Short answer: Selected GeForce RTX 5070 Ti cards briefly sold below NVIDIA’s $749 U.S. starting MSRP during the 2025 Black Friday period. The reported deals included an MSI Ventus 3X OC at an effective $729.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate and a PNY RTX 5070 Ti OC at $729.99 through Micro Center, with in-store pickup reported.
This is a retrospective on the late-2025 promotion, not confirmation of a live August 2026 deal. Prices, stock, rebate terms, and seller conditions can change.
The reported RTX 5070 Ti deals

Compared with NVIDIA’s announced $749 starting MSRP, $729.99 is $19.01 lower, or roughly 2.5% below MSRP. The MSI listing was effectively below MSRP only after the rebate. Its $749.99 checkout price was $0.99 above MSRP before reimbursement.
The two offers were reported by HotHardware and PC Guide ahead of Black Friday 2025. They do not establish a permanent price cut across the RTX 5070 Ti lineup.

What NVIDIA’s $749 MSRP actually means
NVIDIA announced the RTX 5070 Ti with a U.S. starting price of $749 in its Blackwell RTX 50-series announcement. “Starting price” is important: it is not a guarantee that every partner card will sell for $749.
Graphics-card manufacturers can charge more for models with larger coolers, factory overclocks, premium power delivery, RGB lighting, white finishes, or other design changes. Retailer pricing and inventory also affect the final price. A $799 or $849 card is therefore above the announced starting MSRP even if it is a faster or better-cooled partner design.
MSI Ventus 3X OC: below MSRP only after the rebate
The reported Newegg promotion listed the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3X OC at $749.99, with a $20 mail-in rebate documented in the accompanying rebate terms. That produced an effective price of $729.99 if the buyer completed the rebate process successfully.
For personal-finance purposes, treat those as two different numbers:
- Checkout price: $749.99, before tax and shipping.
- Effective price: $729.99 after the $20 rebate is paid.
A rebate may require submission by a deadline, proof of purchase, eligibility checks, or waiting for a later payment. Do not treat the rebate-adjusted figure as money immediately saved at checkout.
PNY’s $729.99 Micro Center offer had a geographic catch
The PNY GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OC was reported at $729.99 through Micro Center. The promotion was described as limited to in-store pickup, making it materially different from a nationwide online deal.

Buyers needed a participating Micro Center location, available local inventory, and the ability to collect the card. Travel costs, limited stock, and the risk of a store selling out can reduce the practical value of a nominal $19.01 discount.

What the MSI card offered
The MSI Ventus listing specified:
- 16GB of GDDR7 memory
- 8,960 CUDA cores
- A factory boost clock of approximately 2,482 MHz
- A 256-bit memory interface
- PCI Express 5.0
- One HDMI 2.1b output and three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs
- A recommended 750W power supply
Those specifications come from the named MSI listing and should not automatically be applied to every RTX 5070 Ti partner card. Power requirements, dimensions, clock speeds, cooling, and connector arrangements vary by model.
The cited MSI triple-fan design is approximately 303 × 121 × 49 mm for one listed variant. Check the exact product page before buying: a three-slot graphics card can conflict with a case, adjacent expansion card, radiator, or front-mounted fan.
Is an RTX 5070 Ti at $730–$750 worth buying?
At that price, the RTX 5070 Ti was a reasonable target for a buyer who needed a new, warrantied graphics card and wanted strong 1440p gaming with usable 4K capability, particularly when using supported upscaling features. Its 16GB of VRAM also gives it more headroom than lower-memory alternatives.
The card supports NVIDIA’s Blackwell feature set, including DLSS 4 and neural-rendering features. Those features can improve supported games, but frame generation and upscaling should not be treated as identical to native-rendering performance. Actual results depend on the game, settings, resolution, and CPU.

Buy considerations
- You can obtain a new card at or below $749 from a reputable seller.
- You need the performance now rather than waiting indefinitely.
- The exact card has sufficient VRAM for your games or creative applications.
- Your case, power supply, connector, and cooling setup are compatible.
- The warranty and return policy are clear.
Reasons to hesitate
- The discount depends on paperwork or delayed reimbursement.
- The offer requires a long trip for store pickup.
- The card is sold by an unfamiliar marketplace vendor.
- A premium model costs hundreds more without a clear need for its cooler or features.
- You are buying primarily because a headline suggests every RTX 5070 Ti has become cheaper.
How it compared with nearby options
NVIDIA announced the RTX 5070 at a $549 starting price, making it the more appropriate choice for buyers whose budget is closer to $550 and who do not need the Ti model’s higher tier or 16GB memory. The RTX 5080 launched at a much higher $999 starting price, so a properly priced RTX 5070 Ti could offer a more conservative route for buyers who do not need the additional performance.
Used RTX 4070 Ti Super, RTX 4080, or Radeon 7900-series cards may also be competitive depending on local pricing and benchmarks. Used buyers, however, take on warranty uncertainty, possible wear or mining history, less predictable return rights, and older feature support. Exact Radeon comparisons require current prices and comparable testing; the deal reports alone do not establish a performance winner.
Why the deal did not prove a permanent price collapse
The promotion applied to specific partner models and used different mechanisms. One relied on a mail-in rebate; the other was reportedly limited to Micro Center pickup. Neither was an across-the-board NVIDIA price reduction.
Captured retailer results also showed wide variation. An MSI Ventus listing on NVIDIA Marketplace was observed at $829.99 and marked out of stock, while a premium MSI Gaming Trio listing at Best Buy was captured at $1,049.99. These are time-stamped observations, not guaranteed current prices, but they illustrate why the exact model and seller matter.
RTX 5070 Ti buying checklist
- Identify the exact SKU. Do not rely only on “RTX 5070 Ti.” Compare the manufacturer, cooler, clock, dimensions, and connector.
- Separate checkout and effective prices. Record the amount charged today and any later rebate separately.
- Check the seller. Confirm whether the product is sold directly by the retailer, a marketplace seller, or a third party.
- Confirm availability. Look for shipping, local pickup, stock limits, and regional restrictions.
- Read the rebate terms. Check the submission deadline, required documents, payment method, and eligibility limits.
- Measure the case. Verify GPU length, height, thickness, and clearance around adjacent components.
- Check power compatibility. Confirm the recommended PSU, connector, and whether an adapter is included.
- Review warranty and returns. A small discount is not worthwhile if returning a defective card is difficult.
- Include total cost. Add shipping, sales tax, travel for pickup, membership fees, and any financing cost.
What to expect from future deal coverage
A genuine below-MSRP listing should identify the exact model, compare it with NVIDIA’s $749 starting MSRP, state whether the price is before or after a rebate, name the seller, and disclose shipping or pickup restrictions. A premium card above $749 is not a below-MSRP deal merely because it has been marked down from an even higher price.
Do not assume waiting for Black Friday guarantees a lower price. Promotions can disappear, inventory can tighten, and only selected models may receive discounts. Conversely, do not rush into a purchase solely because a temporary rebate makes a card appear cheaper.
