Bot-It appears to still be operating, but the $300,000 deal it accepted from Mark Cuban and Michael Rubin on Shark Tank has never been conclusively confirmed as closed. Recent secondary reporting says the online-automation company continued offering subscriptions and maintaining social activity into 2026. However, its current official website, pricing, customer count, revenue, profitability, and the final status of the Shark investment remain difficult to verify from first-party sources.
What is Bot-It?
Bot-It is a no-code or low-code online-automation service founded by Maurice Bachelor and Joel Griffith. The platform was designed to let consumers and businesses configure automated workflows without writing traditional software.
Reported use cases included monitoring product availability, finding canceled reservations, booking appointments and restaurant tables, securing golf tee times, searching for tickets, checking prices, and automating other repetitive browser-based tasks. In a January 2024 interview, Bachelor also described custom automation, artificial-intelligence development, and CAPTCHA-related capabilities. Those feature descriptions came from the founder and do not establish that every feature remains available or is permitted by every target website.

Bot-It’s basic proposition was straightforward: instead of repeatedly refreshing a website or manually completing the same process, a user could configure a bot to watch for a condition and take action.

That proposition also created controversy. Automation may be acceptable for routine workflows, but it can violate a website’s terms when it bypasses queues, CAPTCHA systems, purchase limits, or other anti-bot protections. A service appearing on Shark Tank is not evidence that its use is legal, safe, or authorized by the websites it interacts with.
What happened to Bot-It on Shark Tank?
Bot-It appeared in Season 15, Episode 3, which aired on October 13, 2023, according to ABC’s episode listing.
The founders asked for $150,000 for 10% equity. That request implied a $1.5 million post-money valuation. At the time, the company reportedly had about $30,000 in sales after approximately three months in business.

The accepted terms implied a $1 million post-money valuation, but the on-air agreement was not necessarily the same as a completed legal investment.
Did Mark Cuban and Michael Rubin actually invest?
The deal remains publicly unconfirmed. Bot-It accepted the offer on camera, but no clear first-party announcement from Bot-It, Cuban, or Rubin has established that the investment ultimately closed.

Why some reports say the deal closed
Shark Tank Blog reported that Bot-It’s redesigned website and the founders’ later public comments made the deal appear to have closed by March 2024. Other update sites, including Shark Tank Talks, have also listed the offer as secured.
Why the closing is still uncertain
SlashGear noted that Bot-It did not appear on Mark Cuban’s public investment listing and that the founders’ post-show comments did not clearly state that the transaction had been completed. A later BGR update likewise described the deal as lacking concrete confirmation.
Neither the absence from a public portfolio list nor the presence of a redesigned website proves the deal failed or closed. Shark Tank agreements can be subject to due diligence, documentation, valuation changes, and other closing conditions.

What happened to Bot-It after the show?
Post-show reporting indicated that Bot-It redesigned or rebranded its website, reportedly in November 2023. Coverage also described multiple subscription tiers, additional prebuilt bots, and support features. Because the current official site and live pricing were not independently verified, those should be treated as reported post-show changes rather than confirmed current offerings.
In a January 17, 2024 Eqvista interview, Bachelor said Bot-It had completed a recent funding round. He said the money would support artificial-intelligence capabilities, bot maintenance and self-repair, more personalized customer experiences, sales expansion, and features such as AirBot and AI Smart Label.

The interview did not disclose the funding amount or identify the investors. It also does not establish that Cuban or Rubin participated. The funding claim is founder-reported, not an independently audited financing announcement.

Is Bot-It still in business in 2026?
Probably, but the evidence is mostly secondary. A February 2026 BGR update reported that Bot-It was still operating, offering subscription tiers, and showing continuing activity on LinkedIn and Facebook. The same report said Instagram and TikTok activity appeared to have stopped around August 2025.
That supports the conclusion that Bot-It survived beyond its television appearance. It does not prove that the service is actively accepting new customers today, that its bots are being maintained, or that the company is financially healthy.
These are different claims:
- Still in business: supported by recent secondary reporting.
- Currently accepting customers: not independently verified here.
- Actively maintained: unclear.
- Growing: not established by the available evidence.
- Profitable: no reliable public evidence.
One third-party source estimated Bot-It’s value at roughly $1 million. That should not be treated as a confirmed valuation or net worth. The $1 million figure also resembles the post-money valuation implied by the televised terms, but that mathematical implication does not establish the company’s present value.
Did Shark Tank make Bot-It successful?
The appearance appears to have generated short-term attention. Reporting summarized by SlashGear said Bot-It gained approximately 200 subscribers in the two weeks after the episode aired. A local television report reportedly described “record sales,” but did not publish revenue figures.
Those indicators suggest a publicity boost, not necessarily sustained success. There is no independently verified public information here showing Bot-It’s current revenue, retention, customer count, margins, profitability, or long-term growth.

There is no blanket answer. The risk depends on what the bot does, which website it accesses, how it handles personal information, and whether the target website permits automation.

Before using any online-automation service, check:
- The target website’s terms of service and automation rules.
- Whether the workflow bypasses CAPTCHA, queues, purchase limits, or access controls.
- Whether the service requires passwords, payment information, session cookies, or other credentials.
- What happens if the bot makes a mistaken reservation, purchase, or cancellation.
- Refund and cancellation policies for failed runs.
- How personal data is stored, retained, deleted, and protected.
- Whether customer support is available when a website changes its design.
Browser automation is inherently fragile. A target website can change its layout, authentication process, rate limits, or anti-bot systems without notice. A bot that worked previously may stop working or produce an incorrect result. CAPTCHA bypassing is particularly sensitive; the founder’s interview mention does not establish that such a feature remains offered, is lawful in every jurisdiction, or is allowed by the target website.

Bot-It’s reported approach may appeal to consumers monitoring difficult-to-book reservations, small businesses needing basic browser automation, or nontechnical users who want a custom workflow without commissioning a full software project.
It may be a poor fit for organizations that need enterprise-grade compliance controls, stable APIs, extensive audit logs, guaranteed uptime, or automation that a target website explicitly prohibits.
Before subscribing, ask:
- Does the service currently support the exact website and task you need?
- Is the automation allowed by that website?
- Will you have to provide passwords, payment details, or session cookies?
- Are usage limits based on runs, tasks, websites, or accounts?
- What support is available when the workflow fails?
- Are unsuccessful bookings or purchases refundable?
- Can you export and delete your data?
- Does the service provide logs showing what the bot did?
- Is CAPTCHA handling supported, and under what restrictions?
Alternatives to compare
Bot-It is aimed more at browser-based and consumer task automation. Other tools may be better depending on the workflow:

Bottom line on Bot-It
Bot-It appears to have survived its Shark Tank appearance and continued developing its automation platform after the episode. The show generated at least a reported short-term subscriber increase, and the founder later described additional funding and AI-related development.
The Shark deal should be described more cautiously. Bot-It accepted Mark Cuban and Michael Rubin’s $300,000-for-30% offer on camera, but the public evidence does not conclusively show that the investment closed. Current pricing, availability, financial performance, valuation, and product reliability also remain unverified.
