The Fitbit Charge 6 did reach $99.95—roughly $100—at Amazon on November 29, 2024. That was a historical Black Friday price, not a live Black Friday 2026 offer. In the U.S. Google Store price snapshot checked on August 16, 2026, the tracker was $119.95, reduced from $159.95.
At around $100, the Charge 6 is a strong buy for shoppers who want built-in GPS in a slim fitness tracker. At $119.95, it is still worth considering, but the deal is less compelling. Near its $159.95 list price, compare more carefully with newer fitness and running watches.
Was the Fitbit Charge 6 really available for $100?
Yes. Engadget reported an Amazon Black Friday price of $99.95 on November 29, 2024. The price was commonly rounded to $100 and described at the time as a record low.
That wording needs context: “record low” referred to the price observed in that deal report, not a permanent price cut or a guaranteed all-time lowest price. Other 2024 Black Friday coverage also listed the Charge 6 near $100, including a $99 listing at Best Buy and a $100 comparison price at Kohl’s.

No current $100 Black Friday 2026 offer is supported by the available evidence. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27, 2026, so the 2024 headline should not be read as a current promotion.
In the U.S. Google Store snapshot checked on August 16, 2026, the Charge 6 was listed at $119.95, reduced from a regular price of $159.95. The displayed $40 promotion was scheduled to end August 23, 2026. Prices, stock, colors, and promotions can change, so verify the price at checkout.

What you get from the Charge 6 at around $100
The main reason to choose the Charge 6 over a cheaper basic tracker is its built-in GPS. Runners and cyclists can record pace and distance without carrying a phone during the workout. It also offers:

It is still a fitness tracker rather than a full smartwatch. Built-in GPS does not make every feature phone-independent: setup, syncing, notifications, map configuration, music controls, and some account-based functions still rely on a compatible phone, a Google Account, internet access, or nearby connectivity.
What requires a subscription?
Basic activity, sleep, heart-rate, and workout tracking should not be confused with the full Google Health Premium experience. Google’s current product pages identify Premium features such as personalized coaching, adaptive fitness plans, detailed sleep insights, proactive insights, medical-record summaries, workout content, and mindfulness sessions.
The Google Health Premium page displayed pricing from $9.99 and promoted three months of personalized coaching. The Charge 6 page also displayed three months of Google Health Premium included with the device. Trial eligibility, renewal terms, taxes, and the price after the trial can vary, so check the terms before accepting the offer.

Fitbit Charge 6 vs. Fitbit Inspire 3
The Fitbit Inspire 3 is the obvious cheaper alternative, but it is not equivalent for outdoor workouts.

Choose the Inspire 3 if carrying a phone is acceptable and your priorities are steps, sleep, heart rate, stress, and basic exercise tracking. Choose the Charge 6 if leaving your phone behind for an outdoor workout is important.

Important limitations before buying
Health features vary by market
ECG, SpO2, irregular-rhythm notifications, breathing-rate data, and related health features may not be available everywhere. They are wellness tools, not medical diagnoses or substitutes for professional care.
Compatibility is required
The Charge 6 is listed as compatible with most phones running Android 11 or newer or iOS 16.4 or newer. It also requires a Google Account and internet access. Confirm compatibility before purchase, particularly if you use an older phone.

The device is rated for water resistance up to 50 meters, but that does not mean it is suitable for high-pressure water, high-temperature water, or every swimming and bathing situation. Water resistance can decline with wear or damage.

Apple Health expectations may matter
Older deal coverage identified the lack of Apple Health integration as a drawback. App integrations can change, so iPhone users who depend on Apple Health should verify the current support before buying rather than assume data will sync as desired.
Should you buy the Fitbit Charge 6?
- At about $100: Yes, if you want built-in GPS, a slim tracker, long battery life, and basic smartwatch features without paying smartwatch prices.
- At about $120: It is still a reasonable conditional buy, especially if standalone GPS and Google Wallet matter. The discount is simply less exceptional.
- Near $160: Compare before buying. At its list price, the Charge 6 loses much of the value that made the Black Friday deal attractive.
Buy only a new, returnable unit from an authorized retailer or a clearly identified seller. The best price can apply to one color, limited inventory, or a particular marketplace seller. A deal page may also show a cached price that disappears at checkout.
Black Friday fitness-deal checklist
- Confirm the retailer, seller, condition, color, and exact model.
- Check that the price is still displayed in the cart and at checkout.
- Compare the price with the $99.95 historical benchmark rather than relying only on “sale” language.
- Review the return policy and warranty coverage.
- Confirm your phone meets the Android or iPhone compatibility requirements.
- Read Google Health Premium trial and renewal terms before activating any included offer.
The Charge 6’s $99.95 price was real, but it belonged to Black Friday 2024. Its value remains strongest when a new unit falls near $100; at $119.95 it is a reasonable GPS-focused tracker, while the full $159.95 price deserves more careful comparison.
