Fast Domain and Bluehost are now presented as one by Bluehost. This is better understood as a consolidation of Fast Domain’s customer-facing services into Bluehost—not a conventional partnership in which two independent brands continue operating side by side. Existing customers are directed to log in through Bluehost, while Bluehost becomes the destination for account management, domains, hosting, websites and online stores.
Bluehost says existing credentials remain valid, renewal dates and billing cycles do not change, and hosting servers and website content do not move. Those are Bluehost’s stated transition policies, so customers should still verify their account, billing, domain and email details after logging in.
What happened to Fast Domain?
Bluehost’s official transition page says that “Fast Domain and Bluehost.com are now one.” The wording points to a consolidation or rebrand of the customer experience rather than a newly launched co-branded partnership.

Here, Bluehost directs existing Fast Domain customers to its own login and support environment. That makes Bluehost the customer-facing platform for the affected accounts.

There is not enough evidence in the supplied official material to call this an acquisition, merger or specific corporate transaction. The safest description is a Fast Domain-to-Bluehost transition.
What existing Fast Domain customers need to do
According to Bluehost, customers do not need to make changes for the transition because account settings update automatically. The practical access path is:
- Go to Bluehost.com.
- Select Log In.
- Enter the credentials previously used for Fast Domain.
- Confirm that your domains, hosting products, websites, email accounts and billing history appear.
- Check renewal dates, auto-renewal status, payment details and current plan information.
- Test the website, webmail, email sending and email receiving.
Do not create a second Bluehost account before trying the existing credentials or contacting support. A duplicate account can make ownership and billing verification more difficult.

If you cannot log in
Use Bluehost’s official password-recovery process and try the email address historically associated with the Fast Domain account. Keep old invoices, domain-registration messages and account identifiers available when contacting Bluehost support. Specific recovery-screen labels can change, so use the current support links provided on Bluehost’s site.
Will the website, server, domain or email move?
Bluehost’s transition FAQ says the hosting server and website content will not move. That means the change should primarily affect branding, account access and management—not require a customer-initiated website migration.

“No migration” does not mean nothing can look different. Customers may see new invoices, support URLs, product names, account controls, renewal displays or upsell messages. Those changes do not necessarily indicate that the website has moved.
Billing and renewal dates: unchanged does not mean prices are frozen
Bluehost says existing renewal dates and billing cycles will not change. That addresses when a customer is billed, not necessarily how much the next renewal will cost.
After logging in, check:
- the next renewal date;
- the renewal price;
- auto-renewal status;
- the saved payment method; and
- separate products such as email, SSL, backups or add-ons.
Do not assume that a promotional price displayed to new Bluehost customers automatically applies to an existing Fast Domain account.
What happens to the domain?
Bluehost says the domain itself is not affected, while the registrar identity is updated. WHOIS or RDAP information may show Bluehost, Inc. and Bluehost’s registrar URL.
A registrar-name change does not automatically mean that:
- ownership changed;
- the nameservers changed;
- the website moved;
- email stopped working; or
- the domain was transferred at the customer’s request.
Still, check the domain’s registrant contact information, expiration date, transfer lock, nameservers and DNS records. A registrar-record update is different from a voluntary domain transfer.

Bluehost’s product range includes:
- domain registration and transfers;
- WordPress hosting;
- AI website and online-store builders;
- WooCommerce hosting;
- general website hosting;
- VPS, cloud and dedicated hosting;
- business email and related tools; and
- professional website design and marketing services.
Existing Fast Domain customers do not automatically receive every Bluehost product. Availability, pricing, eligibility and included features depend on the account, plan and country.
Bluehost pricing: read the renewal terms
On Bluehost’s U.S. homepage, reviewed August 18, 2026, displayed promotional signals included:
- WordPress hosting from $4.99 per month for an initial 36-month term, shown against a regular price of $11.99 per month.
- WooCommerce hosting from $15.99 per month for an initial 36-month term, shown against $23.99 per month.
- VPS hosting from $3.99 per month for a 36-month term, shown renewing at $9.99 per month.
- A VPS Business plan shown at $6.99 per month, renewing at $13.99 per month.
- An eCommerce Essentials plan shown at $14.99 per month, renewing at $21.99 per month.
These are displayed U.S. promotional signals, not universal or permanent prices. Country, currency, taxes, term length, product version, checkout offer and renewal date can change the total. Confirm the final price and renewal rate before buying.
Bluehost also advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee for several hosting products. Its displayed free-domain policy applies to eligible new registrations or transfers with qualifying 12- or 36-month hosting terms: the domain is free for the first year and renews at the then-current rate. Should you stay with Bluehost?
Bluehost may be reasonable if you want one dashboard for a domain, hosting, email and website; a beginner-oriented WordPress setup; a bundled site builder; WooCommerce hosting; or optional professional design help.
It may be a poor fit if you prioritize the lowest long-term renewal cost, want your registrar and host kept separate, need highly specialized infrastructure, require fine-grained server administration, or want a simple domain-only provider.

Voluntarily transferring a domain to Bluehost
You do not need to initiate a domain transfer merely because WHOIS or RDAP now identifies Bluehost as the registrar. A separate transfer is relevant only if the domain is currently held elsewhere and you deliberately want to consolidate it.
Bluehost’s domain-transfer instructions generally require you to:
- Unlock the domain at its current registrar.
- Confirm that it is more than 60 days old and otherwise eligible.
- Obtain the authorization or EPP code.
- Enter the domain and purchase the transfer.
- Submit the authorization code.
The transfer page displayed example prices, including a $12.99 transfer price for several listed extensions. It also lists example registration and renewal prices such as .com at $12.99 registration and $23.99 renewal. These are displayed examples and can change by TLD, country and date. A transfer may also extend registration by one year, subject to the domain’s rules.
Troubleshooting after the transition
The website is not loading
- Check whether the domain expired or was suspended.
- Confirm that nameservers are still correct.
- Check the A, CNAME, MX and TXT records.
- Confirm that the hosting account is active.
- Determine whether the problem affects the website, email or both.
- Rule out local DNS caching or a wider service outage.
Because Bluehost says servers and content are not moving, do not automatically assume an outage is caused by the consolidation.
Email stopped working
Check MX records, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, mailbox status, webmail login, email-product billing and the domain’s nameservers. A registrar-brand change alone should not normally require rewriting mail records, but these checks can identify a separate DNS or mailbox problem.
Billing looks wrong
Compare the account’s invoice with old Fast Domain records. Confirm whether the charge is for hosting, a domain, email, SSL, backup or another add-on. If the renewal date or billing cycle appears inconsistent with Bluehost’s transition statement, contact official Bluehost support with the invoice and account information.

Choose based on the service you actually need:
- Independent domain registrar: useful when you want domain ownership and hosting managed separately.
- Managed WordPress host: useful when WordPress performance, staging, backups and specialist support matter most.
- Cloud or VPS provider: useful for developers who need infrastructure control and scalable compute.
- Hosted e-commerce platform: useful when payments, inventory, checkout and operations should be managed in one application.
- Website builder: useful for a straightforward informational site that does not need WordPress’s flexibility.
Compare renewal pricing, backups, privacy, DNS controls, email, support and transfer policies—not just the introductory monthly price.
Bottom line
Bluehost’s official message describes Fast Domain and Bluehost as one, so “consolidation” is more accurate than “partnership.” Existing customers generally should log in through Bluehost with their existing credentials, verify their account and billing details, and test their website and email. Bluehost says the hosting server and content will not move, and that renewal dates and billing cycles remain unchanged.
Do not confuse the registrar-name update with a voluntary domain transfer, and do not assume that Bluehost’s current promotional pricing applies to an existing account. New customers should compare the full renewal cost and choose between bundled hosting, WordPress, WooCommerce, a domain-only setup or a different provider based on their technical and financial priorities.
