Nectar Social announced $10.6 million in combined financing when it emerged from stealth on June 5, 2025. Founded by former Meta leaders and sisters Misbah and Farah Uraizee, the company makes software for monitoring social conversations, managing comments and direct messages, and connecting those interactions with commerce activity. The $10.6 million included an earlier $2 million pre-seed round; it was not necessarily a single new Series A. Since then, Nectar has announced a separate $30 million Series A in 2026.
What Nectar announced in 2025
Nectar Social, founded in 2023, said it had raised $10.6 million in combined funding as it came out of stealth on June 5, 2025. True Ventures and GV (formerly Google Ventures) co-led the financing. Other reported participants included Sophia Amoruso, BAM Ventures, Mercury Fund, Charge Ventures, Flying Fish Ventures, XRC Ventures and FAB Ventures. The total included a previously raised $2 million pre-seed led by Flying Fish Ventures, according to GeekWire’s report. Calling the entire $10.6 million a newly raised Series A would therefore be imprecise.
The announcement was a funding milestone and the company’s public introduction, not proof that its product had independently demonstrated the results it promised. Nectar’s financing announcement is available through PR Newswire; investors GV and True Ventures also described their backing and the company’s approach.

Who founded Nectar Social?
Sisters Misbah Uraizee, Nectar’s CEO, and Farah Uraizee, its CTO, founded the company after working at Meta. GeekWire described their backgrounds in product management and engineering. Their experience gives them familiarity with large-scale social products, but it is founder background—not independent evidence that Nectar’s software improves sales or customer service.
#1 Best Overall
Their central thesis is that customers increasingly discover products and signal purchase intent through social posts, creator content, comments, online communities and direct messages. Brands may need to answer questions or respond to interest where it appears, rather than relying only on advertisements and branded websites.
What the platform does
Nectar is enterprise marketing and customer-engagement software, not a consumer shopping app or a storefront. It aims to bring several social workflows together: listening to conversations, organizing and responding to comments and DMs, moderating content, applying brand-specific AI assistance, learning about audiences and connecting social activity with customer or revenue data.

Investor materials describe features including social listening, an AI Copilot, AI Persona Studio and content moderation. Nectar’s current website groups its offering under Engage, Listen, Perform and Community, and emphasizes AI agents that answer questions and capture intent. Those descriptions outline the company’s product positioning; they do not establish that every capability is available on every social network or that responses are fully autonomous.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →The problem Nectar is trying to solve is fragmented work. A brand might publish through one tool, listen through another, manage customer support elsewhere and measure sales in a separate analytics or commerce system. Social teams can also end up routing questions manually through screenshots and spreadsheets. Nectar’s proposition is that a shared system can help teams spot useful conversations, respond faster and assess whether social activity contributes to business outcomes. Whether it replaces enough existing tools to justify its cost depends on a brand’s workflows, integrations and social volume.

Customers, early claims and what the numbers show
At the time of the 2025 announcement, named customers included GLAMNETIC, Solawave, Olipop and Jones Road Beauty. Nectar’s current website lists a broader range of brand names, including Babylist, Bobbie, Little Spoon, e.l.f., Tower 28, Hatch, Goop, Liquid Death, Caraway, Figma and Kosas. The website list should not be read as a record of which companies were customers in 2025, nor does a logo alone explain the scope or duration of a customer relationship.
Nectar and founder materials cited figures such as AI-assist rates above 85%, DM conversion rates of about 12%, six-figure revenue attributed to organic conversations and large numbers of first-party-data opt-ins. These are company- or founder-reported figures, not independently audited benchmarks. The available announcement material does not fully specify sample sizes, measurement periods, customer mix, attribution windows or how much human review the AI-assist figure involved.

In particular, a claimed DM conversion rate should not be treated as a general comparison proving DMs outperform email. The channels may reach audiences with different levels of intent, and the figures may use different definitions of conversion and attribution. A brand evaluating the product should ask how Nectar defines a conversion, what data sources it uses and whether it can distinguish a sale caused by a social interaction from one that was merely preceded or assisted by it.
Why investors may see an opportunity—and what a buyer should test
The investment thesis is that social engagement matters commercially but remains difficult for brands to organize and measure. A unified workflow could reduce manual triage, give teams faster ways to answer product questions and make some organic activity more visible to commerce and marketing teams. That opportunity is distinct from proof that social conversations can reliably be converted into incremental sales. Investor enthusiasm and a plausible shift in consumer behavior are not the same as independently verified customer outcomes.
Best Value
For a brand considering Nectar or a similar platform, the practical diligence questions are:
- Channel coverage: Which networks and conversation types are supported—comments, DMs, mentions, creator posts and communities—and are capabilities comparable across them?
- Human oversight: Can teams require approval, route sensitive issues to people and set rules for tone, prohibited claims and product facts?
- Attribution: Does the system rely on links, discount codes, platform or commerce data, cookies, or modeled attribution? Can it separate last-touch sales from assisted conversions and show the attribution window?
- Data and privacy: What information is stored, how are permissions managed, are conversations used to train models, and what retention, deletion and export controls are available?
- Safety and moderation: How are legal, medical, safety or age-sensitive questions handled? Can teams audit or reverse moderation actions, and how does the software reduce inaccurate product claims?
- Economics and fit: Does consolidating tools save enough staff time or improve measurable outcomes to offset subscription and implementation costs? A low-volume brand may get more value from a basic publishing tool or dedicated help desk.
Risks include changing social-platform API permissions, tone-deaf or incorrect automated replies, moderation mistakes, inflated attribution and a human-approval process that slows the workflow back down. A useful pilot should set baseline measures—such as response time, resolution quality, opt-in rates and conversions—and define how incremental results will be assessed before automation is expanded.
What happened after the 2025 announcement
Nectar’s story continued beyond the $10.6 million headline:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- June 2025: The company emerged from stealth with $10.6 million in combined financing. GeekWire reported 12 employees at the time, with engineering in Seattle and sales and marketing in New York; that is a historical snapshot, not a current headcount or office map.
- February 2026: True Ventures published a fuller account of its investment and described Nectar’s product modules.
- April 2026: Nectar and Reddit announced a data partnership involving Reddit Data API information for brand, product, trend and sentiment analysis. The announcement is described in the companies’ partnership release; it does not mean every Reddit conversation is necessarily available to every Nectar customer.
- May 2026: Nectar announced a separate $30 million Series A led by Menlo Ventures and its Anthology Fund, with True Ventures, GV and Kinship Ventures participating. It also introduced Nectar Agent. Read the Series A announcement for the company’s account of the financing and product.
In that May 2026 announcement, Nectar said it powered more than 10 million conversations a week, had engaged more than 50 million consumers, and had attributed $100 million in revenue to social. It also reported that conversation volume had grown fivefold in the preceding three months and that it powered more than 80% of brand social interactions for its customers. These are company-reported figures, not independently verified financial results, and should not be retroactively treated as evidence available at the time of the 2025 funding news.
Why the $10.6 million announcement still matters
The 2025 financing marked investor interest in software that treats social channels as places where brands both learn about customers and handle purchase-related conversations. Nectar’s later financing, Reddit partnership and agent launch suggest it continued building toward that vision. The open question for brands is not simply whether AI can answer more messages; it is whether a platform can do so safely, integrate with existing systems and show that its contribution to revenue is real rather than an attribution artifact.
