To view a standard Amazon retail order, sign in to the same account and marketplace used for the purchase, open Your Orders, choose a date range, search or browse, and open the order. From its details page you can usually track shipments, start a return, print an available invoice, request support, or buy the item again. Amazon changes labels and layouts by country, device, app version, and account type, so you may see Returns & Orders, Orders, or Your Orders for the same destination.
View Amazon order history on a computer
- Go to Amazon and sign in.
- Select Returns & Orders, Orders, or Your Orders in the header. You can also open amazon.com/your-orders directly.
- Choose the relevant year or date range. The default view may show only recent purchases.
- Search by product keyword or browse the results.
- Select the order, then choose the action you need, such as View order details, Track package, Return or replace items, Print invoice, Get product support, or Buy it again.
If Amazon redirects you to another country domain, use the marketplace where you actually placed the order. An Amazon.com order generally will not appear in an Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de order list.
View orders in the Amazon Shopping app
- Open the Amazon Shopping app and confirm that the correct account and country marketplace are selected.
- Tap the person/account icon or the main menu.
- Choose Your Orders or Orders.
- Filter by year or status, search for a product, and tap the order.
iPhone and Android layouts, and even labels within the same operating system, can differ after an app redesign. If older orders or invoice controls are hard to find, try the browser version of Your Orders. Updating the app, signing out and back in, or force-closing it can resolve display problems.
Search for one specific order
Use a combination of methods rather than relying on the product photo. Listings can change title, seller, image, or variation after you buy.

- Search a recognizable product name or keyword.
- Limit the search to the approximate purchase year.
- Check delivered, canceled, returned, and not-yet-shipped statuses when those filters are available.
- Search your email for Your Amazon.com order, Order Confirmation, Your package has shipped, or the order ID.
- Open the result and verify the exact item, seller, quantity, price, delivery address, and payment method.
An order ID helps Amazon identify a purchase, but it is not a public lookup key and does not bypass account authentication.
What an order-details page shows
Depending on the order, seller, marketplace, and account, details can include the order date and ID, item-level prices and quantities, seller, shipping address, payment method, shipment scans, return or refund status, and document links. One order can contain several shipments, invoices, or refunds. The purchase date is therefore not necessarily the shipping or delivery date.
Find old, canceled, returned, or missing orders
Older personal orders
- Open Your Orders.
- Change the year/date selector to the period you need.
- Search within that period.
- Check canceled and returned statuses if the order is not in the normal list.
Amazon’s current retail page lets customers browse available date ranges, but Amazon does not promise that every historical order will always remain accessible through one identical interface. Do not assume that a Seller Central “Archived Orders” control applies to a personal shopping account.

Canceled or returned purchases
A canceled or returned item is not necessarily deleted. Its order record may remain while an individual item is marked canceled, returned, refunded, or partially fulfilled. Use the status and date filters, then compare the order with cancellation, return, or refund emails.
When an order is missing
- Search every likely email inbox for an Amazon confirmation and record the order ID.
- Sign out and sign in with every email address or phone number you may have used.
- Check the correct country marketplace and the correct year/status filter.
- Try the direct browser page in a private window, then test the app separately.
- Consider whether the purchase was digital content, an Amazon Business purchase, a subscription, a gift placed by someone else, Amazon Pay, or a third-party retailer rather than an Amazon retail checkout.
- Contact Amazon Customer Service with the order ID and complete account verification. Customer Service can investigate; an order ID alone does not grant access.
Print or download an invoice, receipt, or order summary
Open the order and look for Invoice, View invoice, Print invoice, or a document option under Order details. Save the PDF or print it.
- An order summary records purchase details and may be suitable for personal records.
- An invoice is a tax or seller document when the order makes one available.
- A payment confirmation shows that a payment method was charged, but is not necessarily a tax invoice.
Document availability varies by marketplace, seller, product category, payment method, and account type. A personal order should not be assumed to have a VAT or business invoice.

Track a shipment from order history
- Open the order.
- Select Track package or the shipment-tracking control.
- Review the carrier, estimated delivery date, scan history, and current status.
- If the order was split, open each shipment separately.
A refund can appear in the order record before the credit appears on a card or bank statement. Allow for the payment provider’s processing time.
Reorder safely
Select Buy it again when available, but review the replacement before paying. Confirm the current seller, price, size/color/capacity, subscription setting, delivery estimate, and product version. A reorder shortcut can lead to a changed listing or different seller and is not proof that the new item is identical to the original.
Amazon Business order history and reports
Amazon Business accounts may use Your Orders, Business Analytics, or Reports, depending on role and setup. Amazon announced bulk purchase-document downloads for up to 2,000 orders through the Reports experience; availability depends on account, region, and document type. Technical teams can use the Amazon Business Reporting API, not a personal retail account. Current documentation identifies version 2025-06-09 and the endpoint:
GET https://api.business.amazon.com/reports/2025-06-09/orderReportsThe getOrderReports reference requires orderStartDate and orderEndDate. The interval cannot exceed 366 days, the end date cannot be in the future, and each response contains at most 100 results; use the returned nextPageToken for additional pages. Onboarding, an app client, tokens, and an Amazon Business Analytics role are required. Availability is limited to supported regions and marketplaces in the current API documentation.

For Seller Central, Amazon’s forum instructions describe an Order Reports → Archived Orders workflow: choose dates, request the report, wait for generation, refresh the download area, and download it. The cited instructions say generation can take up to 45 minutes. Amazon’s seller material says orders older than two years are archived monthly and archived reports omit buyer personally identifiable information while retaining transaction fields. This seller process should not be presented as a consumer feature. See the Seller Central instructions.

Can you download every retail order?
The ordinary retail interface is primarily for viewing and managing orders. Do not assume there is a universal one-click “download all orders” button or an Excel export. For a broad personal-data copy, review Amazon’s privacy and data-request options; availability and formats depend on marketplace and account. Business and seller reporting systems are separate and have defined permissions and limits.
Privacy and security
- Redact addresses, payment details, order IDs, gift recipients, and tracking information before sharing screenshots.
- Use Amazon’s official website or app. Avoid browser extensions that request Amazon credentials or scrape order history.
- Do not treat an email link or order number as a substitute for signing in securely.
- If a page loops or fails, try a private/incognito window, a different supported browser, or temporarily disable script-blocking extensions. Clear Amazon cookies/cache only when necessary, and ensure cookies and JavaScript are allowed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I view orders from another Amazon account?
No. Each account has its own order history. Sign in to the account used for the purchase, or ask the purchaser to provide the confirmation or documentation.
Can I view Amazon orders without signing in?
No reliable public lookup exists. A confirmation email may show limited information, but full details, invoices, returns, and tracking require account authentication.

Why does the app show fewer options than the website?
Mobile layouts and app versions can omit or relocate controls. Open the order in a browser, update the app, or use the direct Your Orders page.
Is an Amazon invoice the same as a receipt?
Not always. An invoice is a tax or seller document when available; an order summary or payment confirmation may document the purchase without being a tax invoice.
