This was a historical Woot promotion from September 24, 2025—not a live deal. After applying the APPLEFIVE coupon, selected M3 iPad Air models fell to $534, $724, and $914. The maximum advertised saving, $185, applied only to the 13-inch, 512GB Wi‐Fi model. The coupon expired on September 26, 2025, and the broader sale was scheduled to end October 8, 2025, or earlier if inventory ran out.
As of September 8, 2026, those prices should not be treated as currently available without checking the retailer directly.

| Configuration | Original price | Deal price | Advertised saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11-inch, 256GB, Wi‐Fi | $699 | $534 | $165 |
| 11-inch, 512GB, Wi‐Fi | $899 | $724 | $175 |
| 13-inch, 512GB, Wi‐Fi | $1,099 | $914 | $185 |
The prices were reported by MacRumors on September 24, 2025. The discount required entering APPLEFIVE at checkout. The advertised price—not the product-page price—was the relevant total, and taxes, shipping, and accessories could increase the final cost.

MacRumors characterized these prices as record lows at the time. That meant the lowest prices tracked by the publication on September 24, 2025, not a permanent guarantee that no later promotion would beat them. Other M3 iPad Air discounts were reported during August and September 2025, so “best-ever” should be read as a dated historical claim.
#1 Best Overall
- Apple M3 chip — delivers strong performance and power efficiency for apps, multitasking, and creative tasks.
- 11″ Liquid Retina display — bright, detailed visuals with wide P3 color and True Tone for immersive viewing.
- 128 GB storage — local space for apps, media, documents, and files.
- Wi‑Fi connectivity — fast wireless performance (Wi‑Fi 6E) for browsing, streaming, and downloads.
- USB-C Port (10 Gb/s)
The promotion also covered selected configurations, not every M3 iPad Air size, storage capacity, color, or cellular version. The $185 headline saving applied specifically to the 13-inch, 512GB Wi‐Fi model.
The biggest catch: a 90-day Woot warranty
Although the tablets were described as new, the historical offer carried a 90-day Woot limited warranty. That is materially different from the more conventional support experience associated with buying directly from Apple or an authorized retailer, where Apple’s standard limited warranty is generally highlighted.
“New” condition does not by itself establish identical return handling, warranty administration, or AppleCare availability. For any comparable Woot offer, verify:
- Who the seller of record is.
- The exact return window and any restocking or shipping conditions.
- Who provides warranty service.
- How Apple’s warranty start date will be established.
- Whether AppleCare is available for the specific device and within Apple’s current purchase window.
- Whether the device is U.S. stock and, for cellular models, compatible with your carrier.
For a small price difference, Apple, Amazon with a clearly identified seller, or Best Buy may be the safer financial choice for buyers who value predictable returns and support. Retailer prices and terms change, so the original report’s comparison with Amazon should be treated as historical.
Which configuration made sense?
11-inch, 256GB: the lowest-cost option
At the historical $534 price, this was the most practical choice for students, travelers, and general use such as web browsing, streaming, note-taking, and light creative work. The limitation is storage: 256GB can become restrictive with large games, downloaded video, photo libraries, or professional creative projects. Storage cannot be expanded internally.

11-inch, 512GB: compact with more breathing room
The 512GB model suited buyers who wanted the smaller, more portable tablet but regularly kept offline media, large apps, or project files on the device. The historical $724 price was $190 higher than the 256GB deal, so buyers should compare that premium with cloud storage or an external USB-C drive.
13-inch, 512GB: the workspace option
The 13-inch model was the one attached to the maximum $185 saving, reaching $914. Its larger canvas was better suited to split-screen multitasking, spreadsheets, digital art, handwriting, and media consumption. It was less portable and heavier than the 11-inch version, however, and its larger display did not make it an iPad Pro: it lacked ProMotion and other Pro-specific features.

- A cellular plan if you choose a cellular model instead of using an iPhone hotspot.
These additions can materially reduce the effective value of a discount, especially on the $914 13-inch configuration.
How to evaluate a similar deal now
- Check the date and checkout total. Do not rely on an old headline or coupon. Confirm that the code works and that the final price appears before payment.
- Match the model number and screen size. The historical report noted that Woot’s 13-inch, 512GB listing was reportedly mislabeled as an 11-inch in its title. Verify the description, model number, storage, connectivity, and size.
- Compare the price gap. A discount of only $15 to $35 may not compensate for shorter warranty coverage or less convenient returns.
- Choose storage before buying. There is no internal storage expansion, so estimate your needs for apps, games, photos, video, and project files.
- Compare generations. In 2026, weigh an M3 discount against newer iPad Air models, current entry-level iPads, and Apple refurbished inventory.
- Confirm accessory costs. A discounted tablet can become an expensive purchase once a Pencil, keyboard, case, and cellular service are added.
Should you have bought it?
The historical Woot offer made sense only for someone who wanted one of those exact Wi‐Fi configurations, confirmed the model details, and considered the savings large enough to accept a 90-day Woot warranty. It was less suitable for buyers who prioritized Apple-direct support, a predictable return process, or certainty about AppleCare.
For a current purchase, check Woot, Apple, Amazon, and Best Buy separately. Do not assume the 2025 prices remain available, and do not treat an old Woot coupon as active.
Status: historical deal. The APPLEFIVE coupon was scheduled to expire on September 26, 2025, at 11:58 p.m. Central Time. The wider sale was scheduled to run through October 8, 2025, or while supplies lasted. The listed prices are not verified current offers.
