As of the August 16, 2026 shopping snapshot, no 2026 early Black Friday Mac deal has been independently verified. That means there isn’t a confirmed deal list to recommend yet—and summer sale labels such as “Black Friday in July” are not proof of a November promotion. If you can wait, keep tracking prices; if you need a Mac now, judge any offer against the exact model’s current price, configuration, and recent street price, not an expired deal roundup.
Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026. Prices and availability can change quickly, so verify the final cart price, seller, condition, and return terms before buying. The prices below are U.S. starting-price benchmarks before tax, not live retailer offers.
Are there verified early Black Friday Mac deals right now?
Not in the available August 16 snapshot. Historical deal articles and retailer search pages do not confirm a current discount on a specific Mac configuration. Best Buy’s search results use “Black Friday” merchandising language, including “Black Friday in July,” but that wording alone does not establish a November 2026 event or a live Mac price. Check Best Buy’s Mac listings directly when you’re ready to buy.

An expired offer, a discount based on an obsolete list price, a trade-in credit, or a gift card is not the same as an immediate cash saving.

Current Apple Mac prices to use as a benchmark
Apple’s U.S. store lists these starting prices: MacBook Neo $699, MacBook Air $1,299, MacBook Pro $1,999, Mac mini $799, iMac $1,499, and Mac Studio $2,499. These are entry prices; a deal on a larger screen or upgraded memory and storage may be a different configuration and should be compared like-for-like.
Comparisons with old deal coverage need special care. MacRumors reported Apple price increases in June 2026, including the MacBook Air rising from $1,099 to $1,299 and the iMac from $1,299 to $1,499. It also reported increases for some Mac mini and Mac Studio configurations. See its price-change report. A retailer’s discount against a previous price—or a deal article’s “was” price—can therefore make the saving look larger than it is against the model’s recent street price.

MacBook Neo: lowest entry price, not automatically best value
The Neo starts at $699 in Apple’s U.S. store. It may suit students and basic everyday use, but compare its exact memory, storage, display, ports, and performance with a discounted MacBook Air before choosing on price alone. A sale on an Air can be better value if you need more capability or expect to keep the laptop for years. Apple’s current Mac lineup is the place to confirm available models and configurations.
MacBook Air: the best place for most shoppers to start
Apple lists the Air from $1,299. It is the likely fit for general-purpose laptop buyers, including many students, office users, and travelers. Choose between the 13-inch model for portability and the 15-inch model for more screen workspace. Check whether the offer is for the base storage tier or 512GB, and whether it includes 16GB or 24GB of memory. Memory and internal storage are not generally user-upgradable after purchase, so pay for the capacity you will actually need.
A previous-generation Air can still be a sound buy, but only if its exact configuration and price make sense beside the current model. Apple’s lineup includes the M5 MacBook Air, according to current buying coverage from Tom’s Guide. Don’t assume an older model is a bargain just because its discount percentage is large: compare its memory, battery, display, connectivity, and price with the newer machine.

- BUILT FOR COLLEGE. AND BEYOND — MacBook Air with the M5 chip packs blazing speed and powerful AI capabilities into an incredibly portable design. And with up to 18 hours of battery life,* this thin and light powerhouse is ready to take on almost any major, just about anywhere.
- TEAR THROUGH TOUGH ASSIGNMENTS — With its faster CPU and unified memory, the M5 chip delivers even more performance and fluidity across apps, making multitasking and creative workflows smooth and responsive. A powerful Neural Engine and next-generation GPU with Neural Accelerators give you a powerful platform for AI.
- MAKE QUICK WORK OF YOUR TO-DO LIST — Apple Intelligence helps you write, express yourself, and get things done effortlessly — whether it’s for school or everyday life. With groundbreaking privacy protections, it gives you peace of mind that no one else can access your data — not even Apple.*
- UP TO 18 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE — MacBook Air delivers incredible battery life with amazing performance, so you can power through a full day of classes without worrying about plugging in.
- A BRILLIANT 13.6-INCH DISPLAY* — The gorgeous Liquid Retina display on MacBook Air supports 1 billion colors, making photos and videos pop with rich contrast and sharp detail, and text appears supercrisp. So everything — from class presentations to movies to games — looks truly stunning.
MacBook Pro: buy for a workload, not a headline discount
The MacBook Pro starts at $1,999. It can make sense for demanding work such as sustained video editing, development, music production, or other tasks that benefit from higher performance, more ports, or greater memory capacity. Compare 14-inch and 16-inch models and record the chip tier, memory, and storage—not simply “MacBook Pro.” A large dollar saving on an expensive Pro or Max configuration can still leave you paying for capability you do not need. For ordinary school, web, and office work, a suitably configured Air may be the more sensible spend.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Mac mini: strong desktop value if you already own the essentials
Apple lists Mac mini from $799. It can offer a cost-effective desktop setup if you already have a suitable monitor, keyboard, mouse, and webcam. Add those costs—and any hub or external storage you need—before comparing the total with an iMac or MacBook Air. Compare the base chip with Pro configurations according to your workload. Apple’s current store lists the Mac mini; refurbished or prior-generation stock may also be worth checking if its condition and warranty are clear.
iMac: an all-in-one for buyers who value simplicity
The iMac starts at $1,499 and combines a computer and display with included accessories. It suits a home office or family setup where an integrated desktop is more useful than choosing separate components. A Mac mini plus a monitor may offer more choice, but its full system cost depends on the display and peripherals you select. The iMac has less flexibility for replacing or reusing components, so look for a discount large enough to justify its convenience and fixed all-in-one design.

- SUPERCHARGED BY M5 — The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 brings next-generation speed and powerful on-device AI to personal, professional, and creative tasks. Featuring all-day battery life and a breathtaking Liquid Retina XDR display with up to 1600 nits peak brightness, it’s pro in every way.*
- HAPPILY EVER FASTER — Along with its faster CPU and unified memory, M5 features a more powerful GPU with a Neural Accelerator built into each core, delivering faster AI performance. So you can blaze through demanding workloads at mind-bending speeds.
- BUILT FOR APPLE INTELLIGENCE — Apple Intelligence is the personal intelligence system that helps you write, express yourself, and get things done effortlessly. With groundbreaking privacy protections, it gives you peace of mind that no one else can access your data — not even Apple.*
- ALL-DAY BATTERY LIFE — MacBook Pro delivers the same exceptional performance whether it’s running on battery or plugged in.
- APPS FLY WITH APPLE SILICON — All your favorites, including Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud, run lightning fast in macOS.*
Mac Studio: only for buyers who need workstation-class capability
At $2,499 to start, Mac Studio is not a sensible impulse buy for most shoppers. Consider it only when your professional workload calls for its performance and a specific deal is confirmed. MacRumors reported a particularly large June 2026 increase on one M3 Ultra configuration, from $3,999 to $5,299; that is a reported price change, not evidence of a current discount. Verify the exact configuration and live Apple price before making comparisons.
Useful historical deal benchmarks—not 2026 offers
In November 2025, MacRumors reported examples including a 13-inch M4 MacBook Air with 256GB storage for $749.99, a 13-inch M4 Air with 16GB memory and 512GB storage for $949.99, and a 15-inch M4 Air with 256GB for $949.99. The same roundup listed a 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro with 16GB memory and 512GB storage for $1,446, and M4 Mac mini offers at $499 for 256GB or $889 for a 24GB/512GB configuration. See the dated 2025 roundup.
Those prices help illustrate the sort of discounts that have appeared, but they are not available 2026 deals and do not predict this year’s prices. Use them as historical context only, then check current prices for the exact configuration.

Buy now or wait for Black Friday?
| Your situation | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| You find a new unit at or near a verified low for the exact configuration. | Buy if it meets your needs and the seller, warranty, and return terms check out. |
| The discount is only about 5–8%, and you can wait until late November. | Usually wait and track the price; a modest discount several months ahead is not compelling on its own. |
| You need a laptop for school or work now. | Buy a good-value configuration now rather than relying on a future sale. Favor a clear return policy. |
| An older Mac is discounted, but the newer model offers materially better features you need. | Compare the full configurations and recent prices. Do not buy based only on the percentage off. |
| The offer is refurbished or open-box. | Consider it only when condition, warranty, seller, and return policy are stated clearly; compare it separately from new stock. |
| A retailer still has older inventory after Apple raised its prices. | Confirm it is new and sealed and covered by the expected warranty. Compare with the model’s recent street price as well as today’s Apple price. |
| You are considering a high-end Mac Studio or Max configuration. | Wait unless the discount is unusually strong and your workload actually requires that tier. |
There is no reliable basis here to promise that prices will fall further on November 27. If you buy well before Black Friday, check the retailer’s current price-adjustment policy yourself; policies vary and should not be assumed to cover every Mac or sale.
Student pricing and refurbished Macs
Students and eligible education buyers should compare Apple’s U.S. education store with ordinary retailer prices. Apple currently advertises an education offer involving a gift card on eligible Mac or iPad purchases, but eligibility, terms, and timing matter. A gift card is not the same as money off the checkout price, and a retailer’s direct discount may be more valuable. Do not assume the promotion will last until Black Friday or apply to every shopper.
Apple’s Certified Refurbished Mac store is another option for buyers who want Apple-backed refurbished inventory. Stock and configurations vary. Compare the price and included warranty with a new equivalent, and do not confuse Apple-refurbished products with third-party refurbished or open-box listings.
How to check whether a Mac deal is real
- Match the configuration. Record screen size, chip and core configuration where listed, memory, storage, and condition. Product-family names alone are not enough.
- Compare the right prices. Check Apple’s current price, the retailer’s previous price, and recent prices for that exact configuration. A markdown from an outdated MSRP is not necessarily a strong deal.
- Calculate the real checkout cost. Separate an immediate discount from gift cards, trade-in credit, coupons, and rewards. If membership is required, include its cost if you would join only for this purchase.
- Check who is selling it. On marketplaces, verify whether the retailer itself or a third party is the seller and who handles fulfillment and returns.
- Confirm condition, warranty, and returns. Distinguish new, refurbished, and open-box inventory. Read the actual return terms, including any category-specific restrictions.
- Recheck at checkout. Confirm the coupon is applied, the intended memory and storage are selected, and the final pre-tax price and stock status have not changed.
For general use, prioritize adequate memory and storage over cosmetic upgrades. For professional work, check software requirements, sustained performance needs, ports, external-display support, and memory capacity. A cheaper Mac is not a good deal if it cannot handle the work you bought it for.
