Quick verdict: The India-launched OPPO F25 Pro 5G made a persuasive first impression as a slim, light mid-range phone with a 120Hz AMOLED display, IP65 dust and water-jet resistance, 67W charging, expandable storage and 4K video recording from both cameras. Its Dimensity 7050 is better suited to everyday use than demanding gaming, and the cameras lack optical image stabilization (OIS). At launch, its ₹23,999 starting price was most appealing to buyers who valued design, the screen and selfie/video features; in 2026, it only makes financial sense if a legitimate seller has verified stock at a suitably reduced price.
This is a first-impressions assessment of a phone introduced in India in February 2024—not a long-term review or a claim about current stock. OPPO’s India storefront now emphasizes newer product families, and no current F25 Pro price or live inventory was verified. Check OPPO India’s current lineup before comparing a listing with the historical launch price.
Launch price and what it was offering
The F25 Pro 5G launched in India at ₹23,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and ₹25,999 for 8GB and 256GB. Sales were announced to begin on March 5, 2024, through OPPO India, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retailers. Launch promotions reportedly included bank cashback, no-cost EMI and a limited period of screen-damage protection; those were historical offers, not benefits to assume are available today. The phone’s pitch was a collection of everyday features rather than top-of-class processing power: a slim body, AMOLED screen, high refresh rate, IP rating, fast charging and unusually prominent front-camera video specifications for its price band. If the two launch configurations were still separated by ₹2,000, the 256GB model offered a useful storage buffer for large videos and apps. That does not make the old launch price a sensible 2026 benchmark: stock, condition, warranty and the price of newer alternatives matter more than the original sticker price.

Design: slim and light, with a useful but limited IP rating
At 7.54mm thick and 177g, the F25 Pro was designed to feel slender and easy to carry. It came in Ocean Blue and Lava Red. The Lava Red finish used OPPO’s Glow-style treatment, shifting in appearance between red and burgundy. Flat sides, rounded corners and slim display borders give it a contemporary look, while the camera housing is visually prominent.
The body uses polycarbonate with glass-fiber reinforcement rather than an all-glass construction. OPPO described the display cover as doubly reinforced Panda Glass. These materials and the light weight support the phone’s practical, easy-handling appeal, but they should not be confused with a guarantee against cracks or scratches.
Its IP65 rating indicates dust protection and resistance to water jets under specified test conditions; it does not mean the phone is waterproof or safe to submerge. Avoid deliberate immersion, and remember that water resistance can diminish with wear or damage. OPPO’s launch announcement lists the design and IP65 claims.
Display: one of the clearest strengths
The 6.7-inch AMOLED panel has a 1080 × 2412 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. That combination should make scrolling and supported animations feel smoother than on a standard 60Hz screen, while AMOLED’s contrast and color make video and photos look vivid. OPPO claimed up to 1,100 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ support, with an approximately 93.4% screen-to-body ratio.
Peak brightness is not a promise of sustained brightness across the whole screen in every condition. Likewise, an HDR10+ specification does not guarantee the same HDR playback in every streaming app, service or regional software configuration. Treat the display as a strong hardware feature, but check the specific retail unit and services you use if HDR playback is a deciding factor.

Everyday speed, not a gaming-first proposition
The F25 Pro pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also supports microSD expansion. OPPO offered up to 8GB of virtual RAM and said its Trinity Engine could keep as many as 28 apps in the background. Virtual RAM borrows storage; it is not equivalent to additional physical memory, and the background-app figure is a company claim rather than an independent performance measurement.
The available hands-on account described the phone as smooth and responsive for ordinary use. That is encouraging for app launches, social feeds, video, messaging and navigation, but it does not establish sustained gaming performance. No benchmark results, thermal measurements, frame-rate logs or controlled battery-drain figures were supplied. If long gaming sessions or the highest graphics settings are central to your purchase, do not treat this phone as a gaming powerhouse on the basis of general responsiveness.
Cameras: flexible capture, with stabilization caveats
The rear camera setup consists of a 64MP primary camera (OmniVision OV64B, f/1.7), an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera with a stated 112-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. There is no OIS on the main camera.
The first-impressions coverage was positive about daylight main-camera images and portraits, and reported pleasing results in some low-light scenes. Those are brief hands-on impressions, not controlled comparisons or a guarantee of consistent night results. The ultra-wide camera is useful for fitting groups or scenery into a frame, but its lower resolution means you should not assume it matches the main camera in detail or dim conditions. The 2MP macro lens adds a close-up mode, not a compelling reason by itself to buy a three-camera phone. Portrait and beauty processing can suit social sharing, though results may look artificial if effects are set aggressively.
OPPO highlighted 4K recording from both front and rear cameras, a useful capability for users who record themselves as well as scenes. But 4K capture is not the same as stabilized 4K capture. The cited hands-on report says electronic stabilization (EIS) was available for rear 1080p/60fps and front 1080p/30fps, rather than across all 4K modes. OPPO described 4K/30fps as most useful in good light and relatively static conditions. For walking footage, moving subjects or handheld night video, the lack of OIS and the reported EIS limits warrant caution. OPPO’s launch material details its 4K positioning.

Battery, charging and what comes in the box
A 5,000mAh battery and 67W SuperVOOC charging make a convenient combination on paper. The launch-period report said a full charge from empty took roughly 50 minutes and that the retail package included a 67W charger, USB-A-to-USB-C cable, protective case, SIM tool and documentation. Treat the charging time as a reported estimate, not a guaranteed result: temperature, software, cable and charger condition, battery state and phone use can all affect it. The battery capacity and charging rate alone do not establish real-world endurance.
For a 2026 used or old-stock purchase, confirm that the charger and cable are included and in good condition. A generic high-wattage USB charger will not necessarily reproduce OPPO’s proprietary SuperVOOC speed; check compatibility rather than choosing a charger by wattage alone.
Android, ColorOS and the value of the update promise
The phone shipped with Android 14 and ColorOS 14. Features included File Dock for moving text, images and files between apps, and AI Smart Image Matting for separating a subject from its background to make a cutout. As with any Android skin, useful features are only part of the experience: preinstalled apps, notification behavior, privacy controls and feature availability can vary by region and software version.
At launch, OPPO’s stated commitment was three years of Android updates and four years of security updates. That was a launch-period policy, not confirmation of which updates a particular handset has actually received or how long it has left in 2026. Do not infer a final Android version from the promise alone. Before buying an older unit, check its installed software, available updates and remaining support directly with OPPO for the relevant region. The F25 Pro has a single speaker, not stereo speakers, and no 3.5mm headphone jack. Wired listening therefore requires USB-C headphones or a compatible adapter. NFC, 5G, USB-C, LinkBoost connectivity technology and microSD expansion were among the listed features. The SIM and memory-card tray arrangement, supported network bands, NFC availability, charger contents and warranty can depend on the country and specific model; confirm them for the exact unit rather than assuming every regional version is identical. In particular, verify whether two SIMs and a microSD card can be used simultaneously if you need all three.

Who should consider it—and who should look elsewhere?
The F25 Pro is most appealing to a buyer who puts handling and screen quality first, wants a 120Hz AMOLED display, values a high-resolution selfie camera and front-camera 4K recording, appreciates fast charging with a charger in the box, or needs expandable storage. Its IP65 rating adds dust and water-jet resistance, provided the buyer understands its limits.
Look elsewhere if your priorities are sustained high-frame-rate gaming, stabilized handheld video, OIS-assisted night photography, stereo speakers, a headphone jack or a long remaining software-support runway. Those compromises make it a feature-focused phone, not an automatic all-round value winner.
What the F25 Pro is worth in 2026
No verified current F25 Pro retail price, official stock status or authorized seller listing was established for this assessment. OPPO’s current India storefront surfaces newer families, so a marketplace listing should be treated as a listing to investigate—not proof of current official availability. It might be old stock, imported stock, refurbished or sold without an appropriate warranty.
Compare the actual final price with newer phones available to you, and check seller authorization, sealed or refurbished condition, invoice, regional warranty, return terms, included charger and case, battery condition if used, and software-update state. A newer model may cost more but offer a newer platform and more remaining support. For example, OPPO’s F29 Series page is a place to check current official product information; a page-displayed price is not a guaranteed live offer. The A5 Pro 5G is another newer OPPO option, but it has an LCD panel and different performance, charging and camera priorities, so it is not a direct substitute for someone specifically seeking the F25 Pro’s AMOLED screen or front-camera 4K.
