Apple reported fiscal fourth-quarter 2025 results for the period ended September 27, 2025, with a September-quarter record $102.466 billion in revenue and diluted earnings per share of $1.85. iPhone and Services supplied most of the growth, while Greater China was the only reported region to decline. Apple’s fiscal first-quarter 2026 outlook calls for 10%–12% revenue growth, double-digit iPhone growth and a 47%–48% gross-margin range, assuming tariff policy and broader economic conditions do not materially worsen.
The results were released October 30, 2025. Apple’s fiscal Q4 is its September quarter; it is not a calendar quarter ending exactly on September 30.

Apple’s consolidated figures are reported in its Q4 FY2025 financial statements. The company also published the results in its earnings release.

Net income rose nearly 86% and diluted EPS nearly 91% on a reported GAAP basis. That does not mean Apple’s recurring earnings power almost doubled. Apple said Q4 FY2024 included a one-time tax charge related to a European Commission state-aid decision. Removing the distortion, Apple described diluted EPS as up 13% year over year.

Revenue growth, operating income and the company’s adjusted EPS comparison provide a more useful view of the quarter than the unusually large GAAP percentage increases alone.
Did Apple beat Wall Street expectations?
Contemporaneous market coverage generally described Apple’s revenue and EPS as above consensus, but estimates vary by provider and by the time they were collected. One comparison cited approximately $102.47 billion of revenue versus $102.19 billion expected and $1.85 of diluted EPS versus $1.77 expected. That comparison was reported in contemporaneous coverage, not issued by Apple itself; see The Associated Press and the cited market discussion.
The safest conclusion is that Apple exceeded the consensus estimates cited by that coverage, while the precise size of the beat depends on the estimate set used.

Which businesses drove the quarter?
| Category | Q4 FY2025 | Q4 FY2024 | Approx. change |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone | $49.025 billion | $46.222 billion | +6.1% |
| Mac | $8.726 billion | $7.744 billion | +12.7% |
| iPad | $6.952 billion | $6.950 billion | Essentially flat |
| Wearables, Home and Accessories | $9.013 billion | $9.042 billion | Essentially flat |
| Services | $28.750 billion | $24.972 billion | +15.1% |
| Total | $102.466 billion | $94.930 billion | +7.9% |
iPhone remained the anchor
iPhone generated $49.025 billion, roughly 48% of quarterly revenue, and grew 6.1% from the prior year. Apple attributed fiscal-year iPhone growth primarily to higher sales of Pro models. Management also highlighted demand for the iPhone 17 lineup and forecast double-digit iPhone revenue growth for the December quarter. Apple reports revenue rather than quarterly unit shipments, so these figures do not establish how many iPhones were sold.
Services grew faster than the company
Services revenue reached an all-time quarterly record of $28.750 billion, up 15.1%. The category includes advertising, the App Store, cloud services, subscriptions, licensing and other services. Apple does not disclose each subcategory’s quarterly revenue, and Services should not be treated as entirely subscription revenue.
Services is strategically important because it monetizes Apple’s installed base and has much higher gross margins than Products. In Q4, Services produced approximately $7.106 billion of gross margin on $28.750 billion of revenue, compared with approximately $47.019 billion of gross margin from Products.

Mac grew; iPad and accessories did not
Mac revenue increased 12.7% to $8.726 billion, although it remains much smaller than iPhone and Services. iPad revenue was essentially unchanged at $6.952 billion. Wearables, Home and Accessories was also effectively flat at $9.013 billion, covering products such as Apple Watch and AirPods.
Geographic performance: China was the exception
| Region | Q4 FY2025 | Q4 FY2024 | Approx. change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Americas | $44.192 billion | $41.664 billion | +6.1% |
| Europe | $28.703 billion | $24.924 billion | +15.2% |
| Greater China | $14.493 billion | $15.033 billion | -3.6% |
| Japan | $6.636 billion | $5.926 billion | +12.0% |
| Rest of Asia Pacific | $8.442 billion | $7.383 billion | +14.3% |
Europe, Japan, the Americas and the rest of Asia Pacific all grew, while Greater China fell approximately 3.6%. China therefore remains the principal regional pressure point. Management expressed optimism about returning the region to growth in the December quarter, but that is a forecast rather than an achieved result. Additional geographic discussion appears in Apple’s fiscal 2025 Form 10-K and contemporaneous coverage from Axios.
What Apple expects for the December quarter
Apple’s fiscal Q1 2026 is the quarter ending in December 2025. In its prepared remarks, management guided to:

- Total revenue growth of 10%–12% year over year.
- Double-digit iPhone revenue growth.
- A gross-margin range of 47%–48%.
- An estimated $1.4 billion of tariff-related costs.
The guidance assumes current tariff rates, policies and applications, along with the macroeconomic environment, remain broadly unchanged. Using approximately $124.3 billion of Q1 FY2025 revenue as the base, 10%–12% growth implies roughly $136.7 billion to $139.2 billion. That is a calculation from Apple’s percentage guidance, not a dollar forecast issued by the company. See Apple’s prepared remarks and the earnings-call transcript.

Apple estimated tariff-related costs at approximately $1.1 billion in the September quarter and approximately $1.4 billion in the December quarter under its stated assumptions. Those are costs that can pressure gross margin and operating profit; they are not estimates of lost revenue.

Cash returns and fiscal-year context
Apple declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.26 per share, payable November 13, 2025, to shareholders of record November 10, 2025. Management said approximately $12.4 billion was returned to shareholders during the quarter through dividends and share repurchases.
For the full fiscal year, revenue reached approximately $416.161 billion, up from $391.035 billion in fiscal 2024. Annual category revenue included $209.586 billion from iPhone, $109.158 billion from Services, $33.708 billion from Mac, $28.023 billion from iPad and $35.686 billion from Wearables, Home and Accessories. Services therefore exceeded $100 billion for the year, while iPhone remained the dominant source of sales.
What to watch after Q4
- Whether iPhone 17 demand supports the projected double-digit holiday-quarter growth.
- Whether Greater China returns to growth or remains a drag on the regional mix.
- Whether Services maintains its faster growth rate and high-margin contribution.
- How tariff changes flow through gross margin and operating profit.
- Whether supply constraints limit availability during the holiday period.
- Apple’s execution on artificial-intelligence features and Siri, which is an ongoing competitive and execution issue rather than a proven cause of this quarter’s results.
These results describe Apple’s performance through September 27, 2025; they are not a personalized investment recommendation.

The Bottom Line
Apple finished fiscal 2025 with a strong September quarter: record $102.466 billion revenue, solid iPhone growth and a faster-growing Services business. The near-doubling in GAAP profit was amplified by a one-time tax charge in the prior-year comparison, while Greater China declined and tariffs remain a cost risk. The next test is whether holiday-quarter iPhone growth can meet Apple’s 10%–12% companywide outlook without a deeper China or supply-chain setback.
