The original viral Dubai chocolate bar came from FIX Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai. FIX says it created the bar in 2021. Its signature Can’t Get Knafeh of It combines a thick chocolate shell with pistachio cream and toasted kataifi pastry. You can buy the original through documented FIX channels, including Dubai airport, Dubai delivery and FIX’s online ordering routes, but stock, shipping coverage, customs and total cost change frequently.
Who created the original Dubai chocolate bar?
FIX Dessert Chocolatier identifies itself as the creator of the original bar. Visit Dubai identifies British-Egyptian Dubai resident Sarah Hamouda as FIX’s founder. TIME reports that Filipino chef Nouel Catis Omamalin helped develop and refine the recipe.
The product became known as Can’t Get Knafeh of It. The name refers to knafeh (also spelled kunafa), a Middle Eastern dessert tradition that commonly pairs cheese or cream with crisp, shredded pastry and syrup.

FIX describes a thick Belgian chocolate shell filled with pistachio cream and toasted kataifi pastry. Kataifi is the fine, shredded pastry responsible for the audible crunch featured in many videos. The combination is a chocolate-bar interpretation of knafeh rather than a standard solid chocolate bar.

Why did it become famous?
Food influencer Maria Vehera’s December 2023 TikTok helped trigger the international surge. TIME describes another wave of attention in late 2023 and early 2024 as TikTok creators highlighted the dramatic filling and crunchy sound. The Associated Press reported that the product had exploded across social media by 2023.
Where can you buy the original FIX bar?
In Dubai
Visit Dubai lists a dedicated FIX stand at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. That is a particularly practical option for travelers, but airport stock can sell out and may be subject to travel-security and customs rules for your destination.

Visit Dubai says customers in Dubai could order FIX through Careem delivery. Delivery availability and delivery fees depend on the location and the live Careem listing.

How to avoid paying for a copy by mistake
“Dubai chocolate” now describes both the FIX product and a broad category of pistachio-and-kataifi chocolate made by other companies. Geographic wording alone does not prove that a listing is the original.
