Short answer: You should not generate or publish a song that imitates Pokimane’s identifiable voice unless you have her clear permission and have checked the music rights separately. A voice-cloned cover can replace the singer while keeping the original song, but consent to imitate a person and permission to use the composition are separate questions. Treat an unapproved Pokimane voice clone as a private experiment at most, and do not upload, monetize, or present it as authentic.
Why A Pokimane Voice Song Has Two Rights Problems
The Voice And Identity
Cloning a recognizable person’s voice can suggest that the person performed, endorsed, or approved the recording. TwoShot’s own guidance says that impersonating a specific real artist’s voice creates likeness issues and recommends describing a style instead of naming a celebrity unless you have permission. That principle applies when the target is a public online personality as well as a recording artist. A disclaimer saying “AI” does not create consent.
The Song And Composition
A cover keeps the underlying song while replacing the singer. If you did not write that song, it remains someone else’s composition. Publishing or monetizing the result requires the appropriate licence for the copyrighted track, even if the vocal was generated by AI. The voice question and the composition question therefore need separate answers before release.

For a project that is meant to sound like Pokimane, obtain written permission that identifies the person, the exact voice use, the songs or recordings involved, where the result may appear, whether advertising or monetization is allowed, and how the AI use will be disclosed. Keep the permission with the project files. If an agency, label, or other rights holder is involved, confirm that the signer can grant the permission you need.

Do not treat a clip found on a livestream, podcast, video, or social post as permission to clone the voice. A publicly available recording can be input material while still being unauthorized for voice imitation. If you cannot establish consent, change the creative brief to a non-identifying vocal description.
Safer Creative Direction For The Same Musical Idea
You can request musical traits without naming Pokimane: for example, “bright conversational pop vocal, quick streamer-style diction, playful ad-libs, clean modern chorus, and clear English lyrics.” This describes an arrangement and performance direction without asking the model to reproduce a particular person. Avoid prompts that include her name, a direct “sound exactly like” instruction, or a request to copy a recognizable catchphrase.

For an original song, write new lyrics and a new melody, then use a clearly fictional or authorized voice. For a cover, identify the song and secure the composition licence before public release. Keep the two decisions documented: whose voice is being used, and who owns or licenses the song.
A Practical Workflow For An Authorized Project
- Define the use. Decide whether the recording is private, a fan-made post, a commercial release, an advertisement, or a platform upload. Write the intended audience and distribution channels down.
- Confirm voice consent. Get written authorization for the specific person, voice model, recordings, territory, duration, and permitted uses. If the authorization does not cover commercial use, do not assume it does.
- Clear the composition. If the track is a cover, obtain the licence needed to publish or monetize that copyrighted song. A voice authorization does not replace this step.
- Prepare clean source material. Use recordings you are allowed to process. Remove unrelated speakers and private material, and retain a note describing the source and permission.
- Generate a restrained first version. Preserve the musical intent—melody, timing, phrasing, and lyrics—while avoiding extra vocal mannerisms that could imply an endorsement beyond the written permission.
- Review the output. Check pronunciation, lyric accuracy, unwanted artifacts, and whether the vocal is more identifiable than the authorization permits. Do not publish a version that adds an unauthorized impersonation.
- Label the result. State that the vocal is AI-generated and identify the authorized arrangement where your release channel supports credits or disclosures.
- Keep records. Save the permission, composition licence, prompts, source files, generated version, and final disclosure together.

Its stated use is to preserve a song’s melody, timing, phrasing, and lyrics while revoicing the vocal, which matches the technical shape of an AI cover. The service lists a free plan and a Pro plan at $9.50 per month with 1,500 credits. TwoShot says commercial rights apply to paid-plan outputs. That commercial-rights statement does not grant permission to imitate Pokimane, and it does not clear the composition in a cover. New accounts receive credits on signup; the vendor says results have no stamped watermark and no one-download-a-day cap. Check the current vendor terms before relying on any of those details for a release.

Spotify announced on September 25, 2025 that vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it. It also described a music-spam filter, support for DDEX AI disclosures in credits, and removal of more than 75 million spammy tracks during the prior 12 months. On August 11, 2026, Spotify announced an “AI Persona” badge for artist identities that may be AI-generated. These announcements make transparent labeling and documented authorization especially practical for a release intended for Spotify. When To Stop
Stop the project if you cannot verify consent, cannot identify the composition licence, or cannot explain the AI vocal plainly to listeners. A convincing result is not evidence of authorization. The defensible creative alternative is an original song with a fictional voice and a style-based prompt.
