Deal status: The Sonos Era 300 was discounted to $379 from its regular $479 price for Cyber Monday 2025, a savings of $100, or about 20.9%. The offer was reported on December 1, 2025, but it is not a current promotion: Sonos’s U.S. product page listed the Era 300 at $479 as of August 18, 2026. Treat the $379 price as a historical deal and check the official Sonos page for any new discount.

| Cyber Monday price | $379 |

Engadget reported the $379 price, and MacRumors independently listed the same discount. The coverage referenced Sonos and other retailers, but retailer inventory, colors, shipping regions, and return policies could vary. Neither source establishes that $379 was the Era 300’s all-time lowest price, so it should not be called a record low.
No coupon code was identified in the cited coverage. The exact availability window and stock limits may also have varied. A $379 open-box, refurbished, or used listing should not be confused with a new speaker sold at the historical retail-sale price.

The Era 300 is a premium, mains-powered smart speaker designed around spatial audio rather than ordinary two-channel playback. Sonos equips it with six Class-D amplifiers, four tweeters, and two woofers. Its drivers direct sound forward, sideways, and upward to create a broader presentation and support Dolby Atmos Music.
#1 Best Overall
- Feel sound like never before with a pair of breakthrough speakers designed from the inside out for a next-level spatial audio experience.
- Fill two rooms of your home with Dolby Atmos Music, or pair these speakers together in the same room for an all-encompassing soundstage.
- Bring every scene and song to life when you use them as rear satellite speakers with your Sonos Arc Ultra, Arc, or Beam (Gen 2) soundbar.
- Get set up in minutes with help from the Sonos app, then stream all your favorite audio content with WiFi and Bluetooth.
- Enjoy hands-free control of your listening and more with Sonos Voice Control and Amazon Alexa.
That does not mean every song will sound dramatically different. The spatial-audio benefit depends on having compatible Dolby Atmos content from a supported source, as well as suitable room placement. The upward-firing driver also relies on the room and ceiling to reflect sound effectively. Standard stereo music remains available, but buyers who do not plan to listen to Atmos content may get better value from less expensive stereo speakers.
The Era 300 can work by itself, join a Sonos multiroom system, or be paired with a second Era 300 for stereo playback. Sonos also says two Era 300 speakers can be used as surrounds with an Arc or Beam (Gen 2). A single Era 300 is not a replacement for a soundbar when the main goal is better television audio: a soundbar provides the front-channel and TV-connection role that this standalone speaker does not.
Rank #2
- Featuring six optimally positioned drivers all around the front, sides, and top to support Dolby Atmos Music, the breakthrough acoustic design projects sound from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, immersing you in every dimension of the song.
- No matter where you are or what you play, the listening experience is nothing short of extraordinary. Custom waveguides disperse sound right, left, forward, and above, creating a sensationally spacious stereo soundstage you can enjoy all around the room.
- Stream from all your favorite services over WiFi. Pair a Bluetooth device with the press of a button. Connect a turntable or other audio source using an auxiliary cable and the Sonos Line-In Adapter.
- Experience mind-bending multichannel surround sound when you pair two speakers with Sonos Arc or Beam (Gen 2). Supercharged by Dolby Atmos, the lateral and overhead channels in each product create an all-encompassing soundstage to envelop you in the story.
- Enjoy free music, original content, and thousands of live stations on Sonos Radio. Play music with hands-free ease and unmatched privacy using Sonos Voice Control. Plus, access new features and services with regular software updates.
Connectivity and setup costs
- Wi-Fi: Supports networked Sonos playback and multiroom audio; Sonos lists Wi-Fi 6 support.
- Bluetooth: Includes Bluetooth 5.3 for compatible direct playback.
- AirPlay 2: Supports Apple AirPlay 2.
- Voice control: Works with Sonos Voice Control and Amazon Alexa, subject to language and country availability.
- Trueplay: Sonos says Trueplay can analyze room acoustics and tune the speaker using compatible iOS and Android devices.
- Wired audio: Analog line-in requires the separately sold Sonos Line-In Adapter, listed by Sonos at $19. The speaker does not provide a built-in 3.5mm input.
For full setup and Sonos functionality, buyers need the Sonos app and an internet connection. Bluetooth can be useful for direct playback, but it does not turn the Era 300 into a battery speaker. The unit requires a nearby electrical outlet.

Size, placement, and portability
The Era 300 measures 7.28 × 10.24 × 6.30 inches and weighs 9.85 pounds. It is compact enough for a sturdy shelf or media console, but it is not especially small or easy to move repeatedly. Leave room for its directional drivers, avoid cramped placement, and consider how the speaker will interact with the ceiling and surrounding walls.
Rank #3
- Feel sound like never before with a pair of breakthrough speakers designed from the inside out for a next-level spatial audio experience.
- Fill two rooms of your home with Dolby Atmos Music, or pair these speakers together in the same room for an all-encompassing soundstage.
- Bring every scene and song to life when you use them as rear satellite speakers with your Sonos Arc Ultra, Arc, or Beam (Gen 2) soundbar.
- Get set up in minutes with help from the Sonos app, then stream all your favorite audio content with WiFi and Bluetooth.

It is a wireless-network speaker, not a portable wireless speaker. There is no battery for outdoor use, and it should not be treated as a substitute for a travel or patio model.
Who should have bought it at $379
- Existing Sonos owners: The Era 300 made more sense for people already invested in Sonos and likely to expand the system.
- Dolby Atmos Music listeners: The discount lowered the cost of accessing the Era 300’s defining feature.
- Home-theater builders: It could serve as a standalone music speaker first and later become part of a surround setup with a compatible Arc or Beam (Gen 2).
- Room-filling music listeners: Buyers prioritizing a broad presentation over portability or the lowest possible price could justify the premium.
Who should skip it
- Portable-listening shoppers: The Era 300 needs wall power. The Sonos Move 2 is the more relevant alternative for battery operation.
- Budget-conscious stereo buyers: The Era 100 is smaller and less expensive, making it a better fit for ordinary stereo listening and smaller rooms.
- TV-first shoppers: Start with a Sonos soundbar such as the Arc Ultra or Beam when television audio is the primary need.
- Analog-source owners: Add the $19 Line-In Adapter to the budget if connecting a turntable or another wired source.
- Non-Atmos listeners: If compatible spatial-audio content is not part of your listening habits, the Era 300’s premium may be difficult to justify.
- Shoppers avoiding ecosystems: The speaker’s strongest advantages are tied to Sonos’s app and multiroom platform.
Era 300 vs. Era 100
Sonos listed the Era 100 at $219 on its standard product page, compared with $479 for the Era 300. Historical Cyber Monday coverage reported the Era 100 at $169. The Era 100 is the more sensible choice for basic stereo listening, smaller rooms, and a lower-cost entry into Sonos.
Rank #4
- Featuring six optimally positioned drivers all around the front, sides, and top to support Dolby Atmos Music, the breakthrough acoustic design projects sound from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, immersing you in every dimension of the song.

The Era 300 is the choice when Dolby Atmos Music, a larger presentation, and future surround use matter. Two Era 100 speakers may offer attractive stereo separation and price efficiency, but they are not automatically better: they do not provide the Era 300’s spatial-audio design, and the right choice depends on whether the buyer values conventional stereo or Atmos playback.
Era 300 vs. Move 2
The Move 2 addresses a different problem. Sonos listed it at $499, while Cyber Monday coverage reported a historical sale price of $399. Its battery and portability make it better for moving around the home or using it outdoors where appropriate. The Era 300 is the stronger fit for a permanently powered indoor listening position and spatial-audio music.

Other Sonos Cyber Monday 2025 prices
For context, Engadget’s historical coverage also reported these prices during the same sale:
- Era 100: $169
- Move 2: $399
- Sonos Ace: $279
- Arc Ultra: $879
- Sub 4: $719
- Arc Ultra/Sub 4 bundle: $1,499

Bottom line on the $379 price
The Era 300’s Cyber Monday price was real: $379 was a meaningful $100 reduction from $479. It was a compelling buy for Sonos owners and listeners who specifically wanted Dolby Atmos Music, multiroom integration, or a future surround upgrade. It was not the best deal for everyone. Buyers seeking portability, inexpensive stereo audio, a first TV speaker, or a simple analog connection should account for the Era 300’s power requirement, ecosystem, adapter cost, and content limitations before spending $379—or the current $479 list price.
