Cyber Monday 2025 fell on December 1, and its headset deals have ended. This U.S.-focused archive records five gaming-audio offers worth considering that day: the HyperX Cloud III for wired value, Razer BlackShark V2 Pro for a steep wireless discount, Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 for device flexibility, SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds for an in-ear option, and Astro A50 Gen 5 for a docked premium setup. The prices below are historical, not current offers.
This guide focuses on gaming headsets with microphones and gaming earbuds. General headphones and display glasses may suit other needs, but they are not equivalent substitutes: a gaming headset’s microphone and connection support can matter as much as its sound. Retailer category pages often mix these product types, along with marketplace listings, so category placement alone is not a quality signal.

Which Cyber Monday 2025 headset deal was the best value?
HyperX Cloud III: best budget wired pick
At about $68.99 against a displayed $99.99 reference price, the Cloud III was the straightforward low-cost choice for someone happy to use a cable. Windows Central selected it as a wired value pick and highlighted its dual-chamber-driver design. A wired connection avoids charging and wireless pairing, and can be convenient for a controller or computer with a suitable port.
It is not a fit for someone who wants to move freely, mix game audio with phone audio over Bluetooth, or avoid checking device connections. Confirm how the specific version connects to your system rather than assuming every port or adapter is included.
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: best large wireless discount
The reported price was about $109.99, versus a displayed $199.99 reference price—roughly 45% off. That makes it the strongest percentage reduction in this shortlist, but the biggest discount does not automatically make it the best headset for every buyer.

Razer lists 2.4GHz HyperSpeed wireless, Bluetooth, and up to 70 hours of battery life on PC; battery claims vary by platform and configuration. Its official product information distinguishes PlayStation and Xbox support. Buy the edition meant for your console. In particular, do not assume that an Xbox model connects to every Windows PC as native Xbox Wireless without the required Xbox Wireless Adapter. Bluetooth is useful for mobile convenience, but a 2.4GHz dongle is generally the more appropriate wireless route for latency-sensitive play.

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3: best for device switching
At about $149 against a displayed $199.99 reference price, the Stealth 700 Gen 3 offered a middle ground for people who move between gaming devices and a phone. Turtle Beach lists two USB transmitters, simultaneous 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, and platform-specific Xbox and PlayStation versions on its official product page. The dual-transmitter setup is useful for switching between supported systems; check that the variant matches your console and PC arrangement.
Turtle Beach advertises up to 80 hours of battery life and about three hours of use from a 15-minute quick charge. These are manufacturer figures, not comparable standardized tests, and actual runtime depends on use. The company also lists a flip-to-mute microphone, AI-based noise reduction, Swarm II software controls, memory-foam glasses-friendly cushions, and a lay-flat design. Those are product features and manufacturer comfort claims, not independent proof that every wearer will find it comfortable or that its microphone sounds best. Some controls and customization depend on the companion app.
SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds: best in-ear alternative
For about $149.99 against a displayed $199.99 reference price, the Arctis GameBuds offered a gaming-focused alternative for people who dislike over-ear cups or want a more portable format. Windows Central described USB connectivity for Xbox and PC plus Bluetooth for mobile. Treat this as a separate form factor, not a direct price-for-price substitute for an over-ear headset.

Astro A50 Gen 5: best premium base-station setup
The reported deal was about $239.99 against a displayed $299.99 reference price, roughly 20% off. Its appeal is a charging dock and multi-device convenience in a desk or entertainment-center setup; contemporary Windows Central coverage described PC, Xbox, Bluetooth, and dock use. Check the edition’s console compatibility before purchase. The dock takes space, the price remained high even on sale, and this is a poor choice if portability or minimum cost matters most.
How to choose by budget and use case
- Under $75: The Cloud III was the clearest listed option if wired use suits your setup.
- Around $100–$120: The BlackShark V2 Pro’s discount was compelling if the sale listing was the correct platform edition.
- Around $150: Choose the Stealth 700 Gen 3 for its transmitter and Bluetooth flexibility; choose GameBuds if you specifically prefer earbuds.
- Around $240: The A50 Gen 5 made sense for buyers who wanted a docked multi-device setup and accepted its price and footprint.
For a sound-first premium alternative, PC Gamer’s 2025 recommendations included the Audeze Maxwell and Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro, but the cited roundup does not establish Cyber Monday prices for them. They should not be presented as verified deals on the strength of those recommendations alone. See PC Gamer’s Cyber Week headset recommendations for its broader editorial selection.
Wired or wireless: what is worth paying for?
Wired models usually cost less, need no battery charging, and can connect simply through a compatible 3.5mm port. They are a sensible choice when the headset will stay near a controller or computer and the cable is not a nuisance. Connection details still matter: devices differ in their ports and in how microphone audio is supported.
Recommended Free Tools
Wireless models remove cable drag; a 2.4GHz USB transmitter can provide a low-latency game connection, while Bluetooth can add phone or tablet use. Some higher-end models can play game and mobile audio together. In exchange, wireless headsets cost more, need charging, may rely on firmware or companion software, and can have edition-specific transmitter requirements. Batteries also age. PC Gamer noted that modern 2.4GHz gaming headsets can be very low latency, while wired options remain strong value choices; see its Cyber Monday deal selection.

Check compatibility before buying
“Wireless” and “Bluetooth” are not universal compatibility guarantees. Xbox Wireless, USB audio, a 2.4GHz dongle, and Bluetooth are distinct connection methods. A headset may work with a phone over Bluetooth but require a transmitter or a separate edition for console game audio.
- Match the listing’s exact Xbox or PlayStation edition to your console. Similar product names can hide different wireless support.
- Check whether the required USB transmitter is included, and whether you need one or two transmitters to connect your devices as intended.
- For a PC, verify whether the headset’s wireless method is supported directly or needs an adapter. Check which companion-app features require Windows or mobile software.
- For Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, or mobile, verify the connection method and microphone behavior for the exact device. Do not infer support from another platform’s listing.
- For phone audio alongside game sound, distinguish simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4GHz playback from a headset that merely supports both connection types separately.

Sound, microphone and comfort: the trade-offs behind “best”
Sound depends on what you play
Competitive shooters, story-driven games, and music do not necessarily reward the same tuning. Positional clarity and controlled bass may matter more in a competitive game; a broader or warmer presentation may be more enjoyable for a single-player session. Equalizer settings and spatial-audio processing can change the sound, and driver size by itself does not prove quality. PC Gamer’s broader recommendations spanned value and audiophile-oriented choices, underscoring that “best” depends on use rather than discount size; see its Cyber Monday headset guide.
Microphone features are not a quality ranking
A boom microphone is often more practical for party chat than a headphone mic designed mainly for calls. Look for the functions you will use—such as flip-to-mute, mic monitoring or sidetone, and noise reduction—and check whether controls work on your console or require software. A manufacturer’s microphone sampling specification or noise-reduction label does not, by itself, establish how clear your voice will sound in a real call.

Comfort is personal
Clamp force, ear-cup depth, headband padding, weight, heat, and glasses clearance all affect long-session comfort. A glasses-friendly cushion claim is useful to note, but it cannot guarantee fit for every frame or head shape. If possible, check the return terms for the specific seller and listing before buying; return windows and warranty terms are not established here.
How to read the historical deal prices
The listed “was” or reference amount is the comparison price reported alongside the sale, not proof of a manufacturer’s list price, the usual pre-sale price, or the product’s lowest historical price. Contemporary deal coverage supports the December 1, 2025 observations, but not a complete price-history record. Manufacturer product pages can now show later products or different prices, so current listings must not be substituted for the historical Cyber Monday figures.
For any present-day purchase, treat the 2025 figures as a record, not an offer. Verify the live price, stock, exact model edition, included transmitter, return policy, warranty, and shipping terms with the current seller. None of those details follows from a past sale listing.
