam?
The brand has been associated with an offshore binary-options platform rather than a conventional FCA-regulated broker. That does not by itself prove that every account is fraudulent, but the product and regulatory risks are substantial. UK residents should not treat Ayrex as an authorised UK broker.
Is Ayrex regulated by the FCA?
Ayrex has historically been associated with Seychelles regulation, not FCA authorisation. Check the current FCA Financial Services Register and the regulator’s own records before relying on any claim made by an Ayrex representative.
Can UK residents use Ayrex?
Retail binary options have been banned in the UK since 2019. A UK resident approached with an offer to trade binary options through an offshore website should treat the approach as high risk and verify it with the FCA.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Does Ayrex offer FSCS protection?
You should not assume that money held with Ayrex is covered by the UK’s Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Offshore platforms generally do not provide the same UK protections as an FCA-authorised firm.
What should I do if Ayrex will not let me withdraw?
Do not pay an additional release fee or make another deposit. Save all evidence, contact your bank or card provider immediately, and report suspected fraud to the relevant police and financial-regulatory authorities.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Ayrex is not a suitable stand-in for a UK-regulated investment broker. Its offshore binary-options model carries a high risk of rapid loss, limited investor protection and difficult dispute resolution. Verify the legal entity and licence independently, and never send more money to unlock a withdrawal.
