HONOR’s January 2025 Indonesia announcement set out an expansion plan—not proof that every target was met. The company said it would launch nearly 30 products across several categories, open more than 10 Experience Stores in its first year, and establish eight service centers. As of August 18, 2026, HONOR’s Indonesian website showed a broad product range and a local service-center locator, but the pages reviewed do not confirm the final product, store, or service-center totals.
What HONOR announced for Indonesia
HONOR announced its formal Indonesia expansion on January 9, 2025, with initial launches planned for the first quarter of that year. Its announcement described a first-year plan for nearly 30 products across smartphones, tablets, personal computers, and wearables. It also set targets of more than 10 HONOR Experience Stores and eight service centers.
The company said it would work with Indonesian retailer Erajaya, alongside local retail partners and e-commerce platforms, as part of an online-and-offline sales strategy. The announcement described Erajaya as a strategic partner; it did not establish that Erajaya was HONOR’s exclusive distributor. HONOR also said it was exploring cooperation with local manufacturers and planned to adapt its offerings through Indonesian applications and services.
Local reporting called the move a comeback. HONOR had previously sold phones in Indonesia, including the HONOR 10 Lite and HONOR 8X, but that earlier presence should not be read as continuous operations. ANTARA described the return as a comeback, while HONOR’s own announcement presented it as a formal market entry.

What the current Indonesian catalog shows
HONOR’s Indonesia website and sitemap listed products in five broad categories when reviewed on August 18, 2026. The list below is a snapshot of named product pages, not a verified count of every model HONOR has launched in Indonesia.

The visible catalog indicates a broader ecosystem than phones alone: a foldable flagship, conventional smartphones at different price tiers, tablets, a laptop, watches, and earbuds. It does not establish that exactly 30 products were released. “Nearly 30” was an approximate first-year target; it could refer to models or variants across categories, and the current site may not surface every product in that target.

Price signals, not guaranteed prices
HONOR Indonesia displayed prices of Rp24,999,000 for the Magic V3, Rp8,799,000 for the HONOR 200 Pro, and Rp4,599,000 for the X9c in the pages reviewed on August 18, 2026. Those are website-listed price signals from that date, not guaranteed current prices, promotion terms, stock, or prices at every retailer. Check the relevant phone catalog or product page before budgeting; configurations and offers can change.

For a household budget, compare the local price of the exact configuration with competing phones, and include the cost of any accessories or protection you need. A high-priced foldable such as the Magic V3 is a different purchase proposition from a mainstream X-series phone; the fact that both sit in one brand’s range does not make their value or ownership costs comparable.

Stores, online sales, and after-sales support
HONOR’s planned Experience Stores were part of its customer-facing strategy, intended to let shoppers see and try products, including foldables and devices in the wider ecosystem. But an announced first-year target of more than 10 stores is not evidence that the target was reached. The current official catalog and support pages reviewed do not provide a confirmed final store count.
HONOR maintains an Indonesia service-center locator, which gives buyers a formal place to check local support options. Its original plan called for eight centers, but the current number was not established by the available pages. For a purchase, the practical questions are whether a nearby authorized center handles your exact model, what the Indonesian warranty covers, and how repairs are arranged if you are not near a center.

HONOR also published local HONOR Care terms covering extended warranty and screen or back-cover protection for eligible models and purchase channels. The terms dated February 25, 2025 named models including the X9c, Magic V3, and HONOR 200 Pro, with different eligibility conditions and deadlines. Treat these as launch-period programs, not automatically as offers available today. Confirm current terms and model eligibility before paying for a device or protection plan.
What buyers should verify before spending
- Buy an Indonesian-market unit if local warranty matters. Check that the seller and exact model are authorized for Indonesia. A global or China-market import may have different warranty coverage and service eligibility.
- Check the exact model’s network compatibility. LTE and 5G band support can differ between regional versions. Confirm the local SKU against your carrier’s requirements rather than relying on a review of a similarly named overseas model.
- Confirm software and services. China-market firmware can differ in Google-service availability, language options, apps, and update timing. Give priority to the Indonesian product page and local model details.
- Locate support before purchase. Use the service locator and check the warranty terms for the model and seller. A locator confirms a support pathway, not that every center stocks parts or handles every repair.
- Compare the complete cost. Check current local street prices, storage configuration, promotions, warranty, and included accessories. The website prices above are dated reference points, not a live quote.
- Assess ecosystem availability, not just brand breadth. A phone, tablet, laptop, watch, and earbuds listed under one brand may be useful together, but check which products are actually sold locally and which features work with the Indonesian software experience.
Local production: a plan, not a confirmed outcome
There is an important difference between the accounts of local manufacturing. HONOR’s official announcement said it was exploring cooperation with local manufacturers to increase hardware localization. ANTARA reported that the planned products would be produced locally. Those statements do not verify that all—or any particular—models were manufactured in Indonesia, or when production began. Do not treat the original exploration as proof of completed local production.

Why Indonesia was part of HONOR’s strategy
HONOR’s stated rationale centered on Indonesia’s scale and economic importance, a growing middle class, and demand for midrange-to-premium devices. It also described the country as strategically important in Southeast Asia and the wider RCEP region. That explains the company’s stated business case, but does not demonstrate its eventual sales, profitability, or market share in Indonesia.

The distinction matters to anyone judging the expansion as a business story or deciding whether to buy. A stated target describes what a company intended to do; a live product catalog shows what is listed now. Neither, by itself, proves the number of launches, stores, or repairs completed.
