Coforge and Salesforce announced Coforge ENZO on August 20, 2024. It combines Salesforce’s sustainability-management software—then called Net Zero Cloud—with Coforge’s data, implementation, carbon-accounting, reporting and decarbonization services. ENZO is intended to help organizations measure and manage emissions; it does not itself cut emissions or guarantee net-zero results.
What Coforge and Salesforce announced
Coforge described ENZO as its “Environmental & Net Zero Offering,” built around Salesforce Net Zero Cloud. The launch announcement says the offering is designed to collect emissions data, calculate greenhouse-gas emissions, provide dashboards, support decarbonization planning and help produce sustainability reports aligned with frameworks including GRI, SEC and CSRD. Coforge’s announcement dates the launch to August 20, 2024; it is not a new 2026 launch.
In later materials, Coforge describes ENZO as a business-process-as-a-service solution covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 accounting and reporting. Coforge earnings-call and annual-report materials also refer to ERM’s involvement in its development. The original launch release names Coforge and Salesforce, so ERM’s role is best understood as a later Coforge description rather than a party named in that launch announcement.
The practical distinction is important: ENZO is not simply a standalone carbon calculator. It is a services-led sustainability offering built around Salesforce technology. Salesforce supplies the platform; Coforge says it contributes data engineering, system integration, implementation, carbon accounting and reporting services, alongside advisory support for decarbonization and sustainable operations. Coforge’s ENZO overview and its solution paper describe that services layer.

How the offering is intended to work
Corporate emissions information commonly sits across utility bills, fuel records, travel systems, freight data, purchasing systems, facilities records and supplier submissions. Those sources may use different formats, units, organizational labels and reporting periods. ENZO’s stated purpose is to help consolidate and prepare that data for accounting and reporting.
- Collect activity data: Bring together records such as energy use, fuel consumption, travel, freight, procurement and supplier information.
- Clean and map it: Normalize units and business entities, identify duplicates or gaps, and connect facilities and activities to the organization’s reporting boundary.
- Calculate emissions: Apply emissions factors to activity data and classify results. The choice of factor, its source, geography, year and methodology affects the result.
- Analyze and plan: Use dashboards, targets and forecasts to identify significant sources and consider possible reductions, such as efficiency measures, renewable energy, fleet changes or supplier engagement.
- Prepare disclosures and track progress: Assemble reporting information, review it through the organization’s governance process, and repeat the inventory over time to assess progress.
Salesforce’s current product materials describe functions including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions management, forecasting and target-setting, supplier sustainability data, waste and water management, carbon-credit management, analytics and disclosure workflows. Available features can vary by edition and configuration. Salesforce’s product overview and setup guidance provide details on the platform.
What the emissions scopes mean
- Scope 1 covers direct emissions from sources an organization owns or controls, such as fuel burned in its boilers or vehicles.
- Scope 2 covers indirect emissions associated with purchased electricity, steam, heating or cooling.
- Scope 3 covers other value-chain emissions, including categories such as purchased goods, transport, business travel and the use or end-of-life treatment of products.
Scope 3 can be especially difficult to measure. Some categories may rely on supplier-specific information; others may use activity estimates or spending-based calculations. Those methods do not carry the same level of precision. A platform can organize and calculate the data it receives, but cannot turn incomplete or estimated inputs into verified measurements simply by automating the workflow.

Measurement is not emissions reduction—or automatic compliance
Coforge’s launch materials say ENZO can support reports aligned with GRI, SEC and CSRD, and describe outputs as audit-ready. Those are vendor claims about the offering’s intended capabilities, not a guarantee that every customer’s report will satisfy every applicable rule. The frameworks are not interchangeable. Reporting obligations depend on factors such as jurisdiction, company status, sector, reporting boundary and the rules in force.
Organizations remain responsible for choosing and documenting boundaries, checking data, controlling calculations, retaining evidence and reviewing disclosures with appropriate sustainability, finance, legal and assurance professionals. “Audit-ready” does not mean independently assured. Nor does a report or dashboard prove that a company has reduced emissions. Reduction requires operational changes, investment and, often, supplier action. ENZO supports measurement, management and planning; the public launch materials do not establish that it has delivered quantified emissions reductions for customers.
Boundary changes also matter. Acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, leased assets and changes in operational control can affect which emissions belong in an inventory and whether previous figures need restatement. Buyers should establish how a proposed implementation would document such changes and preserve an audit trail.

Salesforce’s current product name
At launch, the underlying product was called Salesforce Net Zero Cloud. Salesforce documentation now uses the name Agentforce Net Zero in some places while legacy Net Zero Cloud references remain. That naming evolution does not make ENZO a separate, independent emissions platform: the offering was described as built around Salesforce’s sustainability technology, with Coforge’s services layered around it. Coforge does not publish a standalone ENZO price, and its implementation or managed-service fees are not disclosed in the cited public materials. Salesforce’s own pricing is a separate cost: a Salesforce regional page lists Net Zero Cloud Growth at $210,000 per organization per year, billed annually, including one full CRM license. Other Salesforce pricing views direct buyers to contact sales, and prices, editions and add-ons may change. Treat that figure as a Salesforce price signal—not an ENZO quote—and confirm the edition, currency, included licenses, contract term and add-ons directly with the vendor. Salesforce’s regional pricing page and pricing overview show the available information.
For context, Microsoft lists Sustainability Manager Essentials at $4,000 per tenant per month and Premium at $12,000 per tenant per month on its US page. Persefoni advertises free carbon-accounting access as well as advanced solutions. These are different licensing and service models, so their headline prices are not directly comparable to Salesforce’s annual organization price or to a complete ENZO implementation. Organizations can also evaluate Salesforce directly, without assuming they need ENZO. Salesforce offers setup documentation and trial resources, while an organization with internal Salesforce expertise may choose its own implementation approach. Conversely, Coforge’s services may be useful where the buyer needs substantial data transformation, integrations, managed accounting or decarbonization support. Direct software purchase still does not remove the work of preparing data, configuring controls or governing disclosures.

ENZO may suit a larger organization that already uses Salesforce—or wants a Salesforce-centered environment—and has fragmented sustainability data, complex integrations or a need for implementation and ongoing accounting support. It may also appeal to companies seeking help connecting emissions measurement to supplier engagement or operational planning.
It may be a poor fit for a small organization seeking a low-cost self-service calculator, a business with a simple inventory that a specialist tool can handle, or a buyer that wants fixed public pricing and minimal implementation work. It is also unlikely to solve a problem where no one owns data collection and review internally. A platform cannot compensate for missing accountability.

Questions to ask before buying
- Which Salesforce edition, licenses and add-ons are required, and what does ENZO add beyond a direct Salesforce purchase?
- Is the engagement a fixed package, a customized implementation, a managed service or a combination? What is included in the quoted price?
- Which ERP, procurement, travel, utility, fleet and supplier systems have standard connectors, and what integration work is billable?
- Which Scope 3 categories and calculation methods are supported? How are supplier-specific data and estimates distinguished?
- Which emissions-factor sources are used, how are they updated, and can users see the factor and assumptions behind each calculation?
- Can the organization export source records, emissions factors, calculations and audit trails if it leaves Salesforce?
- How are reorganizations, acquisitions, divestitures, changing boundaries and historical restatements handled?
- Which framework outputs are templates, and what customer configuration, legal review or assurance work remains?
- What implementation timeline, service-level commitments and ongoing staffing are proposed for an organization of similar scale?
- Has the calculation approach or any customer outcome been independently assured or quantified?
Ask for a demonstration that traces a real source record—from data ingestion through factor selection and calculation to a dashboard and draft disclosure. That is a more useful test than a polished summary screen, because it shows whether the system preserves the evidence and assumptions the reporting team will need to defend.
Public ENZO materials do not disclose its standalone price, standard deployment time, minimum customer size, standard integrations, detailed emissions-factor governance or independent validation. They also do not provide a public customer case study with quantified emissions results. Those details should be confirmed in a proposal rather than inferred from the launch announcement.
