What was the AT&T $240 loyalty discount?
The offer was reported as a recurring $20 monthly credit on an AT&T Fiber bill for 12 months:
- $20 per month
- 12 months
- $20 × 12 = $240 total
It was not described as a cash rebate, gift card, refund, or one-time payment. The credit reduced the customer’s home-internet bill. According to the original report, customers who received the email did not need to enroll manually, and the credit could take one to three billing cycles to appear. Android Authority reported the original promotion on August 13, 2025.

AT&T’s general billing guidance says promotional credits commonly appear within two billing periods, although specific promotions can take longer. The written terms attached to an individual offer should take priority over any general estimate.
Who appeared to be eligible?
The strongest evidence points to selected existing AT&T Fiber customers. There was no published eligibility checklist establishing a minimum tenure, qualifying speed tier, geographic area, or universal enrollment process.
Reported recipients appeared to have varied customer histories. One recipient had reportedly used Fiber for about eight months, suggesting that long-term tenure was not necessarily required. Other customers did not receive the offer. The promotion therefore appeared to be account-targeted or inconsistently distributed—not an entitlement available to every “loyal” customer.
Some customer reports also said people with an existing 25% Fiber discount did not receive the additional $20 credit. That information is anecdotal and does not establish an official AT&T stacking rule.

Did the offer apply to AT&T wireless customers?
Not as a general wireless loyalty promotion. The reported $240 offer was associated with AT&T Fiber or home-internet service, and AT&T wireless customers were not shown to qualify merely because they had an AT&T mobile account.
That is separate from AT&T’s public wireless-and-Fiber bundle offers. AT&T currently advertises savings of up to 20% in certain eligible combinations, subject to plan and account requirements. How to check whether your account has an offer
- Search your AT&T email. Try terms such as “loyalty,” “monthly discount,” “Fiber,” “$20,” and “bill credit.”
- Sign in directly to AT&T. Avoid unfamiliar email links. Open your internet or Fiber account from AT&T’s official website.
- Review account promotions. Check the plan, discounts, promotions, and bill-credit sections.
- Inspect the next two or three bills. Look for a separate credit line and confirm that the recurring service charge has not changed.
- Contact AT&T if nothing appears. Ask whether your account has a current targeted Fiber loyalty or retention offer.
You can say:
“I’m reviewing my AT&T Fiber bill and want to know whether my account has any current loyalty, retention, or targeted monthly-credit offers. Can you tell me the exact monthly amount, duration, expiration date, and whether my existing plan and benefits would remain unchanged?”

Questions to ask before accepting an offer
Before agreeing to any retention or loyalty promotion, confirm:
- What is the exact monthly credit?
- How many months will it last?
- What are the start and expiration dates?
- Does the offer require a different speed tier or plan?
- Will your gateway, Wi-Fi service, installation, or equipment fees change?
- Are taxes and fees calculated before or after the credit?
- Will wireless service be required?
- Can the offer be combined with AutoPay, paperless billing, bundle, employer, military, veteran, teacher, or first-responder discounts?
- Will an existing promotion be replaced?
- What will the regular price be after the credit ends?
AT&T’s published discount rules vary. For example, Signature Savings guidance says credits can take up to three billing periods to appear, are not retroactive, and may not combine with other service discounts. Do not assume that a targeted loyalty credit stacks with another promotion.
What happens after 12 months?
If the reported offer runs for its full term, the $20 credit ends after 12 months. Your bill may then return to the ordinary plan price, although another discount could expire at a different time.
Record the expiration date and review the bill before the final discounted month. If the price after the promotion is too high, compare the cost of keeping Fiber with any available current offer or competing service. Compare regular—not just introductory—pricing, equipment fees, upload speeds, data policies, and cancellation terms.

What if the credit is missing or incorrect?
- No credit appears: Wait through the stated billing period, then contact AT&T with the original email or offer reference.
- The amount is wrong: Compare the offer’s written terms with each credit line on the bill.
- The credit ends early: Check whether the start date was acceptance, activation, or the next billing cycle.
- The bill increases: Look for a plan change, new gateway or Wi-Fi fee, installation charge, or add-on.
- An existing discount disappears: Ask whether the new offer replaced it instead of supplementing it.
- A representative made only a verbal promise: Request a confirmation number and written terms.
How this differs from AT&T’s other discounts
AT&T’s public programs are different from the reported targeted credit:
- Targeted Fiber loyalty credit: An account-specific offer reportedly worth $20 per month for 12 months.
- Wireless-and-Fiber bundle: Publicly advertised savings for eligible customers who combine qualifying AT&T services.
- AutoPay and paperless billing: Standard account discounts with their own eligibility and timing rules.
- Employer or organization discounts: Verification-based programs that may apply only to qualifying plans or services.
- Military, veteran, teacher, and first-responder programs: Separate appreciation discounts with eligibility requirements.
- New-customer promotions: Offers that may have different pricing, terms, and post-promotion costs.
AT&T’s public deals page and internet deals page show current programs, but they do not establish that every existing Fiber customer can claim the historical $240 offer.
Is the $240 offer still available in 2026?
The exact $20-for-12-month promotion was reported in August 2025. The available evidence does not show that it remains a broadly available public offer in 2026.

AT&T may still present individualized Fiber retention offers. Later customer reports described different amounts and durations, including $20, $30, and $40 monthly discounts. Those reports are anecdotal and do not establish a nationwide policy. Treat any current offer as account-specific and verify its terms.
Bottom line
AT&T’s $240 loyalty discount was a real reported promotion for some existing Fiber customers: $20 off each month for 12 months. It was not a universal AT&T discount, did not generally apply to wireless-only customers, and should not be confused with AT&T’s public bundle or appreciation programs. Check your account, obtain the terms in writing, and compare at least the next two bills before assuming the savings are active.
