For shoppers reviewing a 2025 purchase, the strongest values were concentrated in OLED TVs, Apple laptops and watches, gaming hardware, and selected smart-home products. The best deal was not always the item with the largest advertised discount: storage, product generation, subscriptions, accessories, and return eligibility could materially change the final cost.

The trade-off was size. Forty-eight inches may suit a bedroom, office, dorm, or smaller living room, but it may feel undersized as a primary television viewed from farther away. OLED buyers should also consider their viewing habits: extended static content, such as persistent news tickers or game interfaces, can make image-retention concerns more relevant than they are with conventional LED sets.
Before treating the deal as a $750 saving, verify the exact B5 model number and the reference price. A reported discount is not automatically proof of an unusually low historical price.

- HDR: Confirm whether the set supports formats such as Dolby Vision and whether its brightness is sufficient to make HDR worthwhile.

Best mainstream laptop: 13-inch MacBook Air with M4 — $749
The reported $749 price covered a 13-inch MacBook Air with the M4 chip, 16GB of memory, and 256GB of storage. It was a strong combination for everyday work, school, browsing, and general creative tasks because the processor and memory were current for the 2025 sale period.
The important limitation was storage. A 256GB SSD can fill quickly with photos, video projects, games, or large application libraries. A higher-capacity configuration may cost more upfront but be cheaper than relying on external storage or replacing the laptop sooner. Also check whether the deal applied only to a particular color, quantity limit, membership status, or exact SKU.

Larger-screen MacBook Air: check the exact 15-inch listing
Contemporary reporting placed the 15-inch M4 MacBook Air at approximately $949–$1,099, reflecting different listings or configurations. Those figures should not be presented as one identical offer. The exact processor, memory, storage, seller, and condition must be matched before comparing the price with the 13-inch model.

Older MacBook models were not automatically better bargains
Older M2 MacBook Air configurations also received discounts. A larger percentage reduction does not necessarily make an older model the better financial choice. Compare processor generation, memory, SSD capacity, expected software-support horizon, battery condition, and whether the unit was new, open-box, refurbished, or sold through Marketplace.
The best gaming deals
Best console deal: PlayStation 5 Digital Edition — $399.99
The PS5 Digital Edition was reported at $399.99, or $100 off. It suited buyers who obtain games digitally and do not need physical discs or 4K Blu-ray playback.
It did not include a disc drive. If you buy used games, borrow discs, resell games, or want movie playback, include the cost of a compatible disc-drive attachment or compare the price with a disc-equipped console. The cheaper headline price is not necessarily the lower long-term cost for those buyers.

- CPU generation;
- RAM capacity and whether it can be upgraded;
- SSD capacity;
- display resolution and refresh rate;
- battery life, weight, and power-adapter size;
- warranty, return eligibility, and seller condition.
A laptop suitable for 1080p gaming may be a poor value for someone expecting 1440p performance. Conversely, paying for a high-end GPU may be wasteful if the computer will mainly be used for school or office work. Check whether the listed price applies to new Best Buy inventory or an open-box or Marketplace listing.
Apple Watch and other wearable deals

These prices must be compared by configuration. GPS-only and cellular watches are not equivalent. Cellular models may require activation with a qualifying carrier and add a monthly service charge. A promotion involving a trade-in, new line, installment billing, or credits spread over several months should be evaluated by separating the upfront price from the required commitment.
Also confirm phone compatibility and whether the particular watch was new, previous-generation, open-box, or refurbished. A low price is less attractive if it requires a carrier plan you would not otherwise purchase.
Smart-home deals
Ring Battery Doorbell — $49.99
The Ring Battery Doorbell was reported at $49.99, down from $99.99. Its listed capabilities included live view, two-way talk, and integration with Echo smart speakers.
It was not a complete security system. Check whether your installation needs existing doorbell wiring, a separately purchased chime, or other accessories. Ring’s subscription ecosystem may also affect the long-term cost: core functions can work without a subscription, but features such as extended cloud video storage and certain advanced recording tools may require a paid plan. Confirm the current feature terms for the exact model before buying.

Buying during the early period could have been sensible when inventory was limited, the price was already strong, or the product was needed before Thanksgiving. Best Buy also advertised a holiday price-match guarantee, but it was subject to exclusions. It was not a promise that every later Black Friday deal, competitor doorbuster, or Marketplace listing would qualify.
Best Buy’s general policy restricted or excluded Marketplace products, clearance items, certain open-box and refurbished products, special daily or hourly sales, some Black Friday pricing, financing and trade-in offers, coupons, service offers, and delivery or installation charges. Review the official Price Match Guarantee for the applicable terms.
How a 2025 price-match request was submitted
For a BestBuy.com purchase, requests were handled through online chat or by phone at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). The policy stated that online-purchase requests could not be completed by email or in a store. For a store purchase, customers could ask a Customer Specialist or the Customer Service desk.
Keep the receipt, exact model or SKU, advertised price, seller identity, and evidence that the competing product was immediately available and identical. Best Buy reserved the right to verify price and stock.

Returns: the January 15 deadline was not universal
Best Buy’s 2025 holiday FAQ generally extended the return period for purchases made October 31–December 31, 2025, through January 15, 2026. That extension had exclusions and remained subject to other return rules.

- Marketplace listings: third-party inventory may not receive the same price-match protections as Best Buy-sold products.
