Other notable offers included a base M4 MacBook Pro for $1,299, a 15-inch M3 MacBook Air with 24GB of memory for $1,199, selected Apple Watch Ultra 2 models for $649 and a Renewed Premium M2 Max Mac Studio for $899.
The headline deal: 24GB M4 MacBook Pro for $1,499
The most compelling offer in the roundup was a 14-inch MacBook Pro with Apple’s M4 chip, 24GB of unified memory and 512GB of storage. B&H listed it at $1,499, compared with the article’s cited $1,799 price.

The attraction was the configuration, not just the discount. MacBook Pro models with 24GB of memory were less commonly discounted than base 16GB versions, and the extra memory is useful for heavy multitasking, development tools, large creative projects and virtual machines. It can also make the computer more comfortable to keep for several years.

For ordinary office work, browsing, streaming and light creative tasks, the base M4 is already capable. The 24GB version is most useful when your workload regularly pushes beyond basic productivity.

Which M4 MacBook Pro configuration made sense?

However, 24GB of memory does not automatically make an M4 Pro faster in every task. Chip tier, core count, thermals and the application being used all matter. The base M4 remains the sensible value choice for most people; the 24GB M4 is the balanced option for buyers who need more memory; and the M4 Pro is for buyers who can use its sustained performance.
Best lower-cost MacBook value: the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air
Amazon’s cited price of $1,199 for a 15-inch M3 MacBook Air with 24GB of memory and 512GB of storage was potentially the roundup’s best bargain for buyers who did not need a MacBook Pro. The article described the offer as $500 below a then-cited $1,699 comparison price.
That “$500 off” figure needs context. The M3 Air was an older-generation product, and Apple’s effective comparison prices had changed as newer models and memory tiers entered the lineup. The comparable 15-inch M4 MacBook Air was cited at $1,399 on sale. The useful comparison was therefore not simply the retailer’s discount claim:

The M3 model was rational for buyers who valued the larger display, 24GB of memory and lower price. Paying more for the M4 model made more sense if the price gap was acceptable and you wanted the newer platform for longer-term ownership.
Before checkout, compare the actual chip, memory, storage and screen size. A cheaper MacBook Air with less memory or a smaller SSD may not be equivalent to the deal being advertised.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 for $649
Selected Apple Watch Ultra 2 configurations were cited at $649, down $150 from the article’s referenced $799 price. Amazon and Best Buy were both mentioned, with black titanium models available through Best Buy at the same historical price.

The Ultra 2 could be a strong value for someone who specifically needs its larger design, extended battery life, rugged construction, GPS capabilities and outdoor-oriented controls. It is less compelling if you primarily want notifications, payments, basic fitness tracking and smartwatch convenience; a standard Apple Watch may cost less and meet those needs.
The source article expected a new Ultra generation before Apple’s customary September 2025 event. That was a publication-time expectation, not a verified statement about product availability in 2026. When considering an older Ultra 2 today, compare its price with the current Ultra model rather than relying only on its original MSRP.
Check the exact case finish, band, cellular status and market-specific features. The lowest price may apply only to a particular band or color, and availability can differ between Amazon and individual Best Buy stores. Health features, including blood-oxygen functionality, should be checked for the specific model, region and sales channel.

Mac Studio: unusually cheap, but refurbished
Amazon listed a Renewed Premium M2 Max Mac Studio with 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage for $899, described as $900 below its original $1,799 price.
That was a substantial historical price, but it was not directly comparable with a new Mac Studio. Before buying a renewed desktop, verify:
- The seller and the exact “Renewed Premium” condition standard.
- The warranty and return window.
- Which accessories are included.
- The delivery condition and procedure for reporting defects.
- That 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage meet your needs, since these components generally cannot be upgraded later.
A refurbished M2 Max Mac Studio could offer excellent performance per dollar for a budget-conscious desktop buyer. A newer M4 Max model may be preferable if you need the latest platform, greater performance headroom or the certainty of buying new.

The roundup also mentioned Twelve South MagSafe stands, the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro and ecobee thermostats. These were secondary offers rather than substitutes for the main Mac and Apple Watch deals. For accessories, compare ports, charging standards, included power adapters and compatibility instead of focusing only on the percentage discount.
How to avoid overpaying for an Apple “deal”
- Confirm the generation. M3, M4, Ultra 2 and current-generation products should not be treated as interchangeable.
- Match the configuration. Check memory, storage, chip tier, screen size, connectivity, case finish and band.
- Separate new from renewed. A refurbished price should not be compared directly with a new-product price.
- Compare the current equivalent. A large discount against an old list price may be less meaningful than a small gap to a newer model.
- Check the retailer. Confirm the seller, warranty, return policy, shipping cost and delivery date.
- Watch for stock changes. The original roundup described offers that sold out and reappeared, sometimes by configuration.
- Recheck before paying. Make sure the cart still shows the same price and exact model.
