In the mainland WeChat/Weixin Pay wallet, open WeChat → Me → Services → Wallet → Transactions, then tap a record to see its details. Depending on your app version or wallet region, you may see Pay instead of Services, or Bills instead of Transactions.
View your transaction history
- Open WeChat and tap Me.
- Tap Services. If that label is not shown, look for Pay.
- Open Wallet.
- Tap Transactions or Bills.
- Choose a record to open its details.
This is the route Tencent’s current Tenpay privacy policy gives for viewing wallet activity. Older official instructions use Me → Pay → Wallet → Bills, so a difference in wording does not necessarily mean the history is missing. The policy says the list can include purchases, transfers, refunds, red packets, top-ups and withdrawals. Tencent’s Tenpay privacy policy
If your app is in Chinese, the relevant labels are 我 (Me), 服务 (Services), 钱包 (Wallet), 交易 (Transactions), and 账单 (Bills).

Open a transaction and check its details
Tap the payment, transfer, refund or other entry you want to inspect. Depending on the transaction, its detail page may show the merchant or recipient, amount, date and time, status, payment method, WeChat order or transaction number, and refund information. The fields and available actions can differ by transaction type, merchant, app version and wallet region.

For a payment question or dispute, note the transaction/order number and status. A record may be pending, failed, reversed or refunded rather than a completed payment. If the page offers a receipt, certificate or other record, check what it contains before relying on it for reimbursement or another formal purpose.
Find a particular payment
Start with the approximate date and the type of activity: merchant purchase, transfer, red packet, top-up, withdrawal or refund. If your transaction list offers a search box, calendar or category filter, use it to narrow the results. These controls can vary, so if you do not see them, scroll to the relevant period and open likely entries.

A refund may be connected to the original payment rather than appearing like a new purchase. If you paid with a linked card, also check whether the bank statement shows a pending authorization or a posted charge; the bank record and the WeChat transaction record are separate.
Download a transaction bill
Viewing a transaction in the list is different from requesting a bill or statement. Tencent documents this route in the mainland wallet:

Me → Services → Wallet → Transactions → upper-right menu → Frequently Asked Questions → Download the Bills
Open the transaction page, tap its upper-right menu and look for the help or FAQ option, then choose Download the Bills and follow the prompts. The wording, available periods, verification steps and delivery or download method may vary by account, region and current app interface. Do not assume the app offers an unlimited export or that every wallet has identical options.

What to use as proof of payment
- Transaction details: Useful for checking the status, amount and order number in the app.
- Downloaded bill: Use the official app flow when you need a transaction record or statement and it is available for your account.
- Screenshot: Convenient for sharing, but it may omit identifiers or final status and may not be accepted as formal proof.
- Bank or card statement: A separate record of activity processed by the issuer; it may show a different currency, timing or authorization status.
For a dispute, return, reimbursement or accounting record, keep the original downloaded document if available, plus the transaction/order number. Whether a screenshot or app record is sufficient depends on the person or institution requesting proof; do not assume every in-app display is an official certificate.

If a transaction is missing
- Confirm the account. Check that you are signed in to the WeChat account and wallet region used for the payment.
- Look under another activity type. A transfer, refund, top-up, withdrawal or red packet may not be labeled as a merchant payment.
- Check the date and status. Pending, failed, canceled, reversed and refunded activity may be displayed differently from completed payments.
- Check the related transaction. A refund may be associated with the original purchase.
- Compare the bank or card record. An issuer may show an authorization or posted charge even when the WeChat record has not completed. These records do not by themselves establish that the payment succeeded.
- Refresh the app. Restarting or updating WeChat may help if the list is not refreshing, but it cannot guarantee that a missing record will appear.
- Contact WeChat Pay support if needed. Provide the approximate time, amount, merchant or recipient, payment method and any transaction number. Never provide your payment password, verification code or full card number.
Deleted records
Tencent says users can delete transaction entries one by one from the front-end transaction page. Deleting an entry from the app view does not necessarily immediately erase records held in all systems, including where legal retention requirements or technical limits apply. Do not delete a record you may need as evidence before saving the available details. Tencent does not promise a universal way to restore an item deleted from the visible list. Mainland Weixin Pay, WeChat Pay HK and merchant records
These steps describe the mainland WeChat/Weixin Pay wallet. WeChat Pay HK is a separate Hong Kong wallet and service environment, so its labels, supported activity and statement options may differ. If you are a merchant looking for settlement, reconciliation or accounting data, the consumer wallet history is not the same as a merchant statement. Merchants use the WeChat Pay merchant platform or merchant APIs; their bill-generation and download rules should not be applied to personal wallet history. - Do not send a stranger your full card number, identity number or payment QR code.
- Redact personal details before sharing a screenshot, and verify that support messages genuinely come from WeChat or Tencent.
- Store downloaded bills securely and be wary of third-party services promising to recover transactions or download statements.
