Best Buy’s indexed Spectre search results also show a different 16-inch model at $1,896.24 with a stated $568.87 saving. That is not evidence that the 14-inch, 32GB/2TB deal is available at $1,299.

The glossy screen can reflect windows and overhead lights, the high resolution may require Windows scaling, and OLED generally consumes more power than a lower-resolution IPS panel. Static elements displayed for unusually long periods can also create image-retention or burn-in concerns over time. Those capacities are more generous than what many premium thin-and-light laptops offer at similar sale prices.
However, Intel Arc here is integrated graphics. It is substantially more capable than older basic integrated graphics for casual and lighter gaming, but it is not a replacement for a discrete gaming GPU. Demanding modern games, GPU-heavy 3D work, and sustained workstation rendering are outside this laptop’s ideal use case—especially at the display’s native 2880×1800 resolution.
A flexible premium convertible
The 360-degree hinge supports conventional laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes. That makes the Spectre useful for handwritten notes, presentations, travel, drawing, and watching video. The documented 14-inch series includes two Thunderbolt 4/USB4 Type-C ports with USB-C Power Delivery and DisplayPort support, one USB-A port, a headphone/microphone combo jack, and a microSD card reader. WIRED specifically criticized the limited selection and awkward spring-loaded USB-A arrangement.
If you regularly connect HDMI, Ethernet, several USB-A peripherals, or multiple monitors, budget for a USB-C or Thunderbolt dock. The two USB-C ports provide fast expansion, but the thin convertible does not offer the built-in port variety of a larger business laptop.
Battery life is a relative strength in reviews, but it is not a guaranteed number. Brightness, 120Hz operation, video calls, browser workload, Windows power mode, and battery health can materially change runtime. The OLED panel’s resolution and refresh rate can also increase power consumption compared with simpler IPS alternatives.

But a claimed $600 saving is not enough by itself. Retailers may show a regular price, comparable value, or manufacturer reference price that does not reflect the laptop’s recent selling prices. Earlier coverage reported similar 2024 Spectre x360 deals in roughly the $999–$1,299 range, so $1,299 is attractive without necessarily being the lowest price ever.
