Best Buy lists a $1,299.99 comparable value, but that figure is not proof of the phone’s typical selling price. The available listing does not verify a “today only” deadline, and prices and stock can change, so confirm the final price and exact model before buying.
Deal snapshot: Best Buy’s listed offer is for a new, unlocked Motorola razr ultra 2025 with 512GB storage. The listing shows $699.99, a $600 reduction from its stated $1,299.99 comparable value. Mountain Trail and Rio Red product pages were observed at that price; color availability can vary. Check the Mountain Trail listing or Rio Red listing for the current offer.
The $799 headline is out of date
The $799.99 price was previously described as a record-low deal, but later deal coverage reported a $699.99 price as a new low. That makes the older $799 claim stale against the lower Best Buy listing found for this deal. The evidence supports calling $699.99 the lowest price found in the cited coverage—not a guaranteed all-time low across every retailer, coupon, trade-in, open-box listing, or past promotion.
Nor does the available Best Buy page establish that the offer ends today. Treat it as a current listed price, subject to stock and retailer changes, rather than a verified one-day promotion. The retailer’s $1,299.99 comparison is its stated reference value; it should not be read as proof that shoppers routinely pay that amount.

What you get for $699.99
This is a premium 2025 flip phone, not the standard Razr and not the 2026 Ultra. The discounted Best Buy configuration has 512GB storage; Motorola’s product materials also reference a 1TB configuration, but that is not the offer described here. Motorola lists 16GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, a 7-inch-class foldable inner display, and a 4-inch external display. The phone has a 50MP camera system, supports up to 68W wired charging and wireless charging, and carries an IP48 rating. The Best Buy deal is for an unlocked U.S. model. Motorola’s compatibility table lists support for major carriers and many MVNOs, but not every service: it marks Republic Wireless and Ting as incompatible. Before switching a SIM or porting a number, check the exact model against your carrier’s network, plan, VoLTE, and Wi-Fi calling requirements using Motorola’s carrier compatibility information.

How it compares with the 2026 Razr lineup
The 2025 Ultra is now a previous-generation device. Motorola announced the razr ultra 2026 at a U.S. launch MSRP of $1,499.99, while the standard razr 2026 launched at $799.99. Those launch prices are useful context, not a like-for-like performance comparison: the standard Razr is a different tier, and the available information here does not establish that the older Ultra is better or worse than the 2026 Ultra in real-world use. At $699.99, the 2025 Ultra is worth considering if you specifically want a high-end flip phone and are comfortable buying last year’s model. Paying more for a newer device may make sense if you prioritize the latest hardware or a longer remaining software-support runway. The launch price alone does not quantify those benefits; compare the current prices, specifications, and support terms before deciding.

Foldable-phone costs to weigh before you buy
A low upfront price does not remove the financial risk of owning a foldable. The inner screen and hinge make this a different ownership proposition from a conventional slab phone, and IP48 protection should not be treated as a guarantee against damage. Motorola says physical and liquid damage are excluded from its standard warranty. A cracked screen or liquid damage could therefore mean a costly repair or replacement rather than a free warranty fix. Review the warranty and available repair options before checkout, and compare any accidental-damage plan with insurance you already have or your willingness to self-insure.
Motorola’s user guide describes a screen protector designed for the foldable display. Do not casually peel it off or substitute an incompatible protector; consult the Razr Ultra 2025 user guide and manufacturer support for care instructions. Also verify what comes in the box for the exact Best Buy SKU. A stated 68W charging capability does not mean a 68W charger is included.

Before placing the order
- Confirm the title says Motorola razr ultra 2025, not razr, razr+, razr 2026, or razr fold.
- Check that the listing is the 512GB unlocked model, not a different storage configuration.
- Make sure the condition is new and identify who is selling the item; do not compare an open-box or marketplace offer as if it were the same deal.
- Confirm compatibility with your exact carrier and plan, especially if you use an MVNO.
- Check color-specific stock, delivery or pickup availability, the return terms, and what accessories are included.
- Review protection-plan terms and cost separately. Coverage is optional and may overlap with existing insurance.
- Check the cart total, including taxes, shipping, add-ons, and any financing terms. Monthly payments do not make the phone cheaper if the total paid is unchanged.
- If the retailer labels the price temporary, save the offer details and verify the price again at checkout; the cited listing does not establish a universal expiration time.
Who should buy—and who should wait
Consider buying if you want a premium flip form factor, need 512GB, have confirmed carrier compatibility, and are comfortable with the 2025 generation and foldable-screen care. At the cited $699.99 price, it is materially cheaper than the 2026 Ultra’s launch MSRP, though that comparison is not a guarantee of equivalent features or value.
