No—Jamo is not currently owned by Klipsch. Jamo was historically part of Klipsch Group, which belonged to VOXX International’s premium-audio organization. That relationship ended when Jamo’s brand assets and related inventory were sold in 2024. The transaction became effective on August 15, 2024.
As of August 18, 2026, Jamo is being relaunched under new ownership associated with Jamo Holding Limited, Cinemaster, and Rayleigh Lab. Older pages may still accurately describe Jamo’s former Klipsch relationship, but they are outdated as a statement of current ownership.

How the corporate relationship worked
The word “Klipsch” can refer either to the consumer speaker brand or to Klipsch Group, Inc., the corporate organization that historically owned several audio brands. Those are related concepts, but they are not interchangeable.

Before the 2024 sale, the simplified structure looked like this:

It does not mean that Jamo was the same company as Klipsch, that every Jamo speaker was a Klipsch product, or that the two brands used identical engineering.
When did Jamo leave Klipsch and VOXX?
The ownership transition has several important dates:
- August 15, 2024: The transaction’s effective date.
- August 30, 2024: Premium Audio Company publicly announced that Rayleigh Lab and Cinemaster had completed the acquisition of the Jamo and Energy brands.
- September 5, 2024: VOXX reported the transaction in an SEC filing.
Premium Audio Company’s announcement named Rayleigh Lab and Cinemaster as the acquiring parties. VOXX’s later filing described the buyers as Jamo Holding Limited and Cinemaster Shanghai Ltd. The available documents do not fully explain the ownership percentages or the exact legal relationship among those entities, so it is more precise to describe the buyers as a new ownership group centered on Jamo Holding and Cinemaster, with Rayleigh Lab identified in the acquisition announcement.

Who owns Jamo now?
Jamo’s current ownership is associated with Jamo Holding Limited and Cinemaster, with Rayleigh Lab named by Premium Audio Company as part of the acquiring group. Jamo’s own history page says that Jamo Holding Limited was established in 2024 to restore the brand.
Because the official sources use different but related entity names, readers should avoid claiming a specific ownership percentage or saying that one named company alone owns the entire operation unless a current corporate registry or filing confirms it.

Jamo’s Danish origins
Jamo was founded in Denmark in 1968 by Preben Jacobsen and Julius Mortensen. Scandinavian design heritage remains part of the brand’s identity. Jamo’s official history

That heritage should not be confused with either corporate ownership or manufacturing location. A product can carry Danish brand heritage while being designed, assembled, or manufactured elsewhere. Manufacturing depends on the particular model and generation.

Similarly, the fact that some newer Concert Legacy products are described as made in Denmark does not mean that all historic or current Jamo products are made there. Jamo is Danish in origin and branding; manufacturing location is product-specific. Jamo’s 2026 product announcement
Does Klipsch make Jamo speakers?
There is no responsible blanket yes-or-no answer for every model.
During the Klipsch Group era, Jamo products were developed and marketed within the same broader corporate organization. An older Jamo manual, for example, identified Jamo as a registered trademark of Klipsch Group and used the wording “Engineered by Klipsch Group, Inc., USA.” That manual also identified China as the product origin for that particular product. But shared corporate ownership does not prove that a specific Jamo speaker:
- Used Klipsch drivers;
- Used the same crossover design;
- Had Klipsch’s characteristic voicing;
- Was a rebadged Klipsch model; or
- Used interchangeable replacement parts.
Those questions require model-specific manuals, technical documentation, or measurements. “Engineered within the same corporate group” is not the same as “made by Klipsch” or “identical to Klipsch.”
Are Jamo and Klipsch the same company?
No. The most accurate descriptions are:
- Same company: Inaccurate or too imprecise.
- Part of the same former parent group: Historically accurate.
- Current sister brands: No longer accurate after the 2024 sale.
- Similar product categories: Often true, since both have sold home-theater and hi-fi speakers.
- Identical sound or engineering: Not established by ownership alone.
Both brands can be relevant to someone shopping for home-theater or two-channel audio equipment, but they should be compared by model rather than corporate history. Consider speaker type, sensitivity, impedance, room size, intended listening level, and whether you need a matching center and surround system.

What does the ownership change mean for owners?
The ownership change may matter for support, warranty claims, replacement parts, manuals, firmware, and dealer relationships. However, there is no universal rule covering every Jamo product, country, or purchase date.

- The purchase date and seller;
- The country or region where it was purchased;
- The product’s manual and warranty terms; and
- Any receipt, retailer correspondence, or prior service record.
Then determine whether the product is:
- A Klipsch Group/VOXX-era model;
- Older inventory sold during or near the 2024 transition; or
- A newer product from Jamo’s post-sale relaunch.
Current Jamo products have their own support and distributor contacts, so owners should start with Jamo’s current support page rather than assuming that Klipsch will service every Jamo product. Jamo also maintains an official dealer directory.
Do not assume that a pre-2024 warranty automatically transfers to the new company, or that every historical product is covered by current Jamo support. Warranty responsibility can depend on the model, purchase date, seller, jurisdiction, and the wording of the original warranty.
Can Jamo and Klipsch speakers be used together?
Often, technically compatible speakers can be used in the same system, but compatibility is not guaranteed by historical ownership.
Check the system’s:
- Nominal impedance and the amplifier’s supported load;
- Sensitivity and expected listening levels;
- Speaker role, such as left/right, center, surround, or height;
- Crossover and bass-management settings;
- Physical placement and room acoustics; and
- Tonal balance, especially for the front three home-theater speakers.
A Klipsch subwoofer or receiver may work with Jamo speakers, just as equipment from many other brands may work together. That is a system-design question, not evidence that Jamo and Klipsch are currently owned by the same company or that they sound alike.
What is Jamo doing under its new ownership?
Jamo’s current website presents the brand as active and undergoing a relaunch. The company says Jamo Holding Limited was established in 2024 to restore the brand. Jamo also reported a global distributor summit in 2025 and has described a 2026–2028 product roadmap.

Why older articles still say Klipsch owns Jamo
Many search results and retailer pages were written before the 2024 transaction. Their statement that Jamo was owned by Klipsch or VOXX may have been correct when published, but it is not the current answer.
The safest way to evaluate an ownership claim is to check its date and prioritize:

- Jamo’s current ownership, support, dealer, and product pages.
Retailers may also sell old inventory after ownership has changed. A speaker’s presence on a retailer page does not prove that it is a current Klipsch product or that the retailer’s ownership description is up to date.
What buyers should check before purchasing
If you are comparing Jamo with Klipsch or considering used Jamo equipment, separate these questions:
- Who owns the trademark? This concerns the brand itself.
- Who sells the product? This may be a distributor, retailer, or marketplace seller.
- Who provides support? This can differ by model, region, and product generation.
- Who designed the product? Shared ownership does not prove shared engineering.
- Where was it manufactured? Check the specific product label or documentation.
- Who owns the retailer’s inventory? This is separate from brand ownership.
For used products, ask whether replacement drivers, grilles, crossovers, manuals, and warranty service are available. For new products, use Jamo’s dealer directory or obtain written confirmation of warranty coverage from the seller for the exact model and region.
Bottom line
Jamo was historically owned by Klipsch Group, which was part of VOXX International’s premium-audio organization. But Jamo’s brand assets and related inventory were sold in 2024, effective August 15. Jamo is therefore not currently owned by Klipsch.

For a purchase or repair decision, use the exact model, region, purchase date, and current dealer or support information.
