Historical investor discussions have associated Brave with early venture and angel financing, including Founders Fund. But an association with an investment round does not show that an investor owns the whole company, controls the browser, or remains a shareholder today. The available cited sources do not establish a current ownership percentage for Founders Fund, Peter Thiel, or any other investor. Claims that Peter Thiel owns Brave or that Palantir owns it go beyond what those sources show.
Do BAT holders own part of Brave?

Does open-source code mean nobody owns Brave?
No. Brave Browser’s code is available through the Brave Browser repository, but open-source distribution does not erase the company’s commercial operations, trademarks, hosted services, or other intellectual-property rights. Brave’s terms reserve rights in its and its licensors’ intellectual property and restrict unauthorized use of its trademarks and proprietary notices. Code access and corporate ownership answer different questions.
How does Brave make money?
Brave’s FAQ describes revenue from privacy-preserving advertising, subscriptions, Brave Wallet transaction fees, Search API subscriptions, and partnerships.
