The 50%-off claim refers to a past offer on the original Anker SOLIX C1000, not a deal verified for today. Coverage dated February 9, 2026, reported the power station at $397 instead of $799; a later TechRadar deal report dated August 11 listed it at $429.98 instead of $599.99, about 28% off. Those are dated advertised prices, not a confirmed price or stock check for September 28, 2026. Before buying, check the exact model, seller, configuration and checkout price.
What was the 50%-off deal?
The offer behind the headline was for the original-generation Anker SOLIX C1000 Portable Power Station, a roughly 1-kWh-class battery. The February 9, 2026, coverage reported a station-only price of $397 against a stated $799 reference price. That is a $402 difference, or about 50.3% off the stated reference price. The same coverage listed a separate $547 solar-generator bundle with a 100W panel and claimed $780 in savings. These were advertised discounts; the reference prices do not establish what the products typically sold for over time.
A later report gives a more recent dated comparison: on August 11, 2026, TechRadar listed the C1000 at Amazon for $429.98, down from $599.99. That is $170.01 off, or about 28.3%. Neither report verifies the price now. Anker SOLIX advertised a Fan Fest sale through August 23, 2026, but that sale window has passed, and its accessible sale-page content did not verify a current C1000 offer.

For current offer information, Anker SOLIX lists its portable power-station deals and flash sales. A promotion banner or “up to” saving is not proof that this specific model is discounted or in stock. Compare the same generation and package, and check the seller, coupon or membership conditions, shipping, tax and final checkout price. What the original C1000 offers
The original C1000’s main appeal is a useful balance of stored energy, output and recharge speed. The figures below are reported in TechRadar’s August 11, 2026, deal coverage; check the current product documentation for exact configuration details before purchase.

Earlier coverage also describes six AC outlets and four USB ports, expandable capacity and built-in UPS functionality. Confirm the port layout, expansion compatibility and UPS behavior for the exact model and package you are considering. “Compact” is relative to the power-station class: at about 27.6 lb, this is not a backpacking battery.
What can it power, and for how long?
Watts describe the power a device draws at a given moment; watt-hours describe stored energy and help estimate how long a load can run. A device’s startup demand can briefly exceed its normal running draw, especially with compressors and motors. Keep the C1000’s reported 1,800 W standard AC output in mind; do not treat the 2,400 W SurgePad figure as a general continuous rating.

A rough estimate is runtime ≈ usable battery watt-hours × inverter efficiency ÷ device watts. The 1,056 Wh nameplate capacity is not all available to an AC appliance: inverter losses, battery reserve, standby use, temperature and changing loads all affect runtime. For cycling appliances such as refrigerators, compressor duty cycle and startup demand make a simple wattage division particularly unreliable.

The February deal coverage gave examples such as roughly 14 hours for a full-size refrigerator and more than a dozen laptop recharges. Treat those as scenario-dependent illustrations, not guaranteed results for your appliances.
What to check before you pay
- Generation: Confirm whether the listing is for the original C1000 or the C1000 Gen 2. The deal coverage establishes that a newer generation exists, but does not provide a verified side-by-side specification comparison.
- Package: A station-only listing and a panel bundle are different purchases. “Solar generator” wording alone does not mean a solar panel is in the box. The historical $547 bundle was described as including a 100W panel; verify the contents of any current offer.
- Seller and price basis: Check who sells the unit, whether a coupon or membership is required, and the final checkout total. A “was” price can be a list-price comparison rather than the usual street price.
- Power needs: Compare the appliance’s normal draw and startup demand with the station’s output ratings. For critical equipment, check its requirements and the manufacturer’s guidance rather than relying on a general runtime claim.
- Portability and accessories: Decide whether moving a roughly 28-lb unit is practical for your use. A panel, case or expansion battery may cost extra and can change the total price and portability.
- Terms: Check the current return policy, warranty, shipping terms and any limits on the offer before ordering; terms can vary by seller and listing.
Should you buy the original C1000 or compare newer options?
The original C1000 makes the most financial sense when its live price is meaningfully lower than a comparable newer-generation station and its 1,056 Wh capacity and 1,800 W standard output meet your needs. Its fast reported AC recharge may also matter if you expect to refill it between outages or while traveling.
If the original is only modestly cheaper than the C1000 Gen 2, compare the current first-party specifications, warranty, software and accessory compatibility before choosing. The available dated coverage does not establish enough Gen 2 details to quantify the improvements or declare one generation universally better. Buyers considering a different brand should compare like-for-like capacity, continuous output, included accessories and warranty terms rather than relying on a headline discount. Official stores for Jackery, BLUETTI and EcoFlow are starting points, but their current model prices and specifications need to be checked directly.

Who is it a good fit for?
- Consider it for camping, RV trips, work equipment, communications gear or limited outage backup if the listing is for the intended generation and the price is compelling against current alternatives.
- Compare a smaller unit if you mainly need phone or laptop charging and would rather spend less or carry less weight.
- Compare a larger station if longer refrigerator runtime or more stored energy is your priority; added capacity usually means more cost and bulk.
- Look beyond a portable station for central HVAC, a well pump, an electric range, an entire electrical panel or sustained whole-home backup. Those needs call for appropriately designed home-backup equipment, not a 1-kWh portable unit.
For a household budget, count the full setup rather than just the station’s headline price: panel, expansion battery, delivery and any other required accessories can make an apparently steep discount less compelling. If the current price is not verified or the model is near the price of its successor, waiting to compare exact listings is more prudent than buying on the strength of an expired “50% off today” claim.
