The LG G4 is a 2024 OLED TV, so buying one in the United States in 2026 means looking for remaining, clearance, marketplace, or open-box stock—not a normal current-generation launch. Walmart has the clearest evidence of remaining listings, Costco has an official 83-inch bundle page, and Best Buy is worth checking for clearance or open-box units. Stock, sellers, and prices can change quickly; confirm the exact model and terms on the product page before paying.
Where can you buy the LG G4 now?
LG’s current 2026 OLED announcement centers on the G6 and C6 families, placing the G4 two generations behind LG’s current G-series flagship. That does not mean every G4 listing has disappeared, but availability is size- and seller-dependent. LG’s 2026 lineup announcement identifies the newer range.

For Walmart, one indexed 55-inch listing showed out-of-stock status at $1,599.99, a reminder that search results can lag the retailer page: Walmart out-of-stock listing. A separate listing is available at Walmart’s 55-inch product page; check its live seller and stock details rather than relying on a search snippet.
Which LG G4 model number should you look for?
Search using the full model identifier as well as the screen size. Retailer titles may shorten the name to “LG G4,” omit the suffix, or combine the TV with a protection plan. These are original launch MSRPs, not current prices or a guide to what a used or clearance unit should cost. The G4 model codes are U.S.-market identifiers; a similarly named set sold in another country may have a different suffix, warranty, tuner, or power configuration. LG’s 55-, 65-, and 77-inch U.S. pages can help validate listings: 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch.
How to judge a G4 price
Compare the total delivered cost, not just the displayed price. A discounted older model can be good value, but the savings may narrow after delivery, installation, mount hardware, or protection coverage. Compare a specific G4 offer with a current G5 or G6 of similar size and a C-series alternative; the G4 makes less financial sense if the newer set costs only modestly more.

- Start with the relevant original MSRP in the table as historical context, not as a current market benchmark.
- Check whether delivery, room-of-choice placement, installation, and haul-away are included or charged separately.
- Compare the warranty and return terms with the price difference. A third-party protection plan is not automatically equivalent to LG’s manufacturer warranty.
- Verify whether the listing is new, open-box, refurbished, or a display unit before comparing prices.
- Confirm the included items, especially the wall-mount hardware, remote, and any stand needed for your setup.
Walmart’s indexed figures are useful only as leads to listings: they can change and may be attached to marketplace sellers. Best Buy’s indexed 55-inch price is likewise not a current quote. Check the retailer’s checkout page for the actual price, seller, delivery date, and availability for your location.
New, open-box, refurbished, or display: what changes?
These conditions are not interchangeable. A lower price can come with a different warranty, return route, or panel history.

- New, sealed: Confirm that the seller identifies the unit as new and that the manufacturer warranty applies to the U.S. model and original purchaser. Keep the receipt and warranty details.
- Open-box: Ask whether the TV was returned, installed, or used as a display. Check for panel hours or wear if the seller can provide that information, and read the return and warranty terms for the open-box item.
- Refurbished: Identify who refurbished it, what was replaced or repaired, and who provides the warranty. Do not assume LG backs a third-party refurbishment.
- Display unit: Inspect the screen for image retention, marks, and other visible wear. OLED is well suited to varied viewing, but prolonged static content can create image-retention or burn-in risk; that does not mean every G4 will develop it.
For marketplace listings, check the seller’s identity and record, the exact model, condition, serial-number eligibility for LG support, warranty provider, return deadline, and the policy for dead-on-arrival or damaged panels. For a large TV, read the current freight-delivery and damage-reporting terms before ordering; take photos of the carton on arrival and inspect the panel promptly.

- Match the model: Compare the full model number in the title, specifications, and order confirmation with the size and U.S. identifier in the table.
- Identify the seller: On a marketplace, read the “sold by” and “shipped by” information. A Walmart, Amazon, or other retailer page does not by itself prove the retailer is the seller.
- Confirm condition and stock: Make sure the listing says new, open-box, refurbished, or display unit plainly, and verify it can actually ship to your ZIP code or be picked up at your store.
- Read warranty and return terms: Note who handles service, the return deadline, exclusions, and how a damaged-on-arrival panel must be reported. For Costco’s bundle, read the Allstate plan terms separately from LG’s warranty.
- Check package contents: Confirm whether the appropriate wall-mount hardware is included and whether a stand is included if you plan to place the TV on furniture. Do not infer package contents from product photography.
- Plan delivery and installation: Check the delivery method, inspection process, and return logistics before ordering a 77-, 83-, or 97-inch set. If using an installer, confirm wall compatibility and cable routing in advance.
Should you buy the G4 or a newer LG OLED?
The G4 can be a sensible premium OLED purchase if the exact size is available from a seller you trust and its delivered price is clearly below comparable newer models. If the gap to the G5 or 2026 G6 is small, compare the newer generation before committing. Buyers who do not need the G-series gallery design or its higher-end positioning should also compare the C5 or C6; the right choice depends on price, features, and installation needs, not the model year alone.

For this purchase, value means more than the sticker price: a modestly cheaper set from an unclear seller may be a worse deal than a slightly higher-priced unit with a clear warranty, return path, and safe delivery. No listing should be treated as a recommendation until its exact model, seller, condition, live price, and terms are visible.
