₹28,749 was a real but historical effective price for the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 8GB/128GB during Amazon India’s Republic Day Sale reported on January 17, 2025. Amazon’s sale price was ₹29,999, and eligible SBI credit-card customers could receive a further ₹1,250 discount. It was not a universal ₹28,749 listing price, and the figure should not be treated as a verified live offer in August 2026. The original dollar equivalent (about $332) was an approximate, date-sensitive conversion.

The deal was reported by Gizmochina on January 17, 2025, with a similar breakdown from My Mobile India. Depending on Amazon’s offer mechanics, the card discount could appear at checkout rather than as a lower sticker price. A shopper without an eligible SBI credit card would generally see ₹29,999, subject to the offer’s minimum purchase, EMI, card-selection and per-account conditions.
Is ₹28,749 still available?
There is no evidence in the supplied records that ₹28,749 was a live August 2026 price. A later Amazon snapshot showed the 8GB/128GB model at ₹31,999, with limited-stock language and a marketplace seller; Gadgets 360 reported ₹31,999 as the lowest Amazon price on July 19, 2026. Specifications are listed on iQOO India’s parameter page and its product overview. The Indian phone shipped with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, not OriginOS. Launch-era reports described a promise of three Android upgrades and four years of security updates; treat that as a launch-time statement and confirm the current support position with iQOO before buying an older unit.
Why gamers considered it attractive
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 remains a high-performance platform, and the combination of fast memory, UFS storage, a high-refresh display, large cooling system and 120W charging is well suited to demanding games and heavy multitasking. iQOO markets the Q1 chip for frame interpolation and game super resolution, and has cited AnTuTu results above 1.7 million. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements supplied here. Actual frame rates depend on the game, graphics settings, temperature and software updates; 144Hz is a maximum and does not mean every game renders at 144 frames per second.

Compromises to price into the decision
- 128GB is the entry configuration: there is no listed microSD expansion, so large games, 4K video and offline media can consume space quickly.
- Camera balance: the 50MP main sensor is the priority; the 8MP ultrawide is less ambitious than the primary camera. This is a performance phone rather than a camera-first model.
- Older-generation product: remaining software-support life is shorter than on a newly launched phone, even if the processor is still fast.
- Connectivity caveat: secondary iQOO community specifications identify USB 2.0, which is slow for wired file transfers; the official page does not expose every specification equally clearly.
- Charger and seller risk: confirm that the genuine 120W charger is included, particularly with marketplace stock.
- No universal bank benefit: a card-linked price is irrelevant if you do not hold the eligible SBI card or the promotion has expired.
Checklist before you pay
- Select and re-check 8GB/128GB; do not assume the price applies to 256GB variants.
- Open Amazon’s Offers section and confirm the exact eligible SBI card, minimum spend, EMI restrictions and discount limit.
- Use the final checkout total, not the headline or an old deal article, as your price.
- Review seller name, fulfillment, invoice and whether the unit is new, renewed or old stock. One captured listing named Darshita Etel as seller while Amazon handled fulfillment; that alone is neither an endorsement nor proof of a problem.
- Confirm the current manufacturer warranty and return/replacement window. The captured listing stated one year for the phone and six months for accessories, but wording can change.
- Check the box contents, especially the 120W charger, and verify delivery to your PIN code.

The headline is accurate only with its missing context: the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 8GB/128GB reached an effective ₹28,749 in a January 2025 Amazon sale after a ₹1,250 SBI credit-card discount. It was not a normal standalone price and is not verified as a current August 2026 deal. Buy only after Amazon shows the discount at checkout and the seller, warranty, variant and accessories meet your requirements. The phone makes the most sense for performance-focused buyers; shoppers prioritising cameras, 256GB storage, long support or newer hardware should compare alternatives before paying close to ₹32,000 or more.
