Amazon reportedly cut selected Sony PS5 DualSense Wireless Controllers to $54.99 on November 24, 2025, versus a reported regular price of $74.99. That was about $20 off, or 26.7%, but the offer was time-limited and did not apply to every color. Treat the $54.99 price as historical unless the retailer listing shows the same price at checkout today.

The original report does not establish which colors qualified, how long the price lasted, whether Amazon itself sold and shipped every discounted unit, or whether the offer required Prime. It also does not prove that this was the lowest price of the 2025 holiday season. Taxes, shipping, regional availability and stock could change the final amount.

The headline rounded $54.99 to $55. If an old deal page still displays that figure, confirm the live product page and the final checkout total rather than relying on the headline.

Which controller is included?
This was the regular Sony DualSense Wireless Controller, not the premium DualSense Edge. The standard model is the official PS5 gamepad and includes:
- Haptic feedback
- Adaptive triggers
- Built-in microphone
- Touchpad and motion sensor
- Built-in rechargeable battery
- USB-C charging and wired play

Keeping a charged spare is useful when a primary controller has stick drift, worn buttons or a deteriorating battery. The available sources do not establish battery-life measurements or failure rates, so the discount should not be treated as evidence of improved durability.
PC, Mac and mobile players
Sony lists DualSense compatibility with PS5, Windows PC, Mac and mobile devices. Basic input support is broader than support for the controller’s signature effects. On PC, haptics and adaptive triggers work only in select supported games; Sony says USB may be required for haptics and may be required for adaptive triggers in some games. How to judge the deal before paying
- Open the live listing. Do not assume an article’s old $54.99 price is still active.
- Select the exact color and model. The reported price applied only to selected colors, and the listing should say standard DualSense Wireless Controller rather than DualSense Edge.
- Check condition and seller. Confirm that the unit is new if that is what you want, and review whether Amazon or a third-party seller handles the sale and fulfillment.
- Review checkout. Check shipping, tax, membership requirements, delivery date and the final total for your region.
- Read returns. Make sure the return policy is acceptable before ordering, particularly when a marketplace seller is involved.
Is $54.99 a good price?
Against the reported $74.99 comparison price, $54.99 was a substantial discount for an official controller. Even the reported $59.99 variants represented roughly 20% off that comparison price. That makes the deal attractive for someone who needs a second or replacement controller now.

It is less compelling for an owner whose current controller works and who wants only a particular color. Waiting for a newly verified sale or comparing a bundle that includes a charging station may produce better total value. A charging station is most useful in a two-controller household; it is unnecessary if you already have a suitable USB-C cable and charge through the console.
