Apple Watch Series 10: $329 in the original roundup
The cited $70 reduction from $399 works out to about 17.5%, which explains the headline’s rounded 18% figure. It applies to this watch comparison, not to every product in the roundup. Apple identifies Series 10 as a 2024 model with 42mm and 46mm cases, aluminum and titanium options, and GPS or GPS + Cellular versions. Check the exact case, finish, connectivity, included band, condition, seller and warranty before comparing a listing. Apple’s Series 10 specifications describe its hardware and features.

It may suit someone who wants Series 10’s display and health sensors at a lower price than its cited reference price. Cellular capability, health and safety features, and notifications can depend on hardware, software, region, regulatory approval, a compatible iPhone or a carrier plan. Health features are not medical diagnosis or a substitute for emergency services. If you primarily want the newest watch generation, compare that model’s price and features rather than assuming an older discounted watch is the better buy.
iPad mini (A17 Pro): $399 in the original roundup
Apple’s name is iPad mini (A17 Pro); “iPad mini 7” is common shorthand. Apple’s 2024 model has an 8.3-inch display, A17 Pro, and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB capacities, with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular versions. The cited $399 price appears to have been for the 128GB Wi-Fi configuration, but confirm the listing rather than applying that price to other capacities or cellular models. Its smaller screen may be a drawback for extensive multitasking or laptop-like work; compare an iPad Air if a larger display and keyboard use matter more. The original price applies to a specific configuration: 16GB unified memory and a 256GB SSD. Apple identifies this as the MacBook Air (M2, 2022), with a 13.6-inch display, MagSafe 3, two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports and a headphone jack. Its specifications vary by configuration; confirm memory and storage on the actual listing. Apple’s technical specifications provide model details, and Apple’s Mac compatibility information places it among Apple-silicon Macs.
At the historical price, it could be a reasonable lower-cost Mac for study, office work and moderate workloads if the machine is new, correctly configured and covered by acceptable warranty and return terms. It is a 2022 model, so compare a newer MacBook Air before buying: if the price difference is only about $100–$200, newer hardware may be worth considering. That is a decision threshold, not a claim about current prices. The 256GB SSD can also constrain large media, game or development libraries, and a hub may be useful if two ports are insufficient.
M2 iPad Air: $499 for 11-inch, $799 for 13-inch
The roundup reported $100 off its cited reference price for each size, but those prices do not establish storage, Wi-Fi or cellular configuration, or coupon conditions. Check those details and confirm whether accessories are excluded before comparing the total with another tablet. The 11-inch model may be a better fit when a larger screen than the mini is wanted; the 13-inch option makes more sense when screen area is the priority.

The reported price was about $69.99 against a $99 reference price. AirTags can help locate belongings through Apple’s Find My network, but they are not standalone GPS trackers with their own cellular connection: location reporting depends on nearby Apple devices. The roundup cited selected M3 MacBook Air models from $899 for 13-inch and $1,149 for 15-inch configurations, as well as discounts up to $200 on selected M4 MacBook Pro configurations. Those are not universal prices: the exact chip tier, screen size, memory, storage, comparison price and any coupon can change the value. Compare the full configuration with the M2 Air rather than choosing by the discount alone.

Check the listing before checkout
Because these are archived prices and the original offers were configuration-sensitive, use this checklist when assessing any retailer listing:
- Match the exact model, screen or case size, storage, memory and connectivity to the configuration you want.
- For a watch, confirm GPS versus GPS + Cellular, case material, color and included band; for an iPad, confirm Wi-Fi versus cellular and whether a Pencil is included.
- Check whether the product is new, renewed, refurbished or open-box, and verify the seller, fulfillment method, return policy and warranty coverage.
- Look for a coupon that must be clipped and review the final price at checkout, including any relevant taxes, accessories or service costs.
- Compare the same configuration against newer models and other retailers. The cited reference prices are not proof of today’s best price.
- For Apple Intelligence, separate device compatibility from access to every feature.
