The reported $799 price for the 13-inch M4 MacBook Air was the standout laptop offer in the roundup. It was positioned as a top pick for students and everyday users because it combines a relatively light design with enough performance for schoolwork, office applications, browsing and media.
Before treating a MacBook discount as exceptional, check the exact memory and storage configuration. A low price on a base model may be less attractive if you immediately need more storage. Also compare the retailer’s price with Apple’s current direct price and education pricing. Apple hardware discounts commonly appear through retailers rather than Apple’s own store.
Buy if: you want macOS, already use Apple devices and need a general-purpose laptop. Skip if: you need Windows-only software, extensive gaming support or a large selection of ports.
Best tablet deal: 11-inch M3 iPad Air at a reported $449
The reported $449 price for the 11-inch M3 iPad Air included a $150 reduction. The Air was recommended over the entry-level iPad for shoppers who valued its display, speakers, accessory support and expected longevity.
That recommendation only makes sense when the configuration is clear. Verify storage, connectivity and whether a keyboard or stylus is included; accessories can materially change the final cost. Cellular models also cost more than Wi-Fi versions.

Buy if: you want a tablet for school, drawing, multitasking or several years of use. Choose the cheaper iPad instead if your needs are mostly streaming, reading and light browsing.

The same coverage reported a four-pack of AirTags at $80 and a 24-inch M4 iMac at $1,149. The AirTag four-pack lowers the per-tracker price, but it is only economical if you need multiple trackers and use an iPhone. The iMac deal may suit buyers who want an all-in-one desktop, but a monitor, Windows compatibility and upgrade flexibility may make another computer a better financial choice.
Dyson, Shark and Eufy: compare the vacuum, not just the discount

The Dyson 360 Vis Nav was listed at $500, described as $500 off. Engadget highlighted its suction and obstacle-avoidance performance. Those are editorial assessments, not a guarantee for every home or floor type.

A discount of $500 deserves scrutiny. It may reflect an older product, a retailer’s inventory position or a broader price reset rather than a short-lived Labor Day promotion. Check whether the unit is new, refurbished or manufacturer-certified, and confirm the included dock, tools and warranty provider.

Best cheap headphones: Sony WH-CH520 at a reported $35

In the original article, “today” meant September 2, 2025. Labor Day promotions can continue after the holiday, but inventory and prices can change hourly. A deal should therefore be treated as live only when the retailer shows the advertised price for the correct item at checkout.
For a 2026 update, each offer would need a fresh timestamp, retailer confirmation, stock check and expiration date. Without that verification, the responsible conclusion is historical: the 2025 roundup identified several potentially strong values, but none should be presented as a current 2026 bargain.
