The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s Canadian list price starts at $1,678.99 CAD for the 256GB model with 12GB of RAM, before sales tax. The 512GB version is $1,858.99—$180 more. Samsung opened pre-orders on May 12, 2025, and general availability began May 30, 2025, so those are historical launch dates, not an upcoming release.
Canadian price, storage and financing
Samsung Canada lists both storage configurations at the following prices. Its purchase page shows 0% APR financing over 24 months; that is financing for the device, not the cost of a wireless plan.

The monthly amounts are rounded: multiplied by 24, they come to approximately the listed device totals. Taxes and any other applicable charges are extra, so $1,678.99 is not an all-in checkout price. Your tax-inclusive total depends on your province or territory.
The 512GB model costs $180 more. Consider whether you need the extra built-in storage before paying the upgrade; the configurations listed here both have 12GB of RAM. Samsung’s Canadian purchase page includes the S25 Edge among its selectable models.

Where to buy it in Canada
Samsung Canada sells the phone unlocked. Best Buy Canada has also listed an unlocked 256GB model at $1,678.99. Prices, stock, colours and promotions can change, so check the seller’s checkout page before ordering; a past promotion should not be assumed to remain available. The Best Buy listing is one retailer option.
TELUS lists the S25 Edge with Easy Payment and Bring-It-Back options. Carrier offers are not directly comparable to an unlocked price: the total may depend on your plan, financing term, taxes, fees, trade-in eligibility and whether you must return the phone or pay a remaining amount at the end. Check the full device obligation and plan cost, rather than comparing only a monthly payment. TELUS’s product page describes its purchase options; no reliable current carrier device price is available here to quote.

What the premium buys
The S25 Edge is built around a distinctive design: it is 5.8mm thick and weighs 163g, while still fitting a 6.7-inch, 3,120 × 1,440 Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. Samsung calls it the thinnest Galaxy S-series phone. A titanium frame, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back and an IP68 rating round out the materials and protection specifications; none makes a glass phone immune to damage.

In other words, the Edge is not a small-screen phone. It keeps a large flagship display and aims to make that kind of phone slimmer and lighter to carry. Its core specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, 12GB RAM, 256GB or 512GB storage, and Android 15 with One UI 7.0 at launch. The trade-offs: battery, charging and zoom
The design has practical costs. The phone has a 3,900mAh battery and supports 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. The S25+ and S25 Ultra have larger batteries, and higher-capacity models in the lineup support faster wired charging. A thinner, lighter phone may be easier to carry, but it leaves less room for battery hardware. Heavy gaming, navigation, camera use, bright-screen use or extended 5G use can make battery capacity more consequential. Actual endurance varies with settings, network conditions and workload; treat any all-day claim as usage-dependent rather than a guarantee.
Samsung’s rear camera setup pairs a 200MP wide camera with a 12MP ultrawide. There is no dedicated telephoto camera. The high-resolution main sensor can capture detailed images, but cropping or digital zoom is not the same as a separate optical zoom lens. Megapixels alone do not determine image quality, which also depends on optics, stabilization, processing and lighting. A Canadian review found the main camera capable but noted less flexibility without dedicated zoom hardware; its battery observations reflect that reviewer’s use, not a result every owner should expect. The front camera is 12MP. The phone includes a Nano-SIM slot and eSIM support, though carrier and regional support can vary. Samsung lists a data cable and SIM-ejection pin in the box, but no travel adapter, so check whether you already own a compatible charger.

The S25+ is the most practical comparison for many shoppers: both phones target buyers who want a large screen, but the Edge prioritizes thinness while the Plus is the more conventional choice if battery matters more. The Ultra makes more sense if you will use its broader camera system or S Pen. Current prices for those alternatives can vary, so compare Canadian checkout totals rather than relying on old launch prices or prices from another country.
How to judge the real cost
- Compare like for like: Check the same storage tier and whether each price is before tax, discounted, refurbished or conditional on a trade-in.
- Read carrier terms: Add the required plan, fees and any end-of-term return or buyout obligation. A low monthly device payment alone does not show the full cost.
- Check the exact colour and stock: Colour availability may vary by seller or carrier. Confirm it on the Canadian listing you intend to use.
- Include accessories only if needed: No travel adapter is listed in the box. If you need one, include its cost in your budget.
- Check protection overlap: Samsung offers Care+ information through its purchase page, but compare its current Canadian terms and cost with any coverage you already have before adding it.
At full list price, the Edge is easiest to justify if its unusually slim, light build is a priority in itself. If you mainly want a capable 6.7-inch Samsung and prefer more battery headroom, compare the S25+ first. If zoom and maximum hardware flexibility matter, consider the Ultra. A verified discount or trade-in can change the value calculation, but should not be mistaken for the standard price.
