You may be able to find your ration card number using Aadhaar, but there is no single Aadhaar-to-ration-card lookup established for all of India. Start with the official portal for the state or union territory that issued the card; availability and steps vary by jurisdiction.

Find the official portal for the state that issued your card
- Open the NFSA State/UT ration-card portal directory.
- Select the state or union territory where the ration card was issued. Ration-card records and services are handled through those jurisdictional portals.
- On that government portal, look for a service such as “Search your Ration Cards with Aadhaar ID,” “Aadhaar search,” or “Know Your Ration Card.” Labels and available services differ. Tripura’s official RCMS menu, for example, lists “Search your Ration Cards with Aadhaar ID” (Tripura RCMS menu).
- Enter information only on the official state or union territory government portal, and follow that portal’s verification instructions. There is no nationally established sequence of fields or universal OTP requirement in the services described here.

If Aadhaar search fails
- Check that you selected the state or union territory that issued the card, and follow up with its food or civil-supplies department or your local fair-price shop for current recovery instructions.
- A missing search result alone does not establish that a household has no ration-card entitlement. The Department of Food and Public Distribution describes Aadhaar seeding as a state/UT process and discusses protections for eligible beneficiaries facing Aadhaar non-possession or certain technical or authentication failures. Its page also cites an extension ending 30 September 2023, which is past; do not treat that date as a current deadline. See Distribution of Food Grains for the department’s information.
- Do not post your Aadhaar number or ration-card details publicly, and avoid third-party lookup sites. Start from the NFSA directory and use the government portal it links to.
