Short answer: the frequently cited Logitech Prime Day deal is historical, not a confirmed September 2026 offer. During Amazon Prime Day 2025, HotHardware reported a $119.99 price for a Logitech G502 X wireless listing and a separate $114.99 price for a white G502 X Plus Wireless. Because the original coverage uses inconsistent model names, do not assume the $119.99 listing was the RGB G502 X Plus.

But the source article’s headline called the deal a “G502 X Plus,” while its body initially referred to the $119.99 product as the “G502 X Wireless Gaming Mouse.” It then listed a separate white G502 X Plus Wireless at $114.99, described as 36% off.

These figures come from the original HotHardware roundup. Its claim that $119.99 was close to an all-time low should be treated as the writer’s historical price assessment, not as an independently verified permanent record.

Is the G502 X Plus worth paying more for?
It can be, but only if its extras match how you use a mouse. The Plus is a sensible choice for a right-handed user who wants a large, palm-oriented shape, several programmable controls, wireless operation, and RGB lighting. Those controls can be useful for MMOs, simulation games, productivity shortcuts, and general gaming.

Competitive FPS players should be more cautious. The G502 family prioritizes features and control count rather than an ultralight design. A lighter mouse may be preferable for fast, repeated swipes. The G502 shape may also be a poor fit for left-handed users, small hands, fingertip grip, or anyone who dislikes a large contoured body.
Costs that the discount percentage does not show
- Wireless power: you must manage charging, particularly if RGB is enabled.
- Connectivity: verify whether the model meets your needs for Bluetooth; a Lightspeed receiver is not the same as Bluetooth.
- Software: button remapping, lighting, profiles, and firmware features may require Logitech G Hub.
- Receiver dependence: losing a proprietary receiver can be more troublesome than using a standard Bluetooth mouse.
- Shape: a discounted mouse is still poor value if it causes discomfort.

How to check whether a Logitech deal is genuine
- Match the exact model: distinguish G502 X, G502 X Lightspeed, and G502 X Plus.
- Check wired versus wireless: a lower price may simply reflect a wired version.
- Check RGB and color: black and white variants can have different prices, and RGB can explain a premium.
- Inspect condition: confirm that the item is new rather than renewed, used, or refurbished.
- Review the seller: check seller identity, fulfillment, warranty, and return eligibility.
- Look for coupons: a displayed percentage may require clipping a coupon or having Prime membership.

The strongest buying decision is not necessarily the largest percentage discount. It is the lowest price for the exact feature set and physical design you will actually use.
