Google Store lists the Fitbit Charge 6 for $119.95, reduced from $159.95, and displays the promotion as ending August 23, 2026. That is a $40 reduction, or about 25% off the stated regular price. The offer is the clearest verified deal in this roundup. Confirm the price and expiration at checkout; do not assume the offer will remain after the displayed end date.
The Charge 6 is a fitness tracker rather than a full smartwatch. It has built-in GPS for tracking outdoor pace and distance without carrying a phone, tracks heart rate, steps, calories, sleep and Active Zone Minutes, and supports more than 40 exercise modes. It also supports Google Maps turn-by-turn directions and Google Wallet. The band is water resistant to 50 meters, according to Google.

Its ECG and irregular-heart-rhythm features are available only in supported markets and with compatible devices. They provide wellness information, not a medical diagnosis. Availability for health features can vary by location and device. Advanced coaching, readiness, stress and workout content may require Google Health Premium, so not every advertised feature is included indefinitely with the hardware.
Google Store advertises a three-month Google Health Premium trial with the Charge 6. Treat that as a time-limited subscription offer, not a permanently free feature: check the offer terms for eligibility, the renewal price, and cancellation details before activating it. The available offer information does not establish a universal renewal price.
Worth buying? At $119.95, the Charge 6 is a reasonable choice if you want a compact tracker with built-in GPS, health and activity tracking, and Google services for less than a full smartwatch. Skip it if you need cellular connectivity, a broad smartwatch app experience, or want to avoid a subscription upsell. The $40 saving is measured against Google’s stated $159.95 price, not a claim that this is an all-time low.

The Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) is listed at $279.99 on Google Store. No active discount is confirmed on its product page in this price snapshot. That is a relevant product to compare, but it should not be described as currently on sale at that retailer.

The previous roundup’s $239.99 Nest price was reported on April 9, 2025, roughly $40 below today’s listed price. That was a historical offer, not a price readers can assume is still available. If your existing thermostat works and you are price-sensitive, waiting for a confirmed markdown is reasonable. Paying $279.99 may make sense if you need a replacement now and value the fourth-generation model’s features, provided your heating and cooling system is compatible.
The thermostat has a 3.9-inch-diameter, 1.1-inch-deep housing and a 600-by-600-pixel circular LCD display. Google says it supports most 24-volt gas, electric, oil, forced-air, heat-pump and radiant systems, along with specified heating and cooling stages, fans, and certain humidifier, dehumidifier and ventilation configurations. The box includes one Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen), a trim plate, steel plate, screws and wiring labels. Google says each thermostat can use up to six temperature sensors in total.
Setup requires the Google Home app. Google lists compatibility with Google Home and Matter-compatible apps and assistants. The thermostat is ENERGY STAR certified, and some utility customers may qualify for a rebate. Rebate availability and eligibility depend on location and energy provider, so confirm them directly rather than subtracting an assumed rebate from the purchase price.

Check your HVAC system before buying
Most homes do not require a C wire for this thermostat, but that is not a guarantee for every installation. Google says a C wire or Nest Power Connector may be needed in limited cases. Proprietary systems, dual-transformer setups, some zoned systems and specialized wiring can be incompatible or require professional help. Heat pumps, auxiliary or emergency heat, multiple R wires, and humidifier, dehumidifier or ventilation equipment deserve particular attention because terminal and wiring limits matter.

Use Google’s thermostat compatibility guidance and the wiring information for the fourth-generation model before ordering. If the system is unusual or the wiring is unclear, get a qualified installer’s assessment and quote first. Installation costs can erase the value of a discount. Google’s compatibility claim covers most compatible 24-volt systems, not every residential HVAC installation.
Worth buying? Buy at $279.99 if you need the thermostat now, have verified compatibility, and will use its room sensor, display or smart-home integration. Otherwise, waiting for a sale is the more cautious price-conscious choice. Do not purchase on the assumption that an old deal price or a possible utility rebate will apply.

The April 9, 2025 roundup also mentioned Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 four-packs, 8BitDo keyboards, Lexar SSDs, Razer gaming headsets, UGREEN chargers and power banks, TCL QM6K televisions, Samsung Galaxy tablets, Amazon Fire TV devices and Echo Buds. Those were products in a dated roundup, not verified live offers for August 2026. Without a current retailer price and availability check, there is no sound basis to present them as active deals or repeat their old prices.
Before you buy: a quick deal check
- Confirm the checkout price and deadline. A product page or cached deal article can be outdated; for the Charge 6, Google Store displays August 23, 2026 as the offer end date.
- Check who sells and fulfills the item. This snapshot concerns Google Store listings. If another retailer offers a lower price, verify the seller, condition (new, open-box or refurbished), warranty, shipping charge and return policy.
- Read the subscription terms. For the Charge 6 trial, verify eligibility, renewal price and cancellation deadline before signing up.
- Account for extras and installation. For the thermostat, check HVAC compatibility and get an installation quote if needed; only count a utility rebate once your provider confirms eligibility.
- Compare like with like. A stated discount is measured against the retailer’s stated regular price. It is not, by itself, proof of a historical low or the best available price.
For a broader product comparison, Google positions the standard Nest Thermostat below the Learning Thermostat in features such as display, scheduling, sensor support and HVAC capabilities. It does not work with the Nest Temperature Sensor, so compare requirements rather than choosing on price alone.
