The promotion covered Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 10 (16-inch AMD), reportedly matching or closely matching part number 83JN000XUS. Verify the part number before comparing prices because the IdeaPad Pro 5 family has multiple configurations.

The original report from February 21, 2026 listed a $749.99 price against Lenovo’s $1,549.99 estimated value:
- Reference value: $1,549.99
- Reported sale price: $749.99
- Difference: $800
- Calculation: $800 ÷ $1,549.99 ≈ 51.6%
That is an advertised reduction from Lenovo’s comparison figure, not proof that the laptop normally sold for $1,549.99. The meaningful question is whether $749.99 was competitive with similar RTX 5050 and OLED laptops at the time. On August 18, 2026, neither the historic price nor the coupon should be treated as current without a fresh checkout check.

- Open Lenovo’s U.S. product page and select the Ryzen AI 5 340/RTX 5050 configuration.
- Add the laptop to the cart.
- Inspect automatically applied promotions. The report said

PRO5DEALif necessary. - Enter
LENOVOLOVE2manually. - Confirm that the final cart total, not just the product-page price, changes.
- Before paying, check tax, shipping, delivery date, warranty, return terms, ZIP-code effects and the exact hardware.
If the code fails, re-enter it, remove conflicting promotions, and confirm that the SKU remains unchanged. A rejection may mean the promotion expired, inventory ran out, the code is restricted by account or geography, or the offer cannot be stacked. If the product is out of stock, the deal has ended; do not assume the coupon is merely malfunctioning.
Why the IdeaPad Pro 5 is attractive
A standout OLED display
Lenovo’s platform specifications describe a 16:10, 2880×1800 OLED panel with 120Hz variable refresh, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 500-nit typical brightness and up to 1,100-nit peak HDR brightness. It also lists DisplayHDR True Black 1000, X-Rite calibration, Eyesafe, low-blue-light and flicker-free certifications. The result should be excellent contrast, deep blacks and useful color space for photo and video work.

Peak HDR brightness is not the same as sustained full-screen brightness. The glossy surface can reflect windows and overhead lights, and prolonged static elements may create image-retention or burn-in concerns. The reported 83JN000XUS configuration is not touchscreen.
Discrete graphics in a relatively slim chassis
The RTX 5050 and 8GB of GDDR7 provide substantially more graphics capability than an integrated-Radeon-only laptop. Lenovo’s platform documentation identifies a 105W graphics power level for the relevant configuration, although real performance depends on cooling, drivers, power mode and whether the charger is connected. Expect a multipurpose laptop capable of modern gaming with sensible settings, upscaling or reduced resolution—not a maximum-settings 2.8K gaming machine.

Useful productivity hardware
The six-core Ryzen AI 5 340 suits office work, programming, browsing, communications, photo editing and moderate video projects. Its NPU is rated above 40 TOPS, but NPU specifications do not guarantee faster performance in every application; Windows features, region and software support matter.
The platform includes two USB-C USB4 ports (up to 40Gbps), two USB-A ports (up to 5Gbps), HDMI 2.1, an SD-card reader, a headset jack, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Wi-Fi 7 benefits require compatible networking equipment. Lenovo lists an 84Wh battery, but the available evidence does not establish a dependable runtime figure.

The compromises to consider
16GB RAM cannot be upgraded
The listed memory is soldered LPDDR5X. Sixteen gigabytes is adequate for everyday use and many creative tasks, but it cannot be replaced with larger SO-DIMMs later. Large video projects, virtual machines, extensive code builds and long-term ownership may justify a 32GB model or a laptop with replaceable memory. Do not confuse this machine with IdeaPad Slim 5 variants, which can use different memory designs.

512GB is workable for office files and a modest application library, but games, media projects and photo catalogs can consume it quickly. Lenovo’s broader platform documentation describes support for up to two M.2 SSDs, yet confirm the exact internal layout before buying or planning an upgrade.

Size, reflections and unknown battery life
Starting weight is approximately 1.74kg (3.83lb), with dimensions around 0.62 × 14.04 × 9.88 inches. That is reasonable for a 16-inch discrete-GPU laptop, but it is not an ultraportable, and the charger adds travel weight. OLED brightness, 120Hz operation and GPU use can materially affect battery life; no independent runtime, thermal or noise measurements are established here.
Who should buy it?
Good fit: students and professionals wanting a large, sharp OLED workspace; creators who value DCI-P3 color and an SD reader; office users who also want occasional gaming; and buyers needing stronger graphics than integrated graphics provide.
Look elsewhere if: you need a touchscreen or 360-degree hinge, maximum battery endurance, a sub-three-pound system, more than 16GB of memory, or a high-wattage gaming GPU and high-refresh gaming panel.

- Higher-power gaming laptop: preferable when sustained gaming performance, cooling and upgradeable memory matter more than OLED portability and a quieter general-purpose design.
- 32GB or convertible OLED laptop: a better match if long-term memory headroom or touch input is essential.
