Samsung US still sells the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra, but these are no longer new-generation phones: Samsung is also promoting newer Galaxy models. Its current offers advertise up to $500+ in instant trade-in credit for the S25 and S25+, and up to $520+ for the S25 Ultra. Those are maximum conditional credits, not automatic discounts; your actual price depends on your device and the exact configuration in stock.

Some configurations may have a price reduction even without trading in a phone. For example, Samsung’s Titanium Whitesilver S25 Ultra page showed 256GB at $999.99, 512GB at $1,119.99 and 1TB at $1,359.99, each $300 below the representative price above. That page also showed the configuration as out of stock, so those figures are not a universal price or an assurance that the device can be ordered. Check the specific color and storage selection at the listed Whitesilver product page.

What “up to” means for your final price
A Galaxy S25 listed from $799.99 does not automatically cost $299.99. That arithmetic assumes a $500 credit, but Samsung advertises that amount as a maximum for eligible trade-ins, not a standard credit. The estimate depends on the old phone’s model and storage, condition, ownership and eligibility under the current offer. Samsung can change eligible devices and values, and its terms say promotions generally do not combine with other Samsung, carrier or retailer offers unless the terms specifically allow it.
Compare the final checkout total, not just the headline credit. A direct markdown reduces the phone’s price without surrendering your old device; a trade-in credit requires you to send in an eligible phone. If your device could sell privately for more, or you want to keep it, the trade-in may not be the better financial choice.

How Samsung’s trade-in process works
- Choose the S25 model and storage configuration on Samsung’s US store.
- Select Yes, trade-in during checkout and identify the old device to see the estimated credit.
- Review the purchase total with that estimate applied. It is not final until Samsung receives and evaluates the trade-in.
- Back up the old phone, factory-reset it, remove personal accounts and screen locks, and disable any device-management lock before sending it.
- Use Samsung’s supplied return process to send the device within 15 days of receiving the new purchase.
- Keep the shipment and evaluation records until Samsung confirms the trade-in credit.
Samsung’s cited terms generally require the device to power on, hold a charge and have a functioning display, while meeting its physical-condition rules. Cracks, liquid damage, blacklisting, software locks or other disqualifying defects may lead to rejection or a reduced value. Leased devices are not eligible under those terms, and the offer is limited to one trade-in per qualifying purchase. If you do not return the device on time, Samsung may charge back the applied credit; if it fails eligibility requirements, Samsung says it may charge back the credit minus $25. Galaxy S25: the lower-cost compact option
The S25 is the fit for someone prioritizing a smaller phone and lower starting price rather than the Ultra’s S Pen or camera system. Samsung lists a 6.2-inch-class design, 4,000mAh battery, 12GB memory, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, 50MP main camera, 12MP front camera, IP68 water resistance and Armor Aluminum frame. Storage varies by configuration, with 128GB and 256GB options shown. Samsung claims up to 29 hours of video playback; that figure is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee of your real-world battery life. Specifications are on Samsung’s S25 product page.
Galaxy S25+: a larger screen and battery without Ultra pricing
The S25+ is the middle choice for shoppers who want more screen and battery capacity but do not need the Ultra’s S Pen or camera setup. It has a 4,900mAh battery, 12GB memory, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy and a 50MP main camera; Samsung lists 256GB and 512GB storage. The company claims up to 30 hours of video playback. Galaxy S25 Ultra: for the S Pen and top-tier camera hardware
Choose the Ultra if its integrated S Pen, largest display, camera hardware or higher storage options are worth the additional cost to you. Samsung lists 256GB, 512GB and 1TB configurations; the representative unlocked 256GB price is $1,299.99 before eligible discounts. The cited product page says a charger is not included, so factor in a compatible charger if you do not already own one. Review the exact selection at Samsung’s 256GB Ultra page.

Is buying the S25 a better deal than buying a newer Galaxy?
Not necessarily. Samsung’s US store also promotes the newer Galaxy S26 family and other 2026 devices. The S25 may be the better bargain if its final price is substantially lower and its features meet your needs, but a discount alone does not establish better long-term value. Compare the actual checkout price for equivalent storage, the value of any phone you must trade in, and the current-generation processor, camera improvements and software-support runway. The cited S25 offer information does not establish a like-for-like S26 price comparison, so check both configurations and terms directly before deciding.
Samsung direct is one route for an unlocked purchase and its own trade-in process. A carrier offer may suit someone already planning to stay with that carrier, especially if eligible for a new-line or switcher promotion. But bill credits spread across 24 or 36 months are not equivalent to an immediate Samsung discount: consider the commitment and what happens if you leave early before comparing totals.

Financing, programs and extra offers
Samsung’s cited 256GB Ultra page displayed a 24-month financing example of $54.17 per month on a $1,299.99 price before applicable promotions. A monthly amount spreads the cost; it is not itself a discount. Check the total price, taxes, shipping, credit approval and financing terms at checkout.
The same Ultra page displayed Samsung Care+ at $10 per month or $199 for two years, and Care+ with Theft and Loss at $15 per month or $279 for two years. These are optional protection plans, not part of the phone price; coverage, deductibles and availability can vary. Review current details at Samsung Care+.
Samsung’s offer page also lists New Galaxy Club at $6.20 per month for the S25 and $8.33 per month for the S25+ or Ultra, subject to program terms. Treat this as a recurring program, not a one-time saving. The cited terms exclude some purchases, including Verizon-locked and carrier-financed models, and standard trade-in values may not apply when choosing the program. Samsung also lists six months of SiriusXM, two months of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, 50% off LumaFusion and 30% off ArcSite. These are conditional service promotions, not reductions to the phone’s purchase price; their value depends on whether you would use each service and on its redemption and renewal terms. Check these details before placing an order
- Configuration and stock: Confirm color, storage, carrier status and the price after selection. An attractive price can be limited to one configuration, and a page may show an out-of-stock message.
- Delivery or pickup: Availability can vary by selected ZIP code. Do not assume an item is ready for pickup or has a particular delivery date until Samsung shows that for your configuration and location.
- Trade-in eligibility: Verify the exact old-phone model, condition and ownership status against the current offer. Save the estimate and terms shown at checkout.
- Promotion stacking: Do not assume a trade-in, markdown, carrier offer or New Galaxy Club benefit can be combined. Confirm the terms for the selected purchase.
- Full cost: Account for tax, shipping, financing terms, optional Care+ and any charger needed for the Ultra.
