For a podcast, copyright-free music means a track whose licence covers your intended use, such as an intro, outro, transition, trailer, or spoken-word bed. The clearest options in the sources below are Loudly, Musicful, Mureka, OpenMusic AI, Songin.ai, InsMelo Podcast Music Generator, Music for Makers, Notagen AI Background Music Generator, and PlayItOut. Suno, Sunp, and AceStep AI Instrumental Generator can also fit, but you must match the plan or licence terms to commercial publishing.
What Copyright-Free Means For A Podcast
“Royalty-free” does not automatically mean every download is free for every use. Check whether the specific plan permits commercial publishing, whether the licence is perpetual or limited, and whether attribution or platform restrictions apply. A free tier can be suitable for evaluation while still excluding a monetised show.
For voices, covers, voice cloning, or uploaded samples, get the necessary consent from the people who created or performed the material, then read the platform’s current terms before publishing. Suno
Suno is a broad workspace for complete songs, editing, stems, and mobile apps. Its Pro plan is described as providing royalty-free music and commercial-use rights, while the Free Plan does not include commercial rights or stem separation. The directory lists paid plans from $8 per month; Pro downloads are limited to 20 songs per month. Confirm the commercial licence on the plan you will use.
