Yes—but the 75% figure referred to a specific long-term NordVPN promotion, not necessarily a universal coupon code. NordVPN’s official pricing page displayed the saving on its two-year Complete plan: $121.23 upfront for 27 months, equivalent to $4.49 per month, before applicable taxes. The listed renewal price was $219.48 per year.
Because April 2026 is now historical, no April coupon should be treated as active without checking the final NordVPN checkout. Prices and offer terms cited below were observed on August 18, 2026.
Quick verdict
- The 75% claim was credible as an official plan-level promotion. It was shown for the two-year Complete plan, not every NordVPN plan.
- No universal April 2026 coupon code is verified. The offer may have been applied through NordVPN’s pricing page or a partner link rather than a manually entered code.
- The headline price was not a monthly bill. The displayed $4.49 monthly figure represented a $121.23 upfront payment covering 27 months.
- Renewal matters. The Complete plan was listed to renew at $219.48 per year, before tax, unless auto-renewal is canceled.

What did the 75% NordVPN deal include?
The official pricing page observed on August 18, 2026 showed the following two-year offers. Each initial term included three extra months, making the first payment cover 27 months:

It should not be read as a guarantee that every customer saves exactly 75% against the total cost of all available billing options.
These are August prices, not proof that the April checkout displayed precisely the same amounts. Promotional prices can vary by country, currency, tax, customer status, account, plan, billing term, and campaign.
Was there an April 2026 75% coupon code?
There is no verified evidence of a single public code that produced exactly 75% off for all NordVPN customers in April 2026. Third-party deal pages reported discounts ranging from 60% to 75%, but those listings conflict and may have referred to different mechanisms:
- a discount automatically applied on NordVPN’s website;
- an affiliate or partner URL;
- a manually entered coupon code;
- cashback paid separately after purchase; or
- a comparison with a standard monthly or renewal price.
Accordingly, codes copied from coupon websites should be treated as unverified until the final NordVPN checkout shows the promised price. The existence of a coupon field does not prove that a particular code is active.
Coupon code versus promotional link
A coupon code is typed into a field during checkout. A promotional or affiliate link can apply a campaign price automatically when you open NordVPN through a particular URL. Cashback is different again: it may return money later without reducing the amount charged at checkout.

This distinction explains why a page can advertise “75% off” even when there is no working code to type. The safest test is the amount shown in NordVPN’s own checkout, not the percentage in a third-party headline.
How to apply and verify a NordVPN coupon
NordVPN’s official instructions describe this process:
- Open the NordVPN pricing page.
- Select the plan and billing term you want.
- Select “Do you have a promo code?”
- Enter the code exactly as provided.
- Select Apply.
Before entering payment details, verify all of the following:
- the plan name and billing term;
- the full upfront total;
- the number of included months;
- any tax or currency conversion;
- the renewal price and frequency; and
- whether the discount was actually deducted.
Save a screenshot of the final checkout summary, particularly when using a partner link or code. NordVPN’s official coupon instructions are the appropriate reference if the field or process differs.
What happens after the introductory term?
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is canceled. On the Complete offer observed on August 18, 2026, the initial charge was $121.23 before tax for 27 months, while the listed renewal price was $219.48 per year before tax.

That renewal charge is why the offer should be evaluated as an introductory promotion rather than a permanent 75% discount. NordVPN says it will notify customers before a price change, but renewal pricing can change and should be checked in the account and checkout terms.
If you do not want renewal, cancel auto-renewal through your Nord Account before the renewal date. Cancellation normally stops the next charge but does not immediately remove access; service continues through the already-paid period. NordVPN’s explanation of renewal pricing is available in its support documentation.
Basic, Complete, or Prime?
Basic
Basic is the sensible choice if you want VPN service at the lowest listed long-term price. It does not include the broader monitoring, storage, and password-management bundle associated with the higher tiers.
Complete
Complete is the plan associated with the 75% claim. It combines the VPN with features such as identity monitoring, scam-call protection, anti-malware and browsing protection, ad and tracker blocking, password management, and 1 TB of cloud storage. It is a better fit if you will use those services, but unnecessary cost for someone who wants only a VPN.
Prime
Prime is aimed at buyers seeking the broadest identity-protection bundle, including Coveron-related protection. Its higher upfront and renewal prices make it difficult to justify for VPN-only use. Additional terms apply to its identity-protection coverage.

NordVPN also displayed monthly prices of $14.99 for Basic, $19.99 for Complete, and $29.99 for Prime, with no comparable introductory percentage discount shown. The one-year Complete offer observed was $77.88 for the first 12 months, displayed as $6.49 per month, with renewal listed at $219.48 per year.

- Check the spelling, capitalization, and punctuation of the code.
- Try the official NordVPN pricing page rather than a third-party checkout page.
- Check whether the offer is restricted to new customers, a country, a plan, or a billing term.
- Check whether the plan is already discounted and cannot accept another promotion.
- Compare the final total with and without the code.
- If the official promotion appears without a code, use that verified promotion instead of an unconfirmed code.
- Contact NordVPN support if the code came from an authorized partner.
If checkout costs more than the headline suggests, likely explanations include tax, a different currency, a different plan, a one-year rather than two-year term, or missing bonus months.
Refund and cancellation terms
NordVPN’s pricing page states that qualifying purchases have a 30-day money-back guarantee. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the initial purchase through NordVPN’s 24/7 customer support. Do not assume the guarantee resets when a subscription renews.
Are third-party April deal listings reliable?
They can help identify historical promotions, but they are not proof of a working offer. April listings included conflicting percentages, uncertain expiration dates, and unclear distinctions between discount codes, affiliate links, and cashback. A claim of 75%, 77%, or 80% is not verified unless NordVPN’s checkout independently confirms the resulting price.

NordVPN alternatives
Proton VPN
Proton VPN’s deals page advertises discounts of up to 70% on certain long-term plans and promotes a free VPN tier. It is a stronger alternative for readers who do not want to commit to a multiyear paid plan. See its official pricing page for current terms.
ExpressVPN
ExpressVPN’s subscription information covers introductory offers across its Basic, Advanced, and Express Pro tiers. Its documentation says the initial price, renewal price, and renewal frequency are disclosed at checkout, while introductory discounts generally apply only to the first term. Its Terms of Service provide the relevant contractual details.
Neither alternative is a direct substitute for NordVPN’s Complete or Prime bundle. Compare the final price, included features, refund rules, and renewal terms rather than choosing on the headline percentage alone.

NordVPN’s long-term promotion can make sense if you want a mainstream VPN, value its bundled monitoring and security tools, and are comfortable paying upfront for a multiyear term. It is a poor fit if you need month-to-month flexibility, want VPN-only service at the lowest total cost, may change countries or payment methods, or are unlikely to track the renewal date.
