Bottom line: Amazon’s AirTag four-pack was reported at $64.98 on December 20, 2025, down from Apple’s $99 list price. That worked out to about $16.25 per tracker, but the price is historical—not a currently verified offer. Apple’s store currently lists its four-pack at $99, and shoppers should confirm Amazon’s live price, seller, condition, and model before buying.

MacRumors reported that price as a $34 reduction from Apple’s $99 list price and described it as the second-best price it had tracked at the time—within $2 of its tracked Amazon low. That is historical price-tracking context, not proof that $64.98 remains available or is the lowest price today.
Buying four individually at Apple’s current $29 one-pack price would total $116, so a genuine $64.98 four-pack would have saved $51.02 versus buying four single units at Apple’s list price.

The available evidence does not establish that Amazon still sells the four-pack for $64.98. The deal was reported on December 20, 2025, and Amazon prices, inventory, sellers, shipping dates, and checkout discounts can change without notice.

Before purchasing from an archived deal link, check that the listing is:
- New rather than used, renewed, or refurbished;
- Sold and shipped by a seller you trust;
- Described as the correct AirTag generation;
- Covered by an acceptable return policy; and
- Showing the advertised price at checkout, not only in a search result or deal headline.
A product identifier circulated with syndicated coverage was B0D54JZTHY, but an old product URL does not prove that the page still carries the same product or price. Do not treat the archived $64.98 figure as a live buying instruction.
Which AirTag generation was discounted?
This is the most important unresolved detail. The December deal report did not provide enough information to establish definitively whether that Amazon listing was the original AirTag generation or the model Apple now markets as the “next generation” AirTag.

Apple’s current page lists the four-pack at $99 and highlights a louder speaker and expanded Precision Finding range. Those features should not automatically be attributed to an older Amazon listing. Compare the listing’s model description, images, speaker claims, and Precision Finding language with Apple’s current product page before assuming the discounted units are the current model.

What AirTag does—and what it does not do
AirTag is a Bluetooth item tracker built around Apple’s Find My network. It can help locate keys, luggage, wallets, backpacks, cameras, and similar belongings. When you are nearby, a compatible Apple device can help you find the tag, including through Precision Finding on supported hardware.
It is not a standalone GPS or cellular tracker. AirTag does not independently transmit continuous location data. When it is outside your phone’s Bluetooth range, its usefulness depends on nearby Apple devices participating in the Find My network, so updates are not guaranteed or necessarily real time.
That distinction matters for use cases such as pets, vehicles, children, or personal safety. AirTag may help identify an item’s last detected location, but it is not a substitute for a dedicated GPS/cellular service or a safety plan. It is also not a replacement for an airline’s baggage-tracing process.

Apple’s current purchase page says AirTag requires an Apple Account and an iPhone running iOS 26.0 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 26.0 or later. Features vary by device and region.

Precision Finding requires compatible Ultra Wideband hardware. Apple notes that Ultra Wideband features require a paired compatible Apple device and may not be available everywhere; consult its AirTag safety and handling documentation for regional and device qualifications.
Android users are not AirTag’s core audience. Anyone using Android exclusively, or managing a mixed-device household, should compare cross-platform trackers instead of assuming AirTag will provide the same experience.

AirTag uses a replaceable CR2032 coin-cell battery, and Apple’s safety information identifies the battery as replaceable and included with the device. Battery life should not be assumed across generations without checking the specifications for the exact model being sold.

The tag itself does not include a built-in keyring hole or attachment loop. If you plan to attach one to keys, a suitcase handle, a camera bag, or a collar, you will generally need a separate holder or case. Apple sells AirTag accessories, though the holder’s price adds to the real cost of ownership.

Apple advises avoiding damage to the battery contacts or rubber seal and cleaning the device with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Keep the battery and small parts away from children and follow the handling instructions for the specific model.
Privacy and unwanted-tracking protections
AirTag is designed to locate belongings, not to track people covertly. Apple includes unwanted-tracking protections, including alerts and audible warnings intended to notify someone if an unknown AirTag appears to be traveling with them.
Those safeguards can involve delays and should not be treated as a personal-safety system. Do not buy or modify an AirTag with the goal of secretly monitoring another person, and do not assume that disabling or removing safety features is an acceptable workaround.
Who should buy the four-pack?
The four-pack makes the most sense when you already use Apple devices and can immediately assign the tags to several items—for example, luggage, keys, a backpack, and a camera bag. It can also work well for families or as a gift, provided the recipients meet Apple’s compatibility requirements.
Buy a single AirTag instead if you have only one item to track, are unsure whether the Find My experience fits your needs, or would otherwise leave three tags unused. Apple’s current store lists one AirTag at $29.
