Yes—LinkedIn is testing and gradually rolling out a full-screen, swipeable vertical-video experience, but it is not available to everyone and is not a separate place to upload videos. Members who have access may find a Video tab, video carousels, or a “Videos for you” module in the mobile app. LinkedIn says eligible videos come from posts already published through the usual posting flow, with relevance and performance informing whether they appear.
Last checked August 18, 2026. LinkedIn says availability and placements may change as testing continues.
What LinkedIn’s video feed is
The phrase “short-form video feed” describes a group of related LinkedIn features, not one finished product with a stable interface. They include a full-screen vertical player, a possible Video tab in the mobile app, and recommended-video placements such as Videos for you or carousels in the regular feed. From the player, viewers can swipe upward to move to another video and react, comment, repost, share, save, adjust playback speed, or use closed captions. LinkedIn’s help page explains the current experience and controls.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe interaction resembles short-video apps, but LinkedIn’s version is built around videos posted to LinkedIn and professional discovery. It is not a separate creator network, a replacement for the ordinary feed, or evidence that every vertical clip will be recommended.

Who can see it—and where to look
LinkedIn says the full-screen vertical feed, Video tab, and carousel may not be available to all members. Availability and placement can vary by account, country, device, and rollout timing. LinkedIn has also described changing or temporarily removing the tab in some markets while it evaluates placements. The company has tested topic- and trend-oriented discovery in the United States, including workplace stories, industry news, job advice, and career tips; that does not establish a global launch.
- Open the LinkedIn mobile app. The dedicated tab and carousel are not available on the desktop site, according to LinkedIn’s help documentation.
- If you see Video in the navigation bar, tap it.
- If not, tap a video post in your feed, or look for a Videos for you module or video carousel.
- In the full-screen player, swipe upward to browse more videos. Use the displayed controls to interact or adjust playback.
If the tab is missing: try the mobile app rather than desktop, update the app, then open an ordinary video post or check your feed for a video module. A missing tab does not by itself mean your account is broken. LinkedIn describes this as a limited, evolving rollout; reinstalling the app or changing profile settings is not a documented way to unlock it.

How videos get into the experience
There is no special application, upload destination, or “submit to video feed” button. Publish through LinkedIn’s normal video-posting flow. LinkedIn says videos may be eligible for the feed, tab, or carousel based on their quality and relevance, but it does not promise placement. A vertical frame may fit the immersive player well; LinkedIn has not said that vertical formatting alone earns distribution.

LinkedIn has said video watch time rose 36% year over year and video creation grew twice as fast as other formats in the update describing its video tests. Those figures help explain why the company is investing in discovery, but they are LinkedIn’s reported metrics, not a guarantee that an individual creator will reach more people. The product update also discusses the player and changing placements.
What creators and businesses should post
LinkedIn’s own descriptions lean toward professional knowledge and workplace or career themes—not simply copying entertainment trends. Useful formats include a concise explanation of an industry development, a job-search lesson, an executive or founder perspective, a practical demonstration, a workplace story, or one clear lesson from a project or customer interaction.

- State the subject or value of the video early, so viewers know why to keep watching.
- Keep the frame simple and readable on a phone. Put important text away from the screen edges, where player controls may obscure it.
- Use reviewed captions when accessibility and comprehension matter. The player has a closed-caption control, but creators should not assume automated captions will always be accurate.
- Make one point clearly and give the post copy a useful title or opening sentence.
- Finish with a relevant next step, not a generic request for engagement.

Organic video is not the same as a video ad
Posting a video normally is different from buying video advertising. LinkedIn describes video ads as Sponsored Content that can appear in the feed and, where eligible, the LinkedIn Audience Network. Advertisers can choose objectives including awareness, video views, website visits, engagement, lead generation, and website conversions. LinkedIn’s video-ad overview covers the paid product.
LinkedIn’s ad specifications list MP4 files from 75 KB to 500 MB and durations from 3 seconds to 30 minutes for the relevant format; it recommends 15–30 seconds for the widest range of placements. In-stream ads can run up to 90 seconds, and the cited specifications support vertical 4:5 video. These are advertising specifications, not requirements for organic posts or proof that organic videos of those lengths enter the feed. Check LinkedIn’s current specifications before building a campaign.

LinkedIn has also announced First Impression Ads, a full-screen vertical format for single-day campaigns that reserves the first ad impression a member sees that day. Its broader commercial video activity includes creator sponsorships, publisher video, and connected-TV advertising. That gives the format a business rationale, but it does not show that the organic feed exists solely to create ad inventory. Nor does it confirm a Shorts-style revenue-sharing program for ordinary creators.
What the feed means for LinkedIn’s direction
The video tests are part of a broader effort to shape what members see, rather than just a change in screen format. LinkedIn has said it is improving feed ranking, reducing generic or recycled material and engagement bait, and working to limit low-effort AI-generated content and inauthentic engagement. That context favors useful, specific professional video over clips made merely to imitate another platform’s trends. See LinkedIn’s updates on improving the Feed and keeping conversations real.

It is reasonable to test short, useful video if your audience includes professionals, buyers, employees, employers, or industry peers—and your subject benefits from a voice, face, demonstration, or brief explanation. Existing webinars, interviews, demos, and thought-leadership recordings may provide material to adapt, but make the result feel native and relevant rather than reposting generic clips unchanged.
Keep the investment modest while access and placements remain in flux. Do not count on feed distribution, a global Video tab, or direct creator payouts. If you are an advertiser seeking precise professional targeting or measurable leads, evaluate paid campaigns separately from organic reach; LinkedIn advertising costs vary with auction, audience, objective, geography, and budget, so check current campaign terms before committing.
For organic measurement, look beyond raw views: track watch time or completion where reported, saves and shares, substantive comments, profile views, follows, relevant inquiries, applications, and assisted conversions. For paid campaigns, assess completed-view cost, view-through and click-through rates, lead-form completion, qualified-lead cost, and pipeline contribution. These are useful outcome measures, not confirmed ranking factors.
