Google announced the Pixel 9 lineup, Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 on August 13, 2024. At Canadian launch, prices ranged from CA$1,099 for the Pixel 9 to CA$2,399 for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel Watch 3 started at CA$479, while the Pixel Buds Pro 2 cost CA$299.
These are Canadian launch/MSRP prices announced in 2024, not necessarily what you will pay in 2026. Current stock, discounts and configurations should be checked on the Google Store Canada before buying.

The four phones in the Pixel 9 family are the standard Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pro and Pro XL are conventional phones in different sizes; the Fold is a substantially more expensive foldable.

The reported Canadian launch listing placed both storage options at CA$1,099. That made the 256GB model the stronger storage value, although buyers should confirm the available configuration before ordering.

Pixel 9 Pro
The Pixel 9 Pro started at CA$1,349. The available launch reporting did not provide a complete Canadian storage-by-storage price ladder, so it would be misleading to assign prices to unconfirmed tiers. The Pro XL was the larger conventional flagship, with a 6.8-inch display and storage available up to 1TB. Colour and storage availability can vary, so not every combination should be assumed to be in stock.

The Fold started CA$1,300 above the standard Pixel 9. Its premium is primarily for the foldable design and larger internal display, making it a poor fit for shoppers focused on conventional-phone value.

Pixel Watch 3: what the CA$479 starting price means
The Pixel Watch 3 launched in Canada at CA$479 to start. That is not necessarily the price of every model. Buyers need to distinguish between the 41mm and 45mm sizes and between Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and LTE versions.
- 41mm: potentially better suited to smaller wrists.
- 45mm: offers a larger display and may have a different price.
- LTE: can provide calls and data away from a phone, but typically requires a compatible carrier plan and recurring service cost.
- Fitbit Premium: Google announced six months of included Fitbit Premium; that is a limited included period, not permanent access.
Google described the watch as offering up to 36 hours of battery life with Battery Saver. Those are Google’s stated specifications, not independent test results. Check the current Canadian Watch 3 page for today’s size, connectivity and price options.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 pricing
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 launched at CA$299 in Canada, with availability from September 26, 2024. Google promoted features including its Tensor A1 chip, active noise cancellation and Gemini integration. Google also advertised up to 30 hours of listening time with the charging case.
At CA$299, they were positioned as premium earbuds rather than a low-cost accessory. They make the most sense for buyers who value Google integration, ANC and Pixel ecosystem features. Shoppers primarily seeking the cheapest wireless earbuds may get better value elsewhere. The price is for the hardware and should be considered separately from any optional subscription service. Launch promotions: credit is not the same as a discount
The 2024 launch offers included:
- Pixel 9: CA$150 in Google Store credit for qualifying purchases made by August 28, 2024.
- Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL: CA$275 in Google Store credit for qualifying purchases made by August 28, 2024.
- Pixel 9 Pro Fold: CA$475 in Google Store credit for qualifying purchases made by September 7, 2024, plus one year of Gemini Advanced, reported at launch as CA$26.99 per month.
These launch promotions have expired. More importantly, store credit is not an instant reduction in the checkout price. It may be restricted to eligible Google Store purchases, subject to an expiry date and other terms, and is less valuable if you do not plan to buy another Google product. Similarly, a one-year AI subscription is not permanent: check renewal terms and cancel before renewal if you do not want to pay afterward.
How much does a complete Pixel setup cost?
Using the launch prices for one phone, the starting Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the pre-tax totals were:

These calculations exclude provincial sales tax, cases, chargers, extra watch bands, LTE service, protection plans, financing costs and shipping. Trade-in credits can reduce the amount paid, but the value depends on the old device’s model, storage and condition.
Which model makes the most financial sense?
- Lowest entry price: The Pixel 9 at CA$1,099.
- Best storage value at launch: The reported 256GB Pixel 9 listing, which matched the 128GB model’s CA$1,099 price.
- Smaller Pro phone: The Pixel 9 Pro, starting at CA$1,349.
- Largest conventional flagship: The Pixel 9 Pro XL, with launch prices rising to CA$2,099 for 1TB.
- Foldable buyer: The Pixel 9 Pro Fold, if its internal display and multitasking benefits justify at least CA$2,399 and potentially higher repair costs.
- Pixel wearable buyer: The Watch 3 for users comfortable with Fitbit features and, for LTE, a recurring carrier charge.
- Pixel audio add-on: The Buds Pro 2 for buyers who value ANC and Google ecosystem integration more than the lowest price.
Taxes, financing and current pricing
All figures above are in Canadian dollars and generally represent advertised prices before applicable provincial sales tax. The final total varies by province. Carrier offers can also show a lower upfront or monthly payment while requiring financing, a service plan, a trade-in, or a deferred balance. Compare the total obligation rather than only the monthly amount.
As a dated 2026 reference point, the Canadian Google Store page observed in August 2026 displayed the Pixel Watch 3 from CA$349.99, below its CA$479 launch starting price. The Pixel 9 page displayed “from CA$1,099,” while the Buds Pro 2 page displayed CA$299. These current signals may reflect later pricing, sales or availability and should not be confused with the original launch MSRP. Verify the live product page, checkout taxes, stock and promotion terms before purchasing.
